"Ding-dong, ding-dong!"
Just as Wang Bin was practicing the Yi Jin Jing, the doorbell rang.
Wang Bin immediately noticed more than a dozen police officers standing outside through the security camera at the entrance, including Officer Li, whom he had met once before.
Seeing the police arrive, Wang Bin sighed inwardly, thankful that Xiao Kai had reminded him before leaving last night, otherwise he wouldn't know how to deal with being suddenly investigated by the police.

"Hello, we are from the Municipal Criminal Investigation Division. We suspect you are involved in a murder case last night. This is a search warrant. Please cooperate!"
"Please come in, search us if you want!"
Wang Bin smiled faintly and let the police in. Soon, more than ten police officers quickly entered his home and began searching everywhere.
The middle-aged man who was in the lead and Officer Li sat down in the living room with Wang Bin and asked, "Wang Bin, we have a few questions for you?"
"Ask away!"
"Do you have a grudge against Li Zhenqiang?"
"Yeah, he stole my girlfriend, so I kicked him!"
Where were you between midnight and 2 a.m. last night?
"I play PUBG at home."
"Did you provide any testimony?"
"No, I was alone in the house at the time. You should ask the security guards in the community. They are very responsible and patrol every hour. They should have seen me at home!"
Upon hearing Wang Bin's words, Officer Li stood up and walked outside, clearly going to investigate whether what Wang Bin said was true or false.
Officer Li left the villa and quickly went to the security room to ask if they had seen Wang Bin at home that night.
The security guards on duty last night said they saw that Wang Bin's lights were always on, and there was always someone on the third floor who would get up and walk around from time to time. However, because there were curtains, they couldn't tell if the person was Wang Bin.
Officer Li then retrieved the surveillance footage from the previous night and discovered that You Hongfei, Li Xingping, and Xiao Kai had all visited Wang Bin's house, but left early in the morning.
Officer Li copied a copy onto a USB drive and then went back to the villa to meet up with the captain.
After returning to the villa, Officer Li recounted the results of his investigation to Wang Bin, and then began to look around.
"Who were those three people who came to see you last night? What did they want with you?"
“Two of them are my roommates, and the other is a security guard I hired. We jointly run a company, which is currently under renovation. I called them over last night mainly to inquire about the company’s recent progress.”
"Could you give me their names and phone numbers?"
"Can!"
The four of them had already rehearsed their statements last night, so Wang Bin wasn't afraid of them questioning You Hongfei and the other two.
"Are you sick?" Officer Li came to the kitchen and quickly smelled the aroma of Chinese medicine. He opened the lid and saw that it was indeed Chinese medicine, so he came out to ask Wang Bin.
"Yeah, I stayed up too late last night and probably caught a cold. I went out this morning to get some Chinese medicine."
As Wang Bin said this, Officer Li stared intently at him, but Wang Bin showed no sign of panic.
Not long after, the police who searched the house returned, but they found nothing suspicious. If they had found any suspicious evidence, they could have taken Wang Bin away directly, but they found nothing and he had an alibi, so they had no choice but to have him sign the statement he had just given and leave.
Before leaving, Captain Zhang added, "You are still a suspect and cannot leave H City for the time being. We will come looking for you if there are any problems!"

Captain Zhang led everyone out of the villa and drove off to find the next suspect.
After Captain Zhang and his men left, Wang Bin quickly took out his phone and sent WeChat messages to You Hongfei and the other two. Upon seeing their replies, he immediately deleted the messages.

Officer Li agreed, and once the car stopped, she jumped out, flagged down another police car behind her, and drove back to the police station.
