When Wang Bin returned to the town, he found that the female leader was leading everyone in cleaning up the zombie corpses. If so many zombie corpses were not dealt with in time, they could easily infect the people in the city with diseases.
Eager to see Officer Miao and his team, Wang Bin didn't greet them and drove his tank directly to Officer Miao.
After finding Officer Miao and his team safe and sound, Wang Bin finally breathed a sigh of relief.
Zhao Qianqian glanced at Li Xiaolu and was about to go back to prepare herbs. When Li Dazhu heard that she still needed to prepare herbs, he quickly followed and offered to help. Zhao Qianqian did not object, and the two left.
Officer Miao saw Wang Bin and Guan Xiaoyue staring at Li Dazhu, who had already walked away, with smiles on their faces, and curiously walked over to ask what was going on.
"That doctor seems to really like Uncle Li!"
Before Wang Bin could answer, A Bao spoke up first.
Although he was young, people in the post-apocalyptic world were very mature, and he immediately noticed that Li Dazhu and Zhao Qianqian were having an ambiguous relationship.
"Really? Someone actually likes Dazhu?" Officer Miao asked in surprise.
"Don't talk about my brother like that, he's a really good person!" Li Xiaolu, who was lying in bed, was happy for her brother when she heard what A Bao said, but she immediately put on a stern face after hearing what Officer Miao said.
"Okay, okay, your brother is the best!" Hearing Li Xiaolu's words, Officer Miao didn't hold it against her and went over to gently pinch her cheek.
Then, urged by everyone, Abao vividly described their experience of going out to collect herbs. When they heard that Li Dazhu almost fell while collecting herbs, everyone was startled. Then, when they heard that Zhao Qianqian was helping Li Dazhu bandage his wounds, everyone laughed happily.
Not long after, Li Dazhu returned with the prepared herbs, and Sister Liu immediately brewed Chinese medicine for Li Xiaolu.
Afterwards, everyone surrounded Li Dazhu, asking him all sorts of questions, including whether he liked Zhao Qianqian. At first, Li Dazhu was a little shy and refused to say, but eventually, he couldn't resist the harassment and told the truth: he liked Zhao Qianqian, and it seemed that Zhao Qianqian liked him too.
"Dazhu, work hard and try to recruit Dr. Zhao into our team. Then we won't be afraid of getting sick anymore!"
"Yes, Dazhu, give it your all!"
"Go for it, bro!"
"Uh, I'll try my best!"
"Dazhu, when you go to see Dr. Zhao later, write down Li Xiaolu's symptoms and what medicine she needs on a piece of paper, the more detailed the better, so I can go there and find someone to buy medicine for your sister."
"Understood, thank you!"
"You're welcome. By the way, could you also inquire about this town and whether the female chieftain is reliable?"
"I understand. By the way, Zhao Qianqian said she wanted some of our medicine. She has many patients, and she's out of medicine."
"Take them all. Well, I'll just take a portion of each to avoid any questions later!"
"Um!"
Li Xiaolu looked much better after taking the traditional Chinese medicine, but she would have to wait for Wang Bin to bring the medicine back before she could fully recover.
Just before dinner, the female leader arrived with several people.
"It's lunchtime now, why don't you all join us?"
"No need for that. We still have some food left. There are so many of you, we won't compete with you!"
"Ah! It's alright. Let's celebrate today as repayment for saving your lives! There are many people waiting for you outside. They will be very disappointed if you don't go!"
"Alright, let's go then. This is a bottle of wine we found on the way here; consider it a small gift!"
"Ah, you even have wine, thank you so much!"
The female leader didn't stand on ceremony; she took the bottle, glanced at it, and handed the wine to someone next to her.
Soon, led by the female leader, the group headed towards the square. To celebrate the elimination of the zombies, they lit a fire in the square and prepared to have a bonfire party.
Li Xiaolu's health was not suitable for walking, so Sister Liu stayed to take care of her, while the others went with her.
When the female leader led Wang Bin and the others to the square, everyone stood up and applauded to welcome them. Wang Bin was very happy, especially A Bao and Xiao Nan, who kept waving to the crowd around them.
"Everyone, please be quiet. Today, in our time of crisis, it was their arrival that saved us. They are not only heroes, but also our saviors. How do you think we should repay our saviors?"
"Singing and dancing!"
"Okay, everyone, let's jump!"
As soon as he finished speaking, dozens of men and women ran out from the crowd, holding hands and dancing the local dance while shouting "Ooh ooh!"
"We were originally going to treat you to some wine, but we don't have any here, so we'll have to use your bottle to serve you!"
The female leader then had someone open the bottle caps and bring out several small bowls to offer Wang Bin and his group a toast.
Wang Bin and his companions were quite embarrassed, unsure whether to continue drinking or not. In the end, Wang Bin chose to drink it, and soon only a third of the large bottle of Moutai remained. The female leader only drank half a small bowl when toasting, and then gave the rest of the wine to the people around her to share.
"I'm so sorry, we've known each other for so long but haven't formally introduced ourselves yet. My name is Liu Fang. I grew up here, and later I went abroad to study for a few years. After making some money overseas, I returned to my hometown to open a factory. But a few years later, the apocalypse broke out, and I led everyone to survive here!"
"Sister Liu is really capable. It's not easy to keep so many people alive, and to make them all so happy!" After listening to the female leader's introduction, Wang Bin was very impressed with her. She was a true strong woman.
