Just as the four were checking if there were any survivors, a shot was fired by one of the men lying on the ground.
"ah!"
"Dazhu, how are you?"
The man shot Li Dazhu with one shot, and Officer Miao reacted quickly by firing a shot at the man on the ground.
"I'm fine, I was just hit in the arm!"
"Okay, everyone hide well, I'll take care of these people!"
Upon hearing that Li Dazhu had only been hit in the arm, Wang Bin breathed a sigh of relief. After telling everyone to take cover, he took out the rifle with a night vision scope from his system space.
With night vision enabled, the enemy's figure immediately appeared in the scope, and soon it was discovered that there were three more figures slowly moving.
Bang bang bang!
Three shots were fired in quick succession, and the three men who had been running just moments before suddenly stopped moving.
Wang Bin scanned the area again with his night vision scope and, finding no survivors, then approached Li Dazhu.
Officer Miao and Guan Xiaoyue were already checking on Li Dazhu's injuries and found that he had only been hit in the arm and was not in any life-threatening danger.
"Officer Miao, you should know some first aid, right? Could you please bandage Dazhu's wound? We'll figure out how to remove the bullet after we get out of here safely."
"Okay, bring out the first-aid kit!"
Wang Bin quickly took out a first-aid kit and handed it to Officer Miao. Just as she said, she knew some first-aid techniques. She first helped Da Zhu clean the wound, and then took out gauze to bandage the wound.
"There are footsteps!"
Just as Officer Miao finished bandaging Dazhu's arm, a series of hurried footsteps came from the corridor.
"Captain, Captain, what happened?"
"We've encountered the Zombie King! Come help us quickly!"
Upon hearing that it was a group of people guarding the second floor, Wang Bin shouted at them.
When Guan Xiaoyue and the other two heard Wang Bin say there was a Corpse King, they almost burst out laughing. The reason Wang Bin made up was too far-fetched. However, the people upstairs had no idea about the situation and quickly ran downstairs.
"Kill them all!"
Because the light was too dim, Wang Bin couldn't tell which ones were Captain Li's men, so he had no choice but to give the order to kill them all.
Before the group could even react, Wang Bin and his three companions opened fire, instantly killing the men who had fallen into pools of blood.
"Hurry up and help me find the box. Once I have my things, we need to get out of here as soon as possible!"
The three agreed and took the torches that had fallen to the ground to look for the box. As soon as Wang Bin found the box, he put everything into his system space without caring what was inside.
"Let's go, get out of here!"
As soon as Wang Bin finished collecting the contents of the box, he immediately got up and led the three of them upstairs.
As soon as the three of them reached the entrance of the passage, they saw ten zombies running down from above.
"shot!"
At this point, they couldn't care less about attracting more zombies; the only way to survive was to fight their way out as quickly as possible.
All four were good marksmen, and a burst of fire quickly killed all the zombies. When the four rushed out of the passage and arrived at the second basement level, they found that the surrounding zombies were running frantically towards them.
"Retreat immediately!"
Upon seeing so many zombies, Wang Bin quickly led the three of them toward the passage leading to the first floor.
The men guarding the basement had heard the gunshots long ago, but they didn't know what had happened down there, so they didn't come down. Moreover, the gunshots had already attracted the surrounding zombies, who were rushing towards the entrance of the passage following the sound of the gunshots. They could only stay there and fight off the zombies.
Wang Bin and his three companions fought their way back and soon arrived at the passage leading to the underground level. By this time, countless zombies had already followed behind them, forming a terrifying, dark mass.
"Throw a grenade!"
Wang Bin shouted and quickly took out a grenade and threw it over.
Bang! Bang!
Several explosions blasted away the zombies at the front, but more zombies followed, stepping over the corpses of their companions.
So Wang Bin and his three companions fought and retreated, and soon arrived at the entrance to the first basement level. The guards there were already fighting with the zombies, and because there were so many zombies, two of them had already been killed.
Wang Bin and his three companions quickly opened fire on the horde of zombies in front of them, clearing a path in no time.
"Wang Bin, I need bullets!"
"Brother Wang, I need one too!"
Officer Miao and his team soon ran out of bullets. Upon hearing the call, Wang Bin quickly threw a grenade to cushion the zombies' attack, while simultaneously taking out bullets from his system space and handing them to the three men.
Because Guan Xiaoyue and her two companions were reloading, their firepower was greatly reduced, allowing the surrounding zombies to get much closer.
At this point, Wang Bin stopped worrying about conserving ammunition and threw out grenades one after another. Just as he threw out the fourth one, gunshots rang out behind him. Officer Miao was the first to load his gun and fire.
"This is no place to stay, break through quickly!"
Seeing that the three men had already changed their bullets, Wang Bin quickly led them to break through the encirclement.
After a flurry of fire, the four finally reached the gate, only to find it deserted, having been killed by the onrushing zombies.
The zombies at the gate were fighting over the guards they had just killed. When they saw Wang Bin and his group of four, they immediately howled and charged at them.
Bang! Bang!
A burst of gunfire quickly cleared away a patch of zombies at the entrance.
"Run! The zombies are catching up!"
The four had just cleared a patch of ground at the entrance when the zombies behind them caught up. Without daring to linger, they rushed out the door.
