Chapter 5 The Tiger Head Gang Attacks

Wang Bin couldn't answer this question immediately, so he consulted the system and learned that wherever he left from, he would reappear within a hundred meters of that point when he returned to this world.

Upon receiving the answer, Wang Bin immediately and excitedly agreed.

"Okay, if you can help me collect this precious necklace and gold, I'll bring you even more food next time!"

"Okay, it's a deal then, you can't go back on your word!"

"Don't worry, anyone who goes back on their word is a little dog!"

Seeing that Wang Bin had agreed, Guan Xiaoyue thought Wang Bin was a fool. Who would exchange such useless things for food?

Over the years, the city's food reserves have been almost completely depleted. The food people can eat now is mostly things like dried rats. Any one of the foods Wang Bin brought would drive the people here crazy.

The two then talked for a long time, and Wang Bin had gained a general understanding of the world.

After several years of effort, the government has established several human settlements with high walls and heavy guards, making it impossible for zombies to break through.

The survivors all wanted to go to these places where humans gathered, but unfortunately the journey was long and there were many zombies along the way, so many people could only dream about it.

However, some people went to search for human settlements, but unfortunately, very few were ever reached.

While the government was researching ways to combat the virus, it was also developing communities that were basically self-sufficient. However, for ordinary people, their food supply was barely enough to survive, and it was absolutely impossible for them to return to their previous standard of living.

Of course, Wang Bin also talked about some of his own stories, but most of them were fabricated. He pretended to be a merchant who collected jewelry and gold in various cities and exchanged them with the surviving members of high society.

It got dark quickly. Since the power had been cut off long ago and people dared not light a fire at night, the house was very dark.

"It's dangerous at night, you'd better not go out!"

"clear!"

Wang Bin agreed and went back to his room, then blocked the door with a cabinet.

Although Guan Xiaoyue and he had a fairly good relationship, there was no guarantee that she wouldn't come and kill him while he was asleep, so it was best to be careful.

In addition to food, Wang Bin also brought a mobile phone and charger. He turned on his phone, plugged in his earphones, and lay on the bed listening to music.

He was exhausted after a long day and fell asleep without realizing it.

"ah!"

At midnight, Wang Bin was awakened by a scream.

He immediately stood up from the bed, then slung his backpack over his shoulder, grabbed his entrenching tool, and went to the window to look outside.

Under the moonlight, he spotted more than twenty figures not far away, walking towards them.

It seems someone has stepped into a trap set by Guan Xiaoyue. Everyone stopped in alarm and nervously checked the surrounding terrain.

"Knock knock!"

"Wang Bin, get up quickly, we have to go!"

Soon there was a knock on his door; Guan Xiaoyue was knocking on his door.

Wang Bin took all his belongings, moved the cabinet blocking the door, and then opened the door.

"What happened?"

"The Tiger Head Gang is here. We have to leave immediately!"

"Ah, who are the Tiger Head Gang?"

"It's the gang of the two people we killed today. Let's leave now, and I'll explain in detail to you when we have a chance!"

"Ah, okay!"

Upon hearing this, Wang Bin knew that the other party had come seeking revenge, so he didn't dare to delay and quietly ran out with Guan Xiaoyue.

Guan Xiaoyue also carried a backpack this time, it seems she brought all her valuables with her.

The Tiger Head Gang members only knew that Guan Xiaoyue lived nearby, but they didn't know which building she lived in. Before they could surround them, the two of them quietly slipped away under the cover of night.

This night is indeed very dangerous, because you never know where a zombie might emerge from, and you could easily get bitten by one.

Fortunately, Xiaoyue led the way, so Wang Bin didn't encounter any danger. If he had been alone at night, he probably wouldn't have survived.

After walking for more than ten minutes, Guan Xiaoyue arrived at a dilapidated house. There were zombies both inside and outside the house. Guan Xiaoyue led Wang Bin to avoid the zombies and climbed up a broken wall.

"Don't worry, the stairs on the first floor have collapsed, the zombies can't get up there!"

The thought of living in a house infested with zombies genuinely frightened Wang Bin, but hearing Guan Xiaoyue's words reassured him. He turned on his phone's flashlight and shone it on the stairs; sure enough, the staircase leading to the second floor had collapsed, preventing the zombies below from climbing up.

"Your phone still has power?" Guan Xiaoyue was so surprised she could hardly speak. She hadn't used any electrical appliances since the power outage.

"Um!"

Do you still have songs on your phone?

"Yes, would you like to hear it?"

Seeing Guan Xiaoyue's excitement, Wang Bin understood her feelings and handed her the phone.

"Can I really listen to music?"

"Okay, put on your headphones and listen!"

"Mmm, thank you!"

Guan Xiaoyue excitedly took the phone, immediately put the earphones in her ears, and then randomly selected a song she had never heard before to listen to.

The moment the song started, Guan Xiaoyue's eyes reddened, and tears quickly began to flow.

"You, you, don't cry!"

"Thank you, I haven't listened to music for years!"

"You're welcome. If you want to listen to music, I'll bring you a phone when I come back, and I'll also bring you a few power banks!"

"Oh, really?"

"Of course it's true!"

"Thanks!"

"I've already told you, you don't need to be so polite!"

"Yes, thank you, this song is great!"

After saying that, Guan Xiaoyue actually started humming softly. Only then did Guan Xiaoyue reveal the expression that a seventeen or eighteen-year-old girl should have.

In order to survive over the years, she has been in a state of extreme tension, not only having to guard against zombies, but also against living people. It can be said that she has been extremely tired.

Hearing the long-lost singing voice opened her heart and restored her girlish identity.

When Guan Xiaoyue saw Wang Bin smiling at her, she blushed a little embarrassedly, then took off one of her earphones and handed it to Wang Bin. Wang Bin didn't stand on ceremony, smiled, and put the earphone in his own ear. The two leaned against the wall and happily listened to the same song.

"Alright, Brother Wang, you can put your phone away now!"

"What's wrong? Don't you want to hear it anymore?"

"No, it uses a lot of electricity, so use it sparingly!"

"All right!"

Wang Bin thought about it and realized that it made sense. He had only brought a 10,000 mAh charger with him this time, and if he didn't use it sparingly, it probably wouldn't last more than seven days.

"Now can you tell me about the Tiger Head Gang?"

"Um!"
