"Excuse me, is Wen Manqing home?"
The fifth brother walked to the front of the bus and knocked on the door, but no one answered after asking several times. He turned around and saw Jiang Yuan and the others still waiting, so he had to raise his voice and shout, "Wen Manqing, I know you live here."
With a creak, the curtain of the abandoned bus was pulled open slightly, and a slightly nervous face flashed by. Suddenly, the sunroof on the top of the bus opened wide, and a figure scrambled up in a flash. Facing the four-meter height, he didn't even blink before leaping down and then ran away.
"What's going on?" Jiang Yuan and his group were dumbfounded.
"Hey, Wen Manqing, I'm not here to collect debts!" The fifth brother was anxious. If this woman left, wouldn't the boss next to him chop him up?
Although the people who were fleeing quickly heard this, they did not stop; instead, they seemed to run even faster.

"Who said we came to ask you for money!" Jiang Yuan was speechless. He pointed to Leng Yue and said, "We rescued a girl on the road, and when we heard you were her relative, we brought her here!"
"Not debt collectors?" The woman breathed a sigh of relief, then exclaimed in surprise, "Girl! Who is she?"
"Lin Siyin!" Jiang Yuan didn't want to waste any more words; he just wanted to find a good place for Ning Yanlan to rest.
These past few days have been exhausting for Ning Yanlan. He himself is a physical cultivator and rest is not a big problem, but Ning Yanlan is different; she needs a lot of sleep.
"Siyin?" The woman's eyes widened in surprise. "She's not dead?"
"Do you want your niece to die?" Jiang Yuan raised an eyebrow.
"No, no, no, you've misunderstood!" Wen Manqing realized her tone was inappropriate and quickly explained, "I was just surprised. When the Ninth Legion withdrew, I didn't see my sister and her family. I thought they had all perished in the beasts' jaws!"
"Go and see if she's your niece. If she is, take her with you. We have other things to do!" Jiang Yuan said.
Wen Manqing gave an awkward smile, stopped running, and turned back to Leng Yue's side. After taking a look, she confirmed, "Yes, this is my sister's daughter!"
"If that's the case, then take her away!" Jiang Yuan gestured for Leng Yue to put Lin Siyin down.
"Demons, demons, get away from me! Don't touch me!"
Leng Yue's movements woke Lin Siyin, but unexpectedly, Lin Siyin shouted loudly when she landed, and her condition was very strange.
Wen Manqing thought her niece was talking about her, and stood there dumbfounded, not knowing what to do.
Seeing this, Jiang Yuan had no choice but to explain, "Your niece has suffered a bit of a shock, so please take good care of her!"
After he finished speaking, Leng Yue handed Lin Siyin over to Wen Manqing.
"Oh, I haven't thanked you yet! Why don't you come to my house for a cup of tea first, so I can properly express my gratitude!" Wen Manqing said, her eyes darting around as she tried to persuade them to stay.
Before Jiang Yuan could say anything, Lao Wu shouted, "What tea? My elder brother and sister-in-law have been traveling all afternoon and haven't had a hot meal yet. It would be more reliable to get us some food!"
Jiang Yuan: "..."
This guy keeps calling himself "boss" and "big brother," is he a little slow on the uptake? But Jiang Yuan didn't actually refuse. To be honest, he was really hungry. If you count today, he hadn't had a hot meal for three days. Eating only dry rations without rice was really a bit of an adjustment for a young man from the south.
“This…” Wen Manqing looked embarrassed.
"What's wrong? My older brother and the others went through a lot of trouble to save your niece. You have to treat them to a meal!" The fifth brother was not polite to this old acquaintance at all. Although he called him an old acquaintance, it was actually just his own wishful thinking. After all, Wen Manqing's appearance was quite famous in the outer area.
"To be honest, I haven't eaten for two days, and all I have at home is tea!" Wen Manqing said this with utter shame. How embarrassing it was to be unable to offer any food to her niece's savior.
"Little sister, let's just go upstairs for some tea, no need to cook!" Ning Yanlan said, trying to ease the tension.
“That’s right, just have a cup of tea, and let me also tell you about your niece’s situation!” Jiang Yuan wasn’t in a hurry to leave. He wanted to see things through to the end. Since he had saved Lin Siyin, he wanted to see if she could be properly taken care of, otherwise it would be no different from not saving her at all.
"Then, young lady, could you help Siyin up?" Wen Manying asked, looking somewhat embarrassed.
Ning Yanlan helped Lin Siyin up, and Wen Manying quickly climbed onto the top of the bus and then scurried inside. A moment later, the iron gate of the main entrance was pushed open with a click.
"Friends, please come in and have a seat!" Wen Manqing poked her head out to greet them; she had only gone in to open the door.
"Boss, please!"
The fifth brother waited respectfully at the door. Jiang Yuan glanced at the bus and, after confirming there was no danger, said, "Let's go in and take a look!"
