Chapter 6 Hero Saves the Beauty

Jiang Yuan looked to the other side with lingering fear. The bullet had been fired by the girl over there, and it had grazed his cheek. The sharp wind from the bullet had even cut his skin.

"It's not dead yet, kill it quickly!" The girl's voice was exceptionally pleasant, despite the panic in it.

Sure enough, when Jiang Yuan looked over, the Firehound was still alive; the bullet had only severely injured it, thus interrupting its attempt to bite him to death.

"Die!"

Jiang Yuan flipped over and straddled the Firehound by its neck, the Tang sword he had just pulled from the mouth of the other Firehound once again struggling to plunge into the belly of the Firehound beneath him.

The Firehound thrashed wildly, but it couldn't shake off Jiang Yuan, who was holding its neck with one hand and gripping the Tang sword piercing its body with the other. The violent movements only hastened its death.

Finally, after Jiang Yuan's relentless efforts, the Firehound beneath him, with most of its belly torn open, could no longer hold on and died.

At this moment, Jiang Yuan dared not relax, because the Firehound that he had lured and locked up with canned food was still destroying the iron gate. The iron gate, which originally had good protective specifications, was already overwhelmed by the Firehound's frenzied attacks.

The side effects of Jiang Yuantian's Heavenly Eye appeared again. His increasingly blurred vision and fading senses made him realize that he would definitely have to leave today. He struggled to walk up to the woman and said in a deep voice, "Leave this place quickly!"

"careful!"

Jiang Yuan turned around in horror upon hearing this, only to see a gigantic figure looming over everything.

The locked-up Firehound broke through the iron gate and pounced directly at Jiang Yuan. Jiang Yuan had no chance to resist.

This is a wild beast, the kind that's incredibly wild!

Jiang Yuan raised the Tang sword in his hand. At this moment, he felt no fear, but rather a sense of calm.

The saying "You can die standing, but you can't live kneeling" perfectly encapsulates a person's courage, even if that person has never experienced the baptism of blood before.

"Spirit Shield!"

As Jiang Yuan faced death, the girl who had been hiding and shooting with a pistol suddenly stood in front of him, a faint white light appearing above her hands, and a hemispherical light screen stretched between the Firehound and Jiang Yuan.

With a thud, the Firehound struck the light screen with its claw, and the woman coughed up a mouthful of blood, her hands trembling.

Jiang Yuan shook his head hard, and when his vision cleared a little, he made a decision: he had to kill the Firehound, or neither of them would survive.

"Withdraw the shield!" Jiang Yuan shouted angrily. He had even forgotten why the girl could casually throw out a shield. All he could think about now was surviving and killing the Firehound that was threatening his life.

The girl hesitated for a moment, but still withdrew her shield.

Without the protection of the light shield, the Firehound pounced directly. Jiang Yuan raised his Tang sword above his head, and when the Firehound landed, it made direct physical contact with the Tang sword. With a "plop," the Tang sword was pierced into the Firehound's abdomen, but Jiang Yuan was also knocked unconscious by a claw.

"Woo!" The Firehound charged towards Jiang Yuan, wanting to kill him in one blow.

The Firehound was already badly injured. It had been shot several times by the girl with a pistol, and then it went berserk and destroyed the iron gate. Now it had been stabbed in the abdomen by a Tang sword, but its wild instincts made it fight back desperately, a fight to the death.

"Pfft!" Jiang Yuan was in excruciating pain when he fell, but he didn't want to die, so he struggled to sit up.

"Spirit Shield!"

The girl arrived almost at the same time as the Firehound. The Firehound's attack struck the light barrier once again, and she was trembling all over, reaching her limit.

"Spirit Awakening Completion Rate: 0.2%!"

"Spirit Awakening Completion Rate: 0.3%!"

As it approached its limit, the completion rate of the Spirit Awakening was rapidly increasing, reaching three per thousand in the blink of an eye. Jiang Yuan gritted his teeth, then kicked the girl away, saying, "Let's go, I'll hold it off!"

The shield disappeared, and Jiang Yuan took the initiative to grab the Tang sword first. He used all his remaining strength and with a whoosh, the Tang sword shredded the Fire Crack Dog's internal organs, while the Fire Crack Dog pinned Jiang Yuan down.

The man and the dog engaged in the most primal battle, resorting to any means necessary, all in an effort to survive.

"Bang!"

With the final gunshot, Jiang Yuan's consciousness faded, and so did the Firehound; it showed no further signs of tearing at him.

While he was unconscious, he felt immense pressure, as if a huge mountain was pressing down on him, making it hard for him to breathe.

Little did he know, he was truly pinned down. The girl, exhausted from the five or six hundred pounds of the Firefly Dog, couldn't pull him away at all. Blood began to flow from the Firefly Dog's body, and in just a short while, it had soaked Jiang Yuan's entire body.

Whether it's his clothes or his hair, Jiang Yuan's spiritual awakening completion rate is gradually increasing.
