Julian Mendoza - The Happy Bird

Julian Mendoza - The Happy Bird

The management has been relaxed a lot. I don’t have to calculate the daily carbohydrate intake, and the number of pinholes on my arms has stopped.

.

This is not right.

Zhu Fu Jingguang thought so. To reach Kelver's laboratory, one needs to pass through a long corridor. He saw many researchers in white coats walking in a hurry without even a glance. The lighting was very bright, without the special effects of horror movies. Julian was skipping in front, leading the way. Everyone who saw him subconsciously lowered their head. Zhu Fu Jingguang could feel the surprise, fear, and disgust contained in their wandering gazes... It was as if the end was the gate to hell and they were sliding towards the abyss.

"Too slow," Julian turned around and happened to run into Zhu Fujingguang's thoughtful expression. He pouted and trotted back to hold the man's hand. "Scotland, you're slowing down. Are you feeling unwell?"

"No," Zhu Fujingguang lowered his eyes and gave the child a comforting smile. The brown-haired girl passed by them. She opened her mouth slightly, but in the end, she didn't say anything. She just walked in the opposite direction, going against them. "I'm just thinking about something. Let's go."

"Don't keep Kelver waiting too long."

Julian led Zhu Fu Jingguang through the corridor. When they opened the door, they saw a huge piece of glass. They watched the busy experimenters through the glass. If they wanted to actually enter, they would need to open a few more doors.

Alvin's laboratory was decorated in the same Cthulhu style as always. Strange, never-before-seen insects were wriggling in the breeding boxes, making a chilling rustling sound. Zhu Fujingguang keenly spotted Miravo's figure in the corner of the laboratory. She was facing away, with her long light blonde hair tied behind her head, and in front of her was a bunch of mushrooms in the dim light.

Kelver raised his hand to stop his younger brother from moving, and gestured to Scotland to take them to a room on the side. The requirements before entering the laboratory were posted on the wall. Disinfection and changing of clothes were necessary. Because no sound could be heard, Zhu Fu Jingguang simply nodded to Kelver and took Julian into the preparation room.

That's about it. Kelf pursed his lips, Christina adjusted the position of her gas mask, the lab assistant left the scene under the gaze of the two code members, Mason had already taken over the monitoring outside the scene, Julian put on gloves and masks obediently, and asked Scotland innocently, "Jacob found his parents, right?"

"Yes," Zhu Fujingguang checked his clothes to ensure that he had not brought any contamination, and replied nonchalantly, "His information matches a missing person case."

"Adrian Marshall was 10 months old when he was shopping with his mother and was taken away from his stroller. His family has been looking for him for eight years and never gave up. The police found an email in his mother's mailbox that should have been sent by Jacob. It was a scheduled email, but his mother only received it yesterday. I don't know how he was able to find his family with those meager memories."

Is that so? Julian's ears moved slightly, catching the tiny sound. A bright smile broke out on his face, and his lively voice just blocked Zhu Fu Jingguang's intuition that reminded his master that something was wrong.

"Well, it has nothing to do with us."
