Julian Mendoza - The Happy Bird

Julian Mendoza - The Happy Bird

"Sister Shiho!" The boy, who looked about eight or nine years old, was bored in the lab, and couldn't disturb his brother who was concentrating on his work. He looked up and saw his familiar sister walking down the corridor. He immediately jumped off the chair happily and threw himself into the arms of his target like a young swallow. "You've been so busy lately. Can't you have dinner with me and my brother?"

Miyano Shiho, who was in a daze, was hit so hard. The little boy never knew the severity of the situation. She rubbed her waist inconspicuously, "Ah, it's Julian, Kelver brought you here again..."

Her tone was a little complicated. She did everything in the organization to keep Miyano Akemi away. Even though the two sisters knew it was a luxury, Miyano Shiho still held on to the fantasy that her sister could live in the light. It was also because of this that she did not understand the way Alvin treated his brother Julian.

Alvin brought Julian to the experimental base more than once. Researchers often saw the child sitting on a chair in the corridor, shaking his legs and smiling at everyone who passed by. It was not clear how Mescal negotiated, but the organization actually tacitly allowed the child to enter and leave the laboratory. Miyano Shiho and Julian met for the first time in the laboratory. Alvin held his younger brother in his arms. The little boy was not afraid of people and blinked his big eyes at people in his brother's arms.

"This is Shiho, Julian," Alvin's voice was gentle, "She will live with us from now on."

"Hello..." Miyano Shiho had never been with such a young child before, and felt a little uncomfortable for a moment. She searched her pockets, but unfortunately Alvin's cooking skills were so good that there was no snack left from the morning, and she couldn't even take out a gift for the meeting, "Julian..."

Julian tilted his head and watched her somewhat flustered movements. He patted Alvin and motioned him to squat down a little to let him down. He walked to the girl with shaky steps and stretched out his chubby little hand with a beautifully wrapped candy on it.

This is... Miyano Shiho took the candy hesitantly. Julian saw that she accepted it, and his eyes curved into crescents. "Give it to Sister Shiho!"

His bright red eyes sparkled like a piece of fine gemstone, and his smile looked innocent and happy, just like every little angel who was brought up with care.

Memories suddenly came to mind the moment Alvin pushed open the door.

"Shiho?" Alvin was a little surprised why she was here. "Do you want to talk to me about something?"

"No," Miyano Shiho shook her head, pushing Julian back to him, ignoring the child's puzzled look, "I was just passing by."

"The laboratory is not a nursery. It's better if you don't bring him here." Miyano Shiho's face was full of indifference, as if the happy time when they formed a family life had never existed. "Kelfer."

"...I know," Alvin sighed, "Arts also said it's better this way."

Miyano Shiho walked forward on her own, and Julian's whispered accusations drifted into her ears.

"But...if I don't come here, I won't be able to see Sister Shiho anymore..."
