The Day When Fire and Brimstone Fell from Heaven - Alvin Lin Mendoza 14

This is hell.

No matter it is the vicious Black Party, the justice-seeking Red Party, or ordinary people who know nothing about it, they will have the same reaction when they see this laboratory.

The worms, whose mouthparts and esophagus were full of teeth, gathered together. Some were separated and placed in an incubation box with blue wax lights, while others were soaked in water of a strange color. The small ones were only as thick as fingers, while the large ones were as big as small dogs.

Alvin methodically moved through this Cthulhu-like environment. The expression of his assistant, who was a generation older than him, gradually changed from disdain to admiration, and finally to fear at the calm demeanor of the red-haired young man.

"Excuse me," Alvin said with a cheerful smile, "Kelver said he's tired," and the assistant was sweating coldly, "Can we start as soon as possible?"

.

"I'm back," Alvin put his backpack on the sofa, "Have you eaten?"

"I made some sandwiches and put them in the fridge," Miyano Shiho put away her notebook. When Alvin came in, he saw her lying on the dining table doing homework. "You can eat some..." Her nose twitched. "Have you taken a shower?"

Alvin shrugged and went to open the refrigerator, intending to heat up the food in the microwave. "I tried some experiments today," he explained briefly. "Have you been waiting for a long time?"

"I wasn't waiting for you," Miyano Shiho turned her head away, "I just thought it would be better to finish my homework outside."

"Yes, yes," Alvin smiled indulgently, ignoring the word "tsundere" that Artus whispered in his ear, and took advantage of the gap in the microwave to start chatting, "How was school today?"

Although Alvin's smile was a bit unpleasant, Miyano Shiho still answered honestly, "Same old, the police came and went, the teachers and classmates were all in a panic, everyone thought the murderer would not stop, but they also held on to the fluke mentality that it might not be their turn..."

"The previous victims may not have understood why they were chosen," Alvin pointed out. "Most of these murderers have their own logic that others cannot understand."

"Be careful," he warned Alvin before the sandwich blocked his mouth. "Although the murderer usually commits crimes every two weeks, it is possible that something will stimulate him to commit crimes earlier, or..."

"The time he feels satisfied is getting shorter and shorter."

Miyano Shiho swallowed her saliva. The two of them didn't think there was anything wrong with discussing the crime with a minor. "But the victims didn't seem to have any intersection at all..."

This is true. The personalities and social circles of the victims were very different. Their relatives and friends testified that they did not know each other. Their biggest common point was that they attended the same university.

But there is one place they have all been. Artus swallowed the last bite of his sandwich and watched Alvin's conciliatory smile towards Miyano Shian.

The murderer has his own criteria, and the victim has his own trajectory. The case files were not difficult for Alvin to obtain, and Artes went over every letter carefully with him.

The library is the place where they are most likely to have crossed paths. All of these students have been there, the difference lies in the frequency.

What a pity. Artes spread his hands. They all borrow books from their own majors in the book borrowing system, with no overlap at all.
