The Day When Fire and Brimstone Fell from Heaven - Alvin Lin Mendoza 17

Benjamin fell to the ground.

Alvin rushed forward, caught the lighter and threw the fire source far away.

"It's okay, Shiho," Kelver stretched out his hand to the future Shirley. His tall figure blocked the soundless body next to him. With a little effort, he pulled the child back to the world from the hell full of gasoline smell. "It's over."

The girl who escaped death could not help herself finally and threw herself into the warm embrace. The belated alarm bells rang in her ears, and she cried loudly in the arms of the frightened man.

Alvin patted her back gently, doing what every older brother would do.

Feeling unprecedented peace of mind, Miyano Shiho sobbed as she thought of the Old Testament.

She had forgotten what she had in mind when she first read the book. Many scientists are famous metaphysicians. The more they study, the more they realize how insignificant they are. In the end, they can only place their hopes on a powerful existence.

Miyano Shiho had a brief prayer, hoping to become an ordinary girl and live an ordinary life with her sister.

That little extravagant wish almost caused the flames to ignite the corner of her clothes, but it also brought Kelfer and Artes.

.

The arsonist's ending was so hastily done that it was somewhat unbelievable.

The Black Organization sent a small policeman to claim the credit, the elevator with the smell of gasoline was believed to be a trap set by the police in advance, and neither Alvin nor Miyano Shiho's names would be left in the files. This was destined to be an unpleasant nightmare known only to two people.

"Why do you know his name?" Miyano Shiho, who had already washed up, asked. Her clothes stained with chemicals had been discarded, and her new clothes had a maple leaf label on them. "Have you seen him? The arsonist?"

"That Old Testament, Artes asked me to look at the title page," Alvin had just finished talking to Mescal, looking a little tired, "It's not very conspicuous, but there is a signature," he shrugged, "I tried to read it out, and I didn't expect it to be true."

As it should be. Artes rubbed his temple, his face showing the same tiredness. He considered himself the chosen disciple and would most likely try to leave his mark on holy objects to prove his connection with the "Lord".

"Is that so?" Miyano Shiho nodded thoughtfully, not seeming to want to continue dwelling on this topic. "Are we still having a movie marathon today? Tomorrow is the weekend."

"You can if you want." Alvin took out snacks and blankets at the right time. Artes squeezed in skillfully, just on the left and right of Miyano Shiho. "What do you want to see?"

This time the little girl chose the "Lord of the Rings" series. The ending was the same as when she watched "Harry Potter". She fell into a deep sleep in the end. She grabbed the corner of Alvin's clothes. The man tucked the quilt for her with a sigh, which in return was a complaining murmur.

The phone on the desk rang, and Alvin picked it up in time to avoid waking the little girl.

It was a familiar man's voice, he said.

“You should start working.”
