The Day When Fire and Brimstone Fell from Heaven - Alvin Lin Mendoza 3
The next day, Shiho Miyano woke up to the smell of bread.
The girl, who had temporarily put aside her worries, had a rare good sleep. When she yawned and went to wash up, Alvin had already put breakfast bread on the table.
Miyano Shiho took a piece of bread and spread butter on it, "Mr. Kelver, I..."
"Shh," Alvin frowned and made a gesture to keep quiet, "Don't talk while eating. Artes and I don't like to talk about things while eating."
Miyano Shiho was speechless for a moment and could only eat breakfast obediently. Before, due to her fear of the code members, she was a silent quail when she was with Kelver. It was not until today that she mustered up the courage to talk to him, but Alvin interrupted her and she lost her temper again.
But some things must be made clear. Miyano Shiho gritted her teeth and asked immediately after Kelver swallowed the last bite of bread, "What was the standard for good performance before, that I can talk to my sister if I behave well?"
"Ah... that, Artes, do you remember what the standard is?" Alvin looked up. Miyano Shiho was still waiting anxiously, swallowing her saliva, but he muttered to himself, "What is it? Ah, a normal schedule is necessary, especially eating well is important. I agree with this, it is important to be healthy both physically and mentally. Of course, you can't relax in your studies..."
Alvin lowered his head and looked into Miyano Shiho's eyes. "As for the content of the conversation, you should know it yourself."
Miyano Shiho clenched her hands, suppressing her excitement. Alvin looked at his watch and said, "You should go to school now. Grab your bag and we'll meet in the garage."
The little girl nodded obediently and took the initiative to put the plate in the kitchen sink before going to get her school bag and reuniting with Alvin in the garage.
.
It was six years before the first year of the School of Science. Miyano Shiho was twelve years old and studying at Columbia University. The population density of Manhattan meant that part of their commuting time was spent in traffic jams, which also gave Miyano Shiho the opportunity to observe Kelver.
Perhaps it was some kind of animal intuition or the gentleness shown by Kelver that made the future Shirley try to put aside her resistance for the first time to get to know this codenamed member. She knew almost nothing about him, and the factional struggles in the organization were not something she could get involved in. Her biggest impression of Kelver was "Arts".
"Hello, Miyano Shiho," the red-haired young man gave her a cheerful smile. He half-knelt down, trying to appear harmless. "This is Artes."
"Arts?" Miyano Shiho hugged her backpack tightly to gain a sense of security. The control and intimidation of the brewery made her physically and mentally exhausted, but as a guardian, Gin still revealed a word to the brewery member who was going to take over her.
"You're a guy who likes to talk to himself," the silver-haired man sneered and lit a cigarette, "but you're good at research. I hope you can grow to that level."
The memories were fleeting. Miyano Shiho looked at the hand Alvin extended to him, "Kelver is here too," his expression became calm, and his entire temperament changed instantly, like a boy transforming into an adult. He nodded to say hello, "Hello, thank you for your guidance."
Miyano Shiho put her hands on it, and the two palms, one big and one small, formed a sharp contrast. She raised her chin and maintained her indifferent attitude.
"Please advise me."
