The Day When Fire and Brimstone Fell from Heaven - Alvin Lin Mendoza 9

"My memory is not very good," Alvin lowered his head and talked to the girl he was holding, "Arts is always reminding me. He is much more reliable than me."

The brown-haired girl looked thoughtful. "Really?" Her tone was obviously much lighter than before. "Then I want to say thank you to him, too."

You're welcome. The red-haired boy nodded at her, his answer a little unclear due to the candy in his mouth. "You're welcome," Kelver's face was still expressionless. "He said."

.

The relationship between Miyano Shiho and Kelver during this period can be said to have made rapid progress.

The three-day sister calls effectively soothed the children's mental health. In addition, Kelver had always been a pure technician during this period. The two lived together peacefully for another two weeks. Miyano Shiho could even ask for ordering with confidence. After all, Kelver's cooking skills were not to be underestimated. Her face was even rounder.

Going to school every day, eating together, occasionally watching movies and chatting, if it weren't for Kelver's secret calls with Mescal every night and disappearing from time to time for experimental projects, Miyano Shiho felt that she was living a peaceful life studying abroad.

The riots in the university gradually subsided. The FBI asked all the questions they could, but failed to find any useful clues. Normal teaching activities were still going on, and even the falling sky could not stop students from earning credits. Miyano Shiho was not very interested in the case, but her classmates' whispers always got into her ears.

"Monty Duke Jeffrey," Alvin inexplicably threw out a name after a dinner. "Isn't this the name of the student who was burned to death in your school?"

Miyano Shiho looked up from the textbook in confusion. Even a genius couldn't take a blind test. "Yes, what's wrong?" She didn't think Kelver would gossip about this. Even his imaginary friend Artes was unlikely to do so, and arson was not a good idea.

"No, it's nothing," Alvin shook his head, "Just, you have to be careful."

"Why?" Miyano Shiho was even more confused. Alvin was not the type to have paranoid delusions, so she simply closed the book and asked directly, "Is there still danger?"

"Arts told me to remind you," Alvin rubbed her head, his tone gentle, "arson is a substitute for release. Fire does not only represent revenge, it is the arsonist's inner satisfaction and an expression of strong desire."

"I don't know if Jeffrey specifically chose the target or if he was just unlucky fuel." The smell of chemicals still lingered in his nose. Artes' fingertips rested on the back of his neck, forcibly suppressing a familiar impulse. Alvin still acted like a good brother. "But I know that satisfaction is only temporary and will fade away with time."

Alvin looked at Miyano Shiho's increasingly serious expression, and said in the same tone as always, "Try to stay away from the people who were in the courtyard that day." He said gently, not warning the child he was taking care of, "You don't know if they were watching their work up close."

Miyano Shiho saw the familiar yellow cordon on campus again.

A girl was burned to death in the school building, and her roommate witnessed it all.

Miyano Shiho stood outside the crowd, with Alvin's sigh still echoing in her ears, "In order to regain excitement, he will play the game again sooner or later."
