Chapter 4 Infiltrating the Princess's Residence

When the eldest princess was mentioned, all the warmth around Shen Yunting vanished, and her tone was full of disgust.

“Mian’er, let me tell you, that princess is a real scoundrel. Your father and mother are already married and have you, and she still wants to take you back to the mansion.”

She kept more than twenty men in her princess residence, all of whom she had forcibly taken back, and several deaths had occurred as a result. It was utterly disgusting.

This incident that happened to our family is definitely partly her doing. We'll be exiled tomorrow, and she'll probably come back to cause trouble again. But with what we did today, she shouldn't have time to come.

Hehe, my darling daughter is simply a lucky star sent by God! She solved such a tricky problem so easily.

In the end, her tone was light and joyful, as if exile was not such a bitter thing.

Too.

Shen Xingmian also felt that being with her family made any place worthwhile, and she didn't intend for her family to actually travel all the way to the far north in shackles.

Let's not even talk about how harsh and cold places are not suitable for living or farming; if you actually went there, your body would be exhausted.

They're not really some heinous criminals, so why should they suffer those torments?

She planned to take everyone into the mountains when she had the chance. Anyway, she had plenty of supplies in her spatial storage. After rummaging through the homes of those parasites in the capital, it would be more than enough for their families to live comfortably.

If the country changes hands and a wise ruler comes to govern, it's not too late to return to public life.

"Since the Princess is so hateful, then Mother, you mustn't hold back later." Shen Xingmian's voice was sweet and clear, like a mountain spring babbling, which was very pleasant to hear.

Shen Yunting had waited for almost thirteen years, and finally her precious daughter spoke. She couldn't get enough of listening to her and wished her daughter could say a few more words to her.

The General's Mansion and the Princess's Mansion were both located in the most prestigious areas of the capital and were not far apart. Otherwise, Luo Qi'an, who rarely went out, would not have been targeted by the Eldest Princess.

The two soon arrived near the princess's residence. The gate was heavily guarded, but there was no one by the high wall. The wall was smooth and two meters high, so ordinary people couldn't possibly climb it.

Shen Xingmian, however, was different. She could bring her mother into the space and use it as a springboard to directly enter the inner side of the wall.

This sudden disappearance and reappearance was astonishing, even to someone as experienced as Shen Yunting.

She was slightly stunned after coming out, then quickly pulled her daughter and hid in a secluded corner.

As darkness fell, the two were not worried at all about being recognized, after all, being recognized only requires being noticed.

Shen Xingmian was still very confident that she would not be discovered.

"Daughter, how many people can your precious baby carry at most? It can carry as many as you want. I want to go and rescue your eldest uncle and Zheng'er first."

Shen Xingmian thought about the two of them for a moment, and finally shook her head regretfully: "Mother, we can only bring one at the moment."

Upon hearing this, Shen Yunting immediately abandoned that thought and focused on the matter at hand.

The Princess's residence was heavily guarded, with patrols coming in waves. Although there weren't many guards, it was believed that once a target was spotted, a shout would bring forth a large number of people to subdue the person on the spot.

Normally, no one would dare to sneak into the princess's residence. These guards are probably there to prevent the men inside from escaping.

Since we're already here, it's not in Shen Xingmian's nature not to create more chaos.

She tugged at her mother's hand, which was holding hers, and whispered, "Mother, let the muddy waters get even muddier."

Looking into her daughter's bright, sparkling eyes, Shen Yunting had a sudden inspiration and immediately nodded: "Alright, since she's trying to prevent those men from escaping, let's create some opportunities for them."

Although the mother and daughter don't look very alike, their sly smiles when they look at each other are exactly the same.

If outsiders saw them, they would definitely be able to tell at a glance that they are blood relatives.

"Daughter, hide well. I'll go and take them all down first. It'll be easier that way, and it'll also save them from the princess's wrath."

Seeing her nod, Shen Yunting dashed out in a flash.

Shen Xingmian sighed at her mother's kindness as she watched her mother swiftly and silently take down all six guards without alerting anyone else.

So beautiful, my goodness!

Before she could finish showering him with compliments, Shen Yunting had already turned back, his movements swift and decisive.

Shen Xingmian was so impressed that she wanted to applaud and cheer.

"Let's go, honey, let's hurry up and loot as many places as possible." Shen Yunting looked eager to try.

Shen Xingmian fully understood her mother's excitement at this moment. She had originally thought that the family might be embarking on a difficult and dangerous road of no return, but she never expected that the light at the end of the tunnel would come so quickly and so brightly.

Who could resist the excitement?

Neither the mother nor the daughter had ever been to the princess's residence before, so they had no idea where the storeroom was and headed straight for the most magnificent building.

The princess's residence exudes luxury and extravagance in every aspect; even the stones on the artificial hill are unique and selected from among thousands.

Shen Xingmian was very tempted by the sights and wished he could take them all, but there are priorities. When you can take gold, who would choose stones?

Using the space, the two went from room to room, taking away everything valuable and useful, practically looting everything.

Looking at the room, which now only has four walls, the mother and daughter smiled knowingly at the same time.

The eldest princess was indeed wealthy and pampered since childhood, receiving a constant stream of gifts. Not to mention the storeroom, even ordinary rooms were decorated with extraordinary opulence.

Shen Xingmian simply couldn't imagine what her frequently used room would look like; poverty truly limited her imagination.
