Calling it a prison isn't quite accurate, as the rooms weren't bad and were kept very clean. However, for those locked up inside and unable to get out, it was indeed undoubtedly a "prison."

When they left the princess's residence, the men who had been trapped there for so long had already left, and even the few who had said they "couldn't leave Her Highness the princess" had disappeared.
That's good too; at least their efforts weren't in vain.
The mother and daughter smiled at each other and headed towards the palace again, arriving in the afternoon.
