Chapter 216 Obvious changes, secret base!

The night engulfed the huge abandoned school.

In the dim campus, Qin Nuo, holding a flashlight, led Mo Ting through the bleak and cold night wind and returned to the comprehensive building.

Without stopping, he went straight to the top floor. In some corners, the scattered puppets and human models were still piled up intact.

Apart from the first night they attacked, they became completely discarded items, piled up there, covered with dust and cobwebs.

"That mysterious principal didn't use the cursed paper figurine against me again. Was he hindered by something? Or is he playing it safe and wanting to play with me slowly? Or is he planning some big move?"

Qin Nuo walked away, looking away and thinking.

Mo Ting also looked over. She seemed to see something else in those shabby and abandoned puppets. Her eyes were hazy as she whispered, "They're so pitiful."

Back in the stage room, the spotlights on the huge stage were already on.

In addition, several lights suddenly turned on, making the stage extremely bright.

Mo Ting looked around and asked, "Where are those brothers and sisters?"

"It will be here soon." Qin Nuo found a seat and sat down.

There is a problem now. After the memories of those little ghosts are refreshed every day, they don’t remember what they said yesterday, and things seem to become much more complicated.

Some noises were heard and a chill filled the air on the stage. Ah Tu and Ah Gai came out first. They were the smallest and the most mischievous, carrying props for the performance in their hands. Following behind them came Tang Rou and Da Fu.

"The order has changed. Ah Tu didn't come out last." Qin Nuo raised his eyebrows and noticed this, feeling suspicious.

"We need to make the most of today's rehearsal. We have other things to do."

Tang Rou urged, and also asked Dafu to help set up the stage props and their respective scripts.

"You guys are here. We've been waiting here for a while."

Mo Ting saw them, floated onto the stage, and said happily.

Tang Rou glanced at Tang Rou, then at Qin Nuo. There was no surprise or confusion on her face. Her voice softened a little: "We will finish the rehearsal as soon as possible today. After all, we promised you that we would help you recover your memory."

"The memory has not been refreshed?"

Qin Nuo was a little surprised. There were many changes tonight compared to the past.

Did the mysterious principal do it on purpose, or was he aided by the game mechanics in his main investigation?

The script slapped Qin Nuo on the head. Tang Rou came in front of him, hands on her waist, still with the demeanor of a big sister, and said unhappily, "You kid, all you do all day is slack off. Can you lend a hand?"

Qin Nuo held his head and said, "It's my fault. I'll help you now."

When they got on stage, Ah Gai stuffed a script into Qin Nuo's hands: "This is your line for today's scene."

When Qin Nuo saw Ah Gai, he thought of the scene of his grandfather melting, and his eyes involuntarily lingered on his face for a while longer.

"Is there eye boogers on my face?" Ah Gai asked, scratching his head.

"No."

Qin Nuo took the script, rolled it up, and tucked it into the waistband of his pants. He walked over to help Ah Gai arrange the props and asked casually, "Ah Gai, how long has it been since you last went back to your grandfather's place?"

When he heard the word "grandfather", Ah Gai curled his lips with displeasure on his face: "I want to go back, but my grandfather may not agree. He has a weird temper. If he hears that I'm still in the performance guild, he will definitely break my legs!"

"That's it. It's better not to go back. Let him stay at home and sulk like an old man!"

Qin Nuo blinked. From a few words, it could be heard that Ah Gai also wanted to go back. He also missed his grandfather who was alone at home. However, he was very stubborn and would rather go into a cold war than go back.

But he didn't know that this thought would mean that he would never see his grandfather again in this life.

Qin Nuo remained silent and didn't ask any more questions. Ah Gai asked instead, "How do you know about my family?"

"I saw your grandfather, and he seemed to know that I was your classmate."

He just said it casually, and because he was simple-minded, he believed it.

The props were quickly arranged and everyone was given their own script. Qin Nuo took a look at his part and saw that it was still the same character and plot with distorted values, horror and outrageousness.

Qin Nuo was used to it.

"Time is a bit tight today, so let's just take the script and rehearse today." Tang Rou said, clapping her hands.

"Yanan didn't come today either?" Qin Nuo asked. He was Qin Feng now, so it shouldn't be strange to ask this question.

No one responded, only Tang Rou said, "Just treat him as dead."

Rehearsals began soon. After the first two scenes, Qin Nuo had gained a better grasp of the scripts.

Qin Feng's status in the guild was obviously not high, and the character he was given had a low presence and only a few lines.

Because Ah Tu replaced Ya Nan, he, Tang Rou and Da Fu were the core of the sketch. As for Ah Gai, he was even more of a supporting role than him.

The skit ended quickly after a simple rehearsal. Tang Rou called out "cut" and her face didn't look very satisfied. However, because she had other things to do, she didn't ask for another rehearsal.

Below the stage, Mo Ting watched as everyone finished rehearsing, her face showing a look of wanting to say something but hesitating.

"Mo Ting, what do you think?" Tang Rou asked after seeing her expression.

Mo Ting hesitated and said, "It feels weird. Don't you think the plot is scary?"

Tang Rou was a little puzzled: "No, isn't it normal? We've been acting for so long, and none of this feels scary."

She turned her head and looked at Qin Nuo and others: "What do you think?"

Qin Nuo thought that someone who understood had finally arrived, but his expression remained natural. He shrugged and said, "The skit was touching and heartwarming. I firmly believe that I will win an award when I go on stage at the gala!"

Mo Ting opened her mouth and looked at the kitchen knife in Tang Rou's hand. Although it was a prop, it was dripping with blood and had a strong smell of blood, so she closed her mouth.

"Yes, after all, we have worked hard for so long." Tang Rou liked this sentence very much and smiled.

Qin Nuo looked at the time and said, "It's getting late. Isn't it time to deal with Mo Ting's problem?"

Tang Rou asked everyone to pack up, then turned to Mo Ting and said, "Let's go. Speaking of which, we haven't been back to that place in a while."

Ah Gai and Ah Tu heard this on stage and cheered, "We're finally done with rehearsals! We're so exhausted!"

"Come to think of it, that place was considered our secret base, I wonder what it's become?"

Qin Nuo was confused, but he put his hands in his pockets and said with emotion: "Yeah, I miss that place a lot."

After everyone packed up the stage props, they left the dance studio. When they went out, Qin Nuo glanced at the clock on the wall as usual. It was exactly two o'clock in the morning.

After pondering for a while, he closed the door of the dance studio.

As the door closed, all the lights in the room went out in an instant with a snap!
