"You... aren't you dead?" Xiao Liu looked at A Tu in astonishment.
"Just a little paper figure who died for me."
"Those are all little toys I made beautifully."
Ah Tu took out a paper man with his right hand, rubbed it lightly with two fingers, and the paper man turned into ashes, and the shrill scream stopped abruptly.
"In your eyes, these souls are toys, but in reality, they are all living beings, people you've come into contact with, your friends, your classmates..."
Qin Nuo was halfway through his words when Ah Tu suddenly interrupted him: "You are wrong. I have no friends, whether in class or in the acting department. I am like a stone on the roadside, without any sense of existence."
"You think I'll feel any burden for turning them into this? Humanity condemns me? Don't be naive. I enjoy this feeling right now. This is my paradise."
"Those who insulted, ridiculed, and thought they were superior are now just toys in my hands."
"I can give them the little freedom they crave, or I can just pinch them with two fingers and turn them into ashes."
As he spoke, Ah Tu took out another paper figure. The paper figure struggled frantically under his fingertips, but with a light pinch, the paper figure shattered and was swallowed by sparks. The soul that had been imprisoned for who knows how long ended up being reduced to ashes just because he wanted to set an example.
Li Qianqian frowned and stared at A Tu coldly.
Yanan, who no longer looked like a human, was covered in blood mist and looked at Ah Tu with bloodshot eyes: "You damn bastard, I really should kill you..."
Ah Tu looked at Yanan and said with a smile, "I haven't heard your voice in a long time, Yanan. How did you become like this when you were so full of vigor and vitality back then?"
"In terms of acting, you're not as good as me, and in terms of scripts, you're even worse than me. Yet, you're accepted by that woman Tang Rou. Why?"
"Just because I'm an orphan, I'm destined to be rejected and despised as a bastard."
"They clearly saw my abilities and talents, yet they chose to ignore them, mocking me behind my back and choosing your quirks that didn't fit in."
"Yanan, you have no right to call me a bastard. How about I help you recall some things?"
"Do you remember the day when we wrote the second scene's script? You said my talent shouldn't be buried. You asked me to write the script for the second scene and submit it to Tang Rou. You said I should have a place in the guild."
"My thoughts were indeed quite innocent back then. After I wrote it, I couldn't wait to give it to you. That was until I saw you later submitting a script with almost identical content to the guild under your own name."
"You enjoyed the praise from others, while I could only stare blankly from afar. I angrily wanted to take back my achievements, but in their eyes, I looked like a madman and was thrown out of the stage room door."
"I'm just an insignificant stone on the roadside, but you shouldn't have deliberately trampled on me, Yanan. You deserve what you've got today."
A Tu stared straight at Yanan, his clear eyes, the innocence in them had long been swallowed up by reality.
"Oh, there's something interesting here."
"The only person who has ever praised my work is your sister."
"It's ridiculous, isn't it? They are clearly siblings, but they see the world in completely different ways."
"I threw the script on the ground and stomped on it. Your sister picked it up, read it carefully, and asked me why I did that when it was such a good script. She also said that her brother was in the acting department and we might be friends."
"But she doesn't know that it was her dear brother who made my script so dirty!"
Ah Tu looked at Li Qianqian, but his eyes did not soften.
"So, your sister is very lucky. I didn't turn her into a toy. I just took away her brother's memory. A person like this, without such a dirty and ugly brother in her life, is perfect, right?"
Yanan's exposed eye was soaked with blood, which flowed out from the corner of his eye: "I admit that I am a sinner."
"You can do whatever you want, just let my sister go."
Ah Tu raised his hand, and countless paper figures flew up. Tang Rou, Da Fu, and Ah Gai fell into his palm. Three paper figures, three distorted faces.
They were turning in Qin Nuo's palm, and their life and death depended on A Tu's thoughts.
The memory in Ah Tu's mind returned to that night.
Because of the script, the eccentric Yanan had a conflict with the members of the guild again. Although he was smart, the script of the third scene was so annoying that he had a splitting headache.
He thought of A Tu, the lonely and almost invisible wooden man, and found him again, trying to trick him into writing the script for the third scene. With sweet talk, the other party believed him again.
This was something Yanan hadn't expected. Ah Tu said he would give him the script that night. That night, when he arrived at the appointed location, he couldn't wait to get the script, eager to establish his position in the guild. However, in the darkness, he was greeted by no warm script, only a cold hammer...
Pushing Yanan's body, Ah Tu's eyes showed no fear, nor any regret. He cut a paper man with scissors and stuffed it into the mouth of the corpse...
Yanan, who disappeared for a night, returned to the guild. His personality became easy-going and he continued to write scripts for everyone. But no one knew that Yanan in front of them was just a puppet.
Yanan's body was kept by A Tu. When he controlled the entire guild with paper figures, he finally stepped onto the stage of the Children's Day party that he had dreamed of.
He carried Ya'nan's body, and the donated blood dripped onto the brightly lit stage. The students thought it was realistic props and makeup. The bloody scene caused quite a commotion. Ah Tu ignored it and performed on the stage with all his heart. Parents and teachers stood up to insult and condemn him, but to Ah Tu's ears, it became applause and cheers.
