In the thick white fog, a black shadow stretched out his hand to stop Qin Nuo.
Qin Nuo put down the armrest, looked at the black shadow, and said with a smile: "Uncle Zhang, it's so early today, are you going to Liu Street?"
Uncle Zhang is Aunt Xuan's husband. He is rather old-fashioned and doesn't like jokes. Only Aunt Xuan can control him. He used to do odd jobs for Li Sha's father, and later joined a construction team, doing all physical work. With five children in the family, the pressure is naturally great. He gets up early and goes to bed late, and is rarely seen by people.
Today, Uncle Zhang, as usual, was carrying his eating utensils and a worn toolbox covered in mud.
The difference is that Uncle Zhang's face looks a little more dull than usual.
He tilted his head slightly, looked at Qin Nuo coldly, and said, "Liu Jie, I'm in a hurry and can't exceed the time limit."
"Be here before eight."
Qin Nuo nodded slightly, but felt strange in his heart. Uncle Zhang's family was in such financial difficulty, but he had to take a rickshaw. This didn't make sense no matter how you looked at it.
Uncle Zhang got on the rickshaw, and Qin Nuo put a towel on his shoulders. Although he had taken good medicine, his body was not as good as it was yesterday. After just a short distance, Qin Nuo felt that breathing became difficult and his limbs were sore.
Uncle Zhang sat in the car, staring at Qin Nuo. Especially when he noticed that the car had slowed down, a ferocious look appeared on his old-fashioned face.
"You're slow. If you exceed the time limit, the consequences will be serious for me and for you."
There was an obvious threat in these words.
Qin Nuo's breathing became more and more fluctuating, and after his hands and feet became sore, he felt weak.
Fortunately, at this moment, tiny black meridians appeared on his right hand and spread across his skin. A surge of abundant strength surged up, and his slowed-down pace sped up again.
"You still have to look at me." The blood-eyed ghost said indifferently.
Qin Nuo said helplessly: "It's Li Sha's health that's not good, not me."
In the rickshaw, Uncle Zhang saw the black meridians wriggling on Qin Nuo's body, his brows furrowed, and his expression returned to its cold state.
"The man named Zhang in the car has ill intentions towards you. He looked like he wanted to eat you a few times just now." The blood-eyed ghost reminded.
Qin Nuo blinked and took the opportunity to chat with Uncle Zhang: "Uncle Zhang, I saw Aunt Xuan coughing badly yesterday. Did she catch a cold? How is she feeling today?"
Uncle Zhang replied, "What happens to that woman is none of my business. If she dies of coughing one day, it will be what she deserves."
"Did she think that time would allow me to forget what happened? No matter how I try to make amends, it can't be salvaged. I won't kill her myself, but I will curse her to death!"
His voice was trembling, his tone was vicious, and full of hatred.
Qin Nuo had a strange expression.
I was just saying a simple friendly greeting, but why did this guy act like he had been stepped on and got furious?
In Li Sha's memory, this old couple was clearly very loving and rarely quarreled. But why did it sound different when he heard it from their own mouths?
"Um, I can tell that Uncle Zhang is very concerned about Aunt Xuan's health."
"Then let's change the subject. How is Uncle Zhang doing lately?"
Facing Qin Nuo's constant chatter, Uncle Zhang's face was gloomy: "You talk too much nonsense, just drive your car properly."
Qin Nuo shut up when he thought about the need to satisfy the customer.
The streets were much quieter than yesterday. Many shops were open for business, but there were few people around.
The once bustling and prosperous Quande Town completely changed its style overnight.
The most important thing is that the diffuse fog shows no sign of dissipating, and under its cover, there is no trace of morning light.
Perhaps as time went by, Brother Zhang in the car began to become anxious and irritable.
A pair of hands, grasping something, and making strange noises, provoked Qin Nuo's body and mind.
"You have the last two minutes." Brother Zhang spoke, his voice almost squeezed out from between his teeth, revealing a cold and ferocious tone.
"Uncle Zhang, it's time out. You can say whatever you want, but the time is not up yet, so there is no need to rush." Qin Nuo said, speeding up his pace. With the blessing of the Blood Eye Ghost's ghost power, his speed continued to increase, and the cold wind whistled in his ears.
Qin Nuo's words seemed to make Uncle Zhang even more unhappy.
Even without looking back, he could feel the malice coming from behind him.
Qin Nuo suddenly remembered that the copy mission mentioned that in addition to sending the guests to their destination, they also needed to receive satisfactory evaluations.
Given Uncle Zhang's current state, would he smile and give himself a satisfactory review?
A minute later, Qin Nuo turned a corner and arrived at Liu Street. This area was a construction site, the air was very humid, and the soil under his feet was sticky.
Qin Nuo put down the armrest, turned around and said to Uncle Zhang on the rickshaw, "Is it not overtime?"
Uncle Zhang got out of the car and said grimly, "You're lucky. You were just a few seconds away."
He picked up the toolbox, turned around, and was about to leave when Qin Nuo suddenly called him: "Uncle Zhang, did you forget something?"
Uncle Zhang stopped and put one hand into his clothes.
Qin Nuo suddenly smiled again and said, "No need, Uncle Zhang, I was just joking with you. We're neighbors, and Aunt Xuan often helps me, so I won't accept the money."
He said this, naturally, for the sake of that satisfactory evaluation.
Otherwise, with this attitude, Qin Nuo would have the urge to rush up and slap him twice.
But a coin still bounced on Qin Nuo's face, and Uncle Zhang snorted coldly: "What does it have to do with me if that woman takes care of you?"
"I'm not so poor that I can't afford this little money!"
After saying that, he turned and left.
Qin Nuo picked up the coin on the ground, looked at Uncle Zhang's back, and narrowed his eyes slightly.
