I slept until almost noon.
There was a knock on the door and his mother's voice came from outside. Qin Nuo woke up slowly and felt dizzy when he sat up.
There was a slight pain in his chest and a numbness all over his body. Qin Nuo had gotten used to it.
However, when he looked at his hands, his expression changed slightly.
Thick wrinkles appeared on his palms, and his nails turned black. When he looked in the mirror, Li Sha's face looked a little scary, with bloodshot eyes.
A disgusting blood spot grew on the side of his face.
"What are these things... Good medicine seems to be unable to contain them."
Qin Nuo touched it with his fingers, but there was no pain, and no feeling at all, just like a piece of dead skin.
Looking at himself, Qin Nuo's thoughts became confused again, and an inexplicable sense of impatience grew in his heart.
The longer Qin Nuo stared at himself in the mirror, the more he felt like he was staring at a ghost...
Suppressing his impatience, Qin Nuo got out of bed, straightened his clothes, and went to open the door.
The mother, leaning on a cane, stood at the doorway, her eyes half open as she said, "It's almost twelve o'clock. Your father called you to get up. He personally cooked some food. He told you to go wash up and eat while it's hot."
Qin Nuo glanced behind him. His father was no longer at the dining table. Instead, the table was filled with home-cooked dishes, which were steaming hot and emitting wisps of white smoke.
He blinked, said "OK", and walked out of the house.
After washing up, when I came back, my mother and father were already sitting at the dining table.
My father sat there with a dull expression, his body still wet, soaking that piece of cloth.
Qin Nuo walked over, sat down, and glanced at his father. His face was still swollen and pale.
The movement of picking up the food was very stiff, and the water drops from the sleeves soaked into the food, which made Qin Nuo feel uncomfortable.
The mother also picked up the chopsticks and said, "Eat it, your father made this for you."
"Our family of three can finally be reunited and have a meal together."
As she said this, her mother smiled.
I feel very relieved, but also sad.
Qin Nuo laughed dryly, picked up the chopsticks, and looked at the dishes that had all been soaked in well water. His chopsticks stopped in the air, and for a moment, he didn't know which dish to pick up.
In the end, Qin Nuo chose to eat the rice in the bowl.
We spent the whole meal talking.
But they were all conversations between Qin Nuo and his mother.
Li Sha's father didn't say a word from beginning to end. He picked up the food and put it into his mouth stiffly, like a ruthless eating machine.
As for the words he said, they all came from his mother's mouth.
After lunch, Qin Nuo left the table immediately. The dinner seemed weird and awkward, which made him feel really uncomfortable.
He left the house on the pretext of going out to work, pulled his rickshaw, and left the courtyard.
The mother put down her chopsticks, looked at Qin Nuo who was leaving, and said quietly: "Dad, our son has really grown up."
Li Sha's father seemed not to hear and continued to eat the food in the bowl desperately.
…
"I wonder what happened to that guy Shi Yu?" Qin Nuoxing thought to himself as he walked in the narrow alley.
He originally wanted to go to the Li family's house to take a look, but as soon as he walked out of the alley, the game announcement sounded in his mind.
"Ding, congratulations to the player for triggering the dungeon mission!"
"Please arrive at the intersection of Sunshine Road before 2:00 AM, pick up a guest with a suitcase, take them to their destination, and complete their request!"
The game announcement made Qin Nuo's eyes light up. In this situation, he would naturally not miss any copy mission.
After looking at the count, Qin Nuo changed direction and ran to the other side. In the blink of an eye, he disappeared in the thick white fog.
Shuttled through the white fog, according to his memory, Qin Nuo soon saw a bent road sign at a muddy intersection with the words "Sunshine Road" written on it.
When I came over, I suddenly saw a figure standing there.
He was wrapped up tightly in a long windbreaker, a tall black hat, and carrying a shiny black leather suitcase.
Under the tall hat was the face of a middle-aged man with a goatee. Qin Nuo pulled a rickshaw in front of him, habitually draped a towel over his shoulders, and smiled: "Sir, do you want a ride?"
The middle-aged man looked at Qin Nuo and asked expressionlessly, "How did you know I was going to take a car?"
"Who standing by the road isn't riding in a car?"
"Where do you want to go, sir?" Qin Nuo put down the armrest and asked enthusiastically.
The middle-aged man paused and said slowly, "School."
"School? The one on Beixing Road?" Qin Nuo asked.
"There is only one school in Quande Town."
While the middle-aged man was speaking, he had already gotten into the car carrying a black leather suitcase.
Qin Nuo glanced at the black suitcase, and without saying anything, he grabbed the handrail and pulled the rickshaw away quickly.
This route is basically muddy roads, and many rickshaws are shaking, but middle-aged people don't care.
He kept his eyes on Qin Nuo, as if he was sizing up something to prevent bad reviews. Along the way, Qin Nuo tried to chat with the guests on various topics, but all he got were indifferent and perfunctory responses.
"Are you short of money?" the middle-aged man suddenly asked.
Putting himself in Li Sha's shoes, Qin Nuo replied, "I have a blind old mother at home, and a father who has become a vegetable after jumping into a well. Our conditions are very difficult."
“Otherwise I wouldn’t do this.”
These words were accompanied by two sighs.
It seems that the sadness and sadness in it can no longer be described in words.
