After listening to several songs, she touched her throat and began to really admire Daolang.
"The pitch of 'A Wolf in Sheep's Clothing' is much higher than other songs, so it's actually very difficult to sing, but he sings it very steadily," Jiang Xinhai said. "I was afraid he would stumble, but he always managed to sing it very steadily."
"Closed singing," Chen Ya said, "This is a very typical closed singing technique. I think I taught you that."
"Um."
Jiang Xinhai looked at Daolang on the stage and said, "He actually has great singing skills."
"Yes, he's a natural talent, self-taught," Chen Ya said, "That's why I fell in love with him at first sight."
As the atmosphere gradually became more lively, the fans at the scene all stood up, and Jiang Xinhai also pulled Chen Ya to stand up.
The whole audience sang along several times, and Jiang Xinhai also sang along haltingly, holding Chen Ya's hand to have fun together.
After the last song "The First Snow of 2012" ended, Jiang Xinhai actually felt a little unsatisfied.
"From today on," she turned to Chen Ya and said, "I am also a fan of Daolang."
Chen Ya curled his lips: "Then you become a farmer."
"Bah. Don't try to imitate Yingzi's two strokes. She knows nothing."
The harmony gradually faded away, and Daolang took the microphone and spoke on the stage.
"Dear fans," he said, "I had a lot of fun singing in this concert. I don't know if you're all satisfied, but in my heart, it was a success. So, are you all satisfied?"
He pointed the microphone at the stage, and there was a thunderous roar of "satisfaction" from the audience.
Daolang smiled and said, "I'm happy if you're satisfied. Very good, very good."
He repeated "very good" several times, then wiped his face and said slowly:
"This is my first time to hold a concert. It is very memorable and an unforgettable experience for me. I also feel that as a singer, this life is worth it."
"I've said it before, I've always believed that only when I'm here can I be considered a real singer, so my feeling now is that it's worth it."
"And then, thank you all so much for your likes, I have an announcement to make."
He glanced at the audience below the stage, and the venue with tens of thousands of people suddenly became quiet.
"I want to announce that this will be my last concert," Daolang said. "After today, I will bid farewell to the music industry."
He shrugged and said casually, "Actually, I'm afraid of facing the camera, and I'm not cut out to be a star. I think it's best for me to quit the entertainment industry. I still prefer the me of the past, writing songs by myself under a single lamp."
The whole audience was in an uproar.
Jiang Xinhai quickly turned around to look at Chen Ya. She found that Chen Ya's expression was hidden under the flickering stage lights. He was motionless and seemed to have withdrawn from the scene and was quickly fading away.
"Thank you everyone." Daolang said finally.
A few tears fell on the stage and then quickly disappeared without a trace.
Jiang Xinhai grabbed Chen Ya's hand.
"Chen Ya, wake up." Jiang Xinhai said, "Don't do this, I... I'm scared."
As if he was coming out of the water to take a breath, Chen Ya finally moved and took a deep breath.
Jiang Xinhai then realized that his eyes had turned red.
"Xinhai, I've changed my mind," he said. "Your version of 'Meeting' can't just have 10 songs."
"Hmm?...Okay, I'll listen to you." Jiang Xinhai said.
"Add more songs, and two more that I have as my treasure chest," Chen Ya said, "I wanted to hold back a few and let you ascend the throne slowly."
"One album, just one album," he turned to look at Jiang Xinhai and said, "I want you to become a queen right away. Take that Yingzi's title away from me! Crush all her pride!"
