Chapter 163 First Encounter

(Audience cheers and whistles)

(After a short silence) jx: "Oh, are you talking about one person or several people?"

Host: "Of course there is only one Taylor Swift in the world!"

"So, what does the one and only Ms. Taylor Swift have to say?"

"This is the message from Ms. Taylor Swift from Pennsylvania. She said she was sure to win this year's Nashville Musician's Best Songwriter Award, but now she feels a bit overwhelmed after you brought a few bands to the US to challenge her. Does Mr. JX have any good suggestions?"

jx: "I suggest just giving up."

(Audience laughs)

jx (trying to drown out the audience's laughter): "Because, because this year's competitors are too strong, there's no way she can win."

Host: “Are you really sure?”

jx: "I'm absolutely sure. I suggest she prepare for next year."

Host: "Okay, let's hear what Ms. Swift has to say."

jx: "Wait... are you guys going to call her... wait a minute..."

Host: "No, no, it's not a phone call. We invited her directly to the radio station. So, let us invite Taylor Swift!"

(Audience screams, thunderous applause, whistles)

Taylor Swift: "Hi JX, nice to meet you, I've heard your name for a long time."

jx: "Hello."

Host: "Mr. JX, is it my illusion? Why do you suddenly become less talkative?"

jx (whispering): "She's even prettier than on TV!"

Taylor Swift's eyes twinkle.

She is a very emotional person, and thinking about what happened at that time really makes her emotional.

That was the first time she met JX in the studio of that radio show.

That was two months after JX arrived in the United States. It was also the day after she received a quintuple platinum record sales certification.

She was deeply impressed.

It was a regular radio talk show, and in the half-hour broadcast there wasn't much serious talk, relying entirely on the topics of two celebrities, JX and Taylor, to keep the show going.

But her message at the time was serious: that year, she really had a good chance of winning the Nashville Songwriter of the Year Award.

If she wins that award, she will complete the three major awards grand slam and become the fastest female artist in history to achieve this achievement.

Unfortunately, a man appeared that year and called himself jx.

Before that meeting, Taylor had thought many times about what kind of person JX was.

Because before this, she had already heard of jx's name.

Just two months after arriving in the United States, the concerts of several bands led by JX, including The Who, Led Zeppelin, and the Rolling Stones, were very successful.

It was an unprecedented event, with almost every show sold out.

He was so successful that even the American music scene started to get scared.

Because as their concerts became popular, these bands' records also started to sell out.

From being on the list individually, to being on the list across the board, and then to dominating the top of the entire list in a massacre-like manner.

Native American music was like a chicken and a dog, and was defeated by their invasion.

Country, pop, rap... originally these circles dissed each other, but facing the aggressive enemy jx, everyone shared a common hatred for the first time.

But this short-lived unity in the American music scene was of no avail. Even though they tried their best to mock them on social media, they still couldn't stop the American audiences from being fascinated by these rock bands from Europe.

Musicians hate, and their hatred is mixed with fear.

Taylor was not afraid. She was always as curious as a cat and was curious about all new things.

I heard that this person is a foreigner from China, which is also a matter of curiosity.

When Taylor put the record player's headphones on her head and JX-style songs flowed into her ears, an impulse and excitement passed through her back like an electric current, quickly activating all her brain cells.

She hadn't felt this electric feeling since she first heard Bob Allen's music at the age of fourteen.

Wonderful.

This was Taylor's first feeling.

She began to look for all the music signed by jx, and the more she looked, the more she was stunned.

jx's style is varied and his songs are full of tension.

His creations are like dancing on the moon.

In the United States, which is about to become stagnant, with all kinds of vulgar rap, big gold chains, gangsters, dirty jokes, swear words, diss, ganja and other lyrics flooding the air to the point of being boring, these songs by JX are like a heavy artillery, blasting into everyone's hearts.

It was as if people realized for the first time that music could be so psychedelic without ganja in the lyrics;

It turns out that even without diss in the lyrics, it can still be so ironic;

It turns out that even without talking about gangs, songs can be so powerful and heart-stirring.

Taylor was hooked on the feeling.

She quickly became jx's little fan girl.

Although she kept it secret and secretly swore that she would never let anyone know about it.

She wants to take the fact that she is a fan of jx to the grave.

Because jx is still my rival in the competition for Songwriter of the Year award.

So when she learned that she could meet JX on the radio show, she immediately agreed.

It wasn't until they met that she realized he was completely different from everything she had imagined.

He was even more... dazzling than she had imagined.
