Ending Remarks: The Little Prince Uproots the Baobab Tree

This chapter has been sitting in the drafts for a while now, but it only had a title for a long time.

As I get older, I have to say goodbye more and more often. And I'm not good at saying goodbye.

I am always the one who sneaks away from every class reunion; the last time I resigned, we didn’t even have a proper dinner; my mother passed away, and I still haven’t visited her grave to say goodbye in the afterlife.

So I really don’t know how to finish a book.

Before I wrote the last chapter, many readers said they wanted to read on, but I felt like I couldn't just end it when everyone was bored, right?

My requirement for myself is that every chapter should be interesting. Although I can't always do it, I would be very sad if no one wants to continue reading after I finish writing a chapter.

So, even if it’s the last chapter, I hope you still want to continue reading this book.

This is my clumsy but most simple way of saying goodbye.

I will always remember the moment when I typed the first word of this book a year and a half ago.

To be honest, I didn't expect that I could write such a long book at that time. 1.85 million words, this is the first time in my life that I have written such a long book.

The longest book I've ever written was "Becoming a Reiwa Tea Master in Tokyo," which was 800,000 words long. This book has only a fraction of the word count.

That book is also the reason why I wrote this book.

"Reiwa Tea Master" is my first long-running novel. At that time, I just wanted to write a story that I liked.

I wrote that book with great care, striving for perfection in every chapter and meticulous attention to detail. Writing about everyday life is inherently demanding, both in terms of creativity and brainpower. The interactions within ordinary, unremarkable lives are the most challenging to capture. Yet, the books I wrote are always enjoyable and satisfying to read. I feel immense joy and delight after finishing each chapter, and I look forward to readers' reactions.

I love writing. For me, writing is a bit like falling in love with my readers.

Sometimes there would be a flash of inspiration, sometimes a show of literary talent, but before all of these, I would also construct an extremely ingenious plan to attract (seduce) the reader.

But I won't tell you any of this. All you can see is this story I wrote. My heart is hidden in it.

This is also the reason why I failed in writing "Reiwa Tea Master".

The way I wrote that book was too simple and lacked skill. I put a lot of emotion into it, but I didn't get the corresponding results.

I envy those amateur writers. They only know how to flirt, so how come they get such good grades? The key is, it's not like I can't flirt. Isn't it true that I'm much better at flirting than others?

So I turned evil. And then this book came into being.

The origin of this book was also my idea of "no need to be so serious", including the names of the heroines. It only took me 1 minute to come up with 10 names.

For example, the name Liu Ruyan was just a random choice. I never expected that a year and a half later, it would become ubiquitous, with ten thousand amateur novels using it as the name of a supporting role in a green tea drama. It's a mixed bag.

The plots I wrote initially were also based on this thought: "There's no need to take it so seriously." Isn't novice writing simply about showing off and making fun of others? Who can't do that? I'll do it.

It wasn't until I had written 100,000 words that I began to like this story and the readers who liked it. Then I started writing seriously.

Then I realized that I had a heart full of baobabs.

The baobab tree is a huge tree, which would be a huge disaster for the planet of "The Little Prince". It would burst the small planet.

Similarly, for a limited mind, too much pursuit will lead to a loss of creativity. I think that creation still needs something pure.

The original intention is important to everyone.

Let me tell you about my next plans.

First of all, I have to fulfill the promise I made two years ago and finish "Reiwa Tea Master" first.

Now I am a little too obsessed with novel-writing techniques, market sense, audience research and other "technical" things.

Writing novels is a form of creation that requires emotion.

Only focusing on skills and not feelings is like looking for a wife and researching family background, complementary advantages, post-marital rights and interests, property division, etc. in detail, but not talking about feelings. Even if you get married, you will not be happy.

Besides, a real man should keep his word. If I say I will finish it, I will definitely finish it.

So, for my next book, I have to finish "The Tea Saint" first, and then think carefully about what story I really want to write.

For my next book, I won’t write it as crudely as “The Group of Beauty”, nor will I write it as overly self-indulgently as “The Reiwa Tea Master”.

I'll write a story that I really enjoy, and hopefully the readers will enjoy it too.

I think the inspiration for a new book should not come too soon or too late.

Next, I recommend a few books by other authors:

"Red Heart Patrolling the Sky." I knew the author of "How Much Love Is There" on Zhihu before I started writing books on Qidian. He's always been a young man in white, wielding a sword—in other words, someone with a straightforward personality. This book is no different. If it clicks, I'll love it. If it doesn't, I'll miss it. I've recommended it to readers many times, and many of them have thanked me after they've gotten into it. So I recommend it again.

"The Designer of World Disasters." This is a work by a new author who I think has great potential and a promising future. I taught her the plot, so if you don't like it, blame me, not the author.

"Don't Do Netherworld Things in the Human World!" This is a very human book, focusing on sunshine, positivity, inspiration, and health. Anyone who reads it will be baptized.

"You Said You'd Seal the Evil Spirit, Why Did You Seal Me Instead?" This is also a book about a person possessed by a mental illness (why do I say that?), and the author is a very cute girl, very sweet and flirtatious.

"Everyone is a demon, why are you so holy?" I think I recommended this once before, but I'll do it again. This book has over 1.5 million words and is a real pleasure to read.

The Age of Evil Ghosts. I've rarely read a new book with such enthusiasm. It's truly healed my writing. You'll understand what I mean when you read it.

"I'm Practicing in America." A cool, American-themed novel that's quite good and just launched.

"Absurd Deduction Game". This is a long-running masterpiece, with over three million words. The writing is elegant and the story has character.

My Infinite Wish List. I previously recommended the same author's book, "Reincarnation, You've Lost Your Morality." This is the author's new book, and it's also very interesting. Also, "interesting" is my highest praise for online literature.

"I studied the weird thoroughly before the supernatural resurrected." An excellent author who sticks to the niche category of suspense, a man who was delayed by suspense. The protagonist of this book is also very unique, and I recommend reading it.

Finally, in the new year, I wish you all the best and everything goes well!
