Yan Yiting nodded repeatedly, and Chen Ya continued:
"The superconductivity phenomenon is that under extremely low temperature conditions, the resistance in the conductor suddenly becomes zero.
"But the transmission line is so long that we can't probably add a refrigerator along the entire length. But think about it, what if superconductivity could be achieved at room temperature? What would happen?"
Yan Yiting said blankly, "The electricity price... is going to drop?"
"That's certainly one aspect, but the significance goes far beyond that," Chen Ya said. "If we can achieve room-temperature superconductivity, it means I can build a power station somewhere and transmit electricity to anywhere on Earth without any loss of power."
Yan Yiting thought blankly for a while, then said, "It seems... quite shocking."
"On a smaller scale, it will greatly improve the domestic environment, transportation, and regional imbalances. On a larger scale, it will have an impact on the international situation and fundamentally change the international energy landscape."
Yan Yiting didn't think so much. She just thought that the electricity prices were unified everywhere on the earth, and there shouldn't be any public intellectuals bragging about any place having free electricity.
After a long moment of distraction, Yan Yiting came back to her senses and looked back at Lu Aiai: "I never thought that what Aiai did would have such great significance!"
Lu Aiai, however, remained calm. She didn't ascribe any grand significance to her work; for her, research was simply research, and that was its own meaning.
Yan Yiting asked Chen Ya again: "Wait, you haven't told me what this has to do with your company?"
Chen Ya smiled and said, "I mainly make equipment. Superconducting materials are very important for the development of quantum computers."
Yan Yiting nodded. In truth, she didn't understand, but she just needed an answer.
Just like many other women, if you ask them, "If your mother and I fell into the water, who would you save first?" they just want an answer.
She leaned close to Chen Ya's ear and said, "If you want to borrow her lab, you have to talk to her in person. Why do you always ask me to pass on messages?"
Chen Ya smiled bitterly.
He actually wanted to talk to Lu Aiai directly.
But someone said before that he didn't want to communicate with him.
"I need her permission before speaking to her directly."
"I agree." Lu Aiai said almost immediately.
Without making a sound, Yan Yiting witnessed the two people quickly approaching her and leaving her a distance away.
Never in her life had she felt so much like a super bright light bulb flickering in the night sky.
