Extra: Lin Hui and Gu An Chapter 3 [Lin Hui's Rebirth]

"Sister, you're back!"

Lin Zizhen happily broke free from Yao Xin's arms, as if he had suffered a great injustice. He pouted his lips, tears flashed in the corners of his eyes, and threw himself into Lin Hui's arms.

He just didn't expect that his older sister, who he used to be close to, would shift her footing slightly, causing him to miss and nearly fall. Huh?

Gu An couldn't help but smile at the embarrassed look. His knee didn't seem to hurt as much anymore.

"Big sister?" Lin Zizhen was very surprised, because his big sister always hugged him before.

"Zizhen, you're already a high school student. Don't cry all the time and throw yourself into the arms of your parents and sisters. Don't act like a little girl. Be more masculine."

Lin Hui's eyes flashed with disgust for no reason, and she covered her head and said lightly.

The moment she stepped into the living room, a memory appeared in her mind, shocking her so much that she looked dazed and didn't know where she was in time and space.

Her eyes gradually became clear and Lin Hui's body stopped shaking.

"Sister, are you okay? Don't blame Brother Zizhen for losing something and being in a bad mood." Lin Jingyi noticed that something was wrong with her and asked.

"It's okay." Lin Hui raised her face and looked at her second sister quietly. The stern look in her eyes as the eldest sister became even colder.

She turned and walked out, stopping in front of the thin young man kneeling outside the door. She extended her hand to him, trying to suppress the emotions surging in her heart, and spoke softly, "Brother, get up."

Gu An raised his head and faced the only relative in the family who smiled at him.

Looking at the palm extended by the eldest sister, she was a little uncertain and explained: "Sister, I didn't take my brother's action figure. I didn't take it."

"I know. Pat your knees and see if they hurt." Lin Hui grabbed Gu An and pulled him up from the ground.

Gu An held her elder sister's hand, and a warm current flowed from her palm into her heart. All the grievances disappeared in an instant. She narrowed her eyes and smiled, "It's okay, it doesn't hurt. Sister, have you eaten?"

"You should make him kneel down and reflect on his actions. He is so naughty at such a young age. He stole Zizhen's things the next day after he came back. He doesn't behave like the young master of the Lin family at all! Humph!" Lin Quan snorted coldly.

"Dad, my brother just came back and needs our care and love. There may be some misunderstanding here. He has already been punished. This matter ends here. My brother has me, the eldest sister, to discipline him."

"If I'm not present for anything at home concerning my younger brother Gu An, wait until I come back to decide." Lin Hui has many years of career in the workplace, and the president's authority is no less than Lin Quan's.

Her words were so resolute that they pierced into the hearts of every member of the Lin family present.

"You! It's up to you! Don't spoil him." Lin Quan was contradicted by his eldest daughter. He went upstairs angrily with a sullen face and went back to the study.

"Sister, don't quarrel with Dad. Maybe I remembered it wrongly. Those figures were placed in the nanny's room downstairs when we played with them before," Lin Zizhen walked up to Lin Hui and cried with tears on her face.

"Zizhen, take good care of your toys from now on and don't throw them around. Your brother was wrongly punished to kneel, so go and apologize to him."

"Ah?" Lin Zizhen was a little dumbfounded. He turned to look at Gu An beside him, and disgust and coldness flashed across his eyes in an instant.

"I think let it go. Children inevitably have bad memories. Go back to your room and do your homework, dear." Yao Xin gently stood in the middle, indicating that Sister Lin Zizhen would be fine as she, as their mother, would be there to protect her.

Lin Zizhen followed Yao Xin and ran upstairs.

When he reached the entrance of the second floor, he turned around and looked back downstairs, actively meeting Gu An's gaze. When the two looked at each other, a hint of sarcasm appeared at the corner of his mouth.

Gu An, just wait and see.

Don't think that you can stay in this family just because your elder sister speaks for you on impulse.

"Haven't you seen enough of the show?" Lin Hui glanced at her second sister indifferently without giving her a good look.

Lin Jingyi was originally lazily leaning against the wall playing with a mini scalpel. Upon hearing this, she stood up straight and put the knife in her pocket.

Before going upstairs, she half-jokingly said, "Hmm, very exciting. Big sister, I find that there is something different about you, but I can't put my finger on it."

Only Gu An and Lin Hui were left in the living room.

Lin Hui turned and stared at her brother, unable to help but reach out and gently stroke his tender face. She wouldn't make the same mistake again.

"Sister, you haven't had dinner yet, right? I'll go to the kitchen and make you a bowl of noodles." Gu An's face flushed, but he didn't dare to move.

"Okay, I'm a little hungry." Lin Hui withdrew her finger and let him go into the kitchen to busy himself, while she sat alone at the dining table and pondered.

About a quarter of an hour later, Gu An finished cooking the noodles. He first rinsed the cooked noodles with cold water, let them cool completely, and then poured in the warm noodle soup.

This way, the noodles won’t be too hot to eat and the texture will be good.

Gu An's eyebrows curved: "Sister, the noodles are ready. They're warm, not hot."

A bowl of warm noodle soup with egg and chopped green onion was placed in front of her. It was simple but Lin Hui had never eaten it before.

I took a bite of the poached egg, which was medium-rare with a soft center. The aroma of the egg and green onions was refreshing and warming.

"It's delicious. I didn't expect you could cook noodles."

"As long as big sister likes it, I'm glad. I have been helping with housework at home since I was young. I know how to do laundry and cook." Gu An scratched his head and smiled shyly.

"Did you have a good time during those years?"

"Although my adoptive parents are just an ordinary family, they treat me very well, just like their own son."

Speaking of this, Lin Hui could clearly feel that her brother was in a low mood.

It's ridiculous. He finally returned to his biological parents after being separated for fifteen years, but they weren't even as close to him as his adoptive parents. It would be hard for anyone to accept.

Lin Hui sighed: "It will be fine in the future."

"Well, big sister, I still think it's okay to study at Jiangcheng No. 1 Middle School instead of going to an aristocratic school, is that okay?"

"A noble school?"

Lin Hui remembered that she had mentioned to Gu An yesterday about transferring him to another school.

"Okay. I think Jiangcheng No. 1 Middle School is pretty good. The atmosphere in that aristocratic school isn't suitable for you."

"Thank you, sister." Gu An breathed a sigh of relief.

Lin Hui finally breathed a sigh of relief. In her memory, her brother would meet his ideal partner there. What a close call! She had nearly ruined her brother's marriage.

With his talent and diligence, what difference does it make if he goes to No. 1 Middle School? He will still be the provincial top scorer three years later.

"How did you sleep last night?"

It was a hot day and there was no air conditioning. The nanny's room was very narrow. Lin Hui had the urge to ask Gu An and Lin Zizhen to change rooms immediately, but she had no legitimate reason for the time being.

I can only let my brother down for the time being.

"It's okay. The first floor isn't that hot." Gu An said truthfully. In the early summer of Jiangcheng, you can sleep even with a fan. He wasn't some pretentious rich kid.

Lin Hui stood up and touched his head. "I'll ask someone to come install the air conditioner tomorrow. Just make do with your sleep tonight."

"Well, sister, why are you so nice to me?" Gu An's eyes were clear.

Lin Hui smiled slightly without saying anything. The moment she turned around and left, tears flowed uncontrollably from her eyes.

Silly brother, because you are my only brother!
