>The pickle jar crisis had just subsided, but Lingbao's chaotic aura unexpectedly fattened the old hen "Jinhua" in the backyard of the general's mansion.
> "Divine chickens" that emit colorful rays of light when laying eggs have set the market on fire. Speculators are frantically hyping up "auspicious poultry," and monks are feeding roosters with elixirs in an attempt to mass-produce divine beasts.
>Chen Bao’s plan launched the "Divine Beast Household Registration Law" overnight, Er Bao’s pacifier upgraded its "anti-fraud detection" function, and San Bao’s Yun Zhou dragged a net bag all over the city to hunt for the "fake divine chicken".
> Lingbao chewed on chicken feathers and drew the "Atavism Gene Chain." The venomous system announced: "Anyone who feeds the elixir again will be punished by being a rooster's shit shoveler for a hundred years!"
Xiao Jue looked at the drooping "divine chickens" in the yard and sighed, "In this flashy world, everything ends in failure."
---
The establishment of the "Pickled Vegetable Jar Protection Association" was like pouring a bucket of ice-cold water on the seething chaos. The jar registration system, pacifier testing, cloud boat enforcement, and especially the looming "100 Years of Diaper Washing" divine punishment, quickly cooled the frenzied "jar god worship" in the royal city and surrounding counties, bringing them back to reason (or, rather, temporarily deterring them). The General's Mansion finally found a break from the spit marks on the jar walls and the kowtows in the streets, allowing them to focus on more important matters—like how to get Lingbao to obediently consume that spoonful of rice porridge mixed with traces of Chaos Spiritual Energy instead of obsessively gnawing on her father's sword tassel.
In the backyard, the pickle jar, numbered Bing, glowed in the sunlight, a gentle, restrained earthenware glow. The intimidating runes carved into the jar's walls, emanating a faint glow, emanating a steady, unwavering aura. Not far from the jar, in the chicken coop, the General's mansion's meritorious hens, Jinhua, strolled leisurely through the soft sand, searching for worms. Jinhua was a perfectly ordinary white-feathered chicken, with a mottled coat and a stocky build. Her only strengths were her diligent egg-laying and docile disposition, earning her the affection of Ah Luo, the kitchen's keeper.
That morning, Ah Luo, as usual, came to the chicken coop with her small bamboo basket to collect eggs. The coop was filled with the familiar smell of hay and chicken manure. Several hens were clucking and darting in and out of their nests.
"Jinhua, how many eggs can you give to Madam and the babies today?" A'Luo bent down with a smile and reached out to touch the grass nest where Jinhua usually laid eggs.
The warm eggshell under my fingertips felt different than usual. Rounder? Smoother?
A Luo took out the egg in confusion.
"hiss--"
In the cool morning air, Luo's gasps were heard.
The egg, still warm from the hen's body, nestled in Ah Luo's palm, was shrouded in a soft, dreamlike, iridescent halo. Like a veil, the halo enveloped the pristine white shell. As the light angle shifted, the red, orange, yellow, green, cyan, blue, and purple hues slowly flowed and blended, creating a breathtaking beauty. The eggshell itself seemed to become even more lustrous, revealing a subtle jade-like texture.
"Seven...seven colorful eggs?!" Ah Luo's hands were shaking, and she almost dropped the glittering treasure. She suddenly looked up at Jinhua, who had just jumped out of the grass nest, her feathers fluffing up. The old hen seemed oblivious, still strolling leisurely, pecking at the grains on the ground. But her feathers, once mottled with reeds, seemed...extraordinarily shiny and smooth in the morning light? The comb on her head, which was always a little messy, was now as red as agate, standing upright with vigor!
Ah Luo's heart was beating like a drum. She carefully held the colorful egg in her palm, as if it were a rare treasure. She even forgot to take the basket and stumbled towards the main courtyard.
"Madam! General! Look! The magical egg! The golden flower has laid a magical egg!"
---
In the dining room of the general's mansion, the tranquility that had just been restored was broken again.
In the center of the dining table, the egg radiating colorful rays of light was carefully placed on a silver plate covered with red silk, like the top tribute, attracting everyone's attention.
Lingbao was held in Su Li's arms, his big black eyes staring at the glowing divine egg without blinking. His little mouth was slightly open, saliva flowing down the corner of his mouth, and he pointed with his little hand: "Egg...shiny...eat!"
Chen Bao held his abacus, his brow furrowed as the beads clashed silently and rapidly, clearly analyzing the energy composition and origins of the egg. Second Bao, Su Heng, held his golden pacifier in his mouth, curiously leaning forward, as if wanting to touch the glowing eggshell with it. Third Bao, Su Yu, pointed at the egg and excitedly exclaimed, "Rainbow egg! Yu Yu's cloud boat! Pretend!"
Xiao Jue and Su Li gathered around the silver plate, their expressions filled with surprise and doubt.
"Ah Luo, are you sure it's the golden flower? Are you sure you're seeing it?" Su Li reassured, her voice a little tense. Yesterday it was the pickle jar, and today it's the old hen's turn? Could things get any better?
"It's absolutely true, Ma'am!" Ah Luo's face flushed with excitement. "I saw Jinhua jump out of the nest with my own eyes! And look!" She pointed out the window toward the chicken coop. "Jinhua...seems different too!"
Everyone looked out the window. In the sunlight, the old hen, Jinhua, stood on a rock, head held high and chest puffed out. Her posture was surprisingly... majestic. Her reed-feathered feathers shone like brocade in the sunlight, her comb atop her head a vibrant crimson, and she looked energetic. She crowed, a resonant and clear sound that seemed to pierce through the clouds and crack the rocks!
"This..." Su Li held his forehead, "Zero'er's Chaos Energy even marinated the chicken?"
Xiao Jue's sharp, eagle-like gaze swept across the colorful egg and Jinhua, finally settling on Lingbao. The little girl stretched out her tiny hands, trying to grasp the egg, babbling softly. A faint, almost imperceptible wisp of Chaos Aura drifted silently through the air like a playful breeze, following her movements. This aura might be difficult for human cultivators to grasp, but for the creatures that inhabited the backyard for a long time, breathing in the Chaos spiritual energy... such as Jinhua, the old hen... its influence was likely to be subtle and profound.
