Chu Chu had never seen a firefly in real life. She only knew that fireflies were beautiful when she accidentally caught a glimpse of one while watching Lan Qingyue's drama. Those little insects that twinkled and sparkled were exceptionally beautiful, and they immediately piqued her curiosity.
"I don't know!" Lan Qingyue led Chu Chu back. Lu Yan's house was still open, and the light from the electric switch shone through the house, casting a warm white light on the cement floor.

The admission notice is a turning point in one's studies. Two years ago, when Lan Qingyue received her admission notice, she felt the same eagerness and left home early the next day to wait for the bus.
Lu Yan's mother: "Go ahead and see which school you can get into."
"Which other school could it be? The one in W City!"
Lu Yan's expression changed noticeably, becoming impatient, but she still deliberately lowered her voice angrily, "I already told you last time that the results are out and can't be changed. It's just that the admission notice wasn't ready yet. Now that the notice has arrived, it's settled."

Lan Qingyue pulled back the blankets, but the little one slid to the foot of the bed. Lan Qingyue went to the foot of the bed, but the little one nimbly slipped to the headboard. Exhausted, Lan Qingyue stood by the bed with her hands on her hips, staring seriously at the pile of soft little dough on the bed.
"Chuchu, if you don't get up, you won't be able to take a bath tonight. If you don't take a bath, you'll be a smelly little baby tomorrow, and your older brothers and sisters won't want to play with you. You'll be all alone!"
Chu Chu, her bottom sticking out from under the quilt, stiffened. She carefully parted the quilt with her hands, her big eyes darting towards the serious-looking Lan Qingyue. Her soft, sweet voice brimming with curiosity, she asked, "Mommy, is what you said true~~~" She then pinched her collar with two chubby fingers and sniffed it vigorously, before tilting her body back under the quilt. "It smells so good~~~ It doesn't smell bad at all! Brother and Sister will love Chu Chu~~~"
"That's because you can't smell it yourself."
