Chapter 372

The conference room was large, and Lan Qingyue didn't know how many reporters it could accommodate. The next second, she noticed the Chu family elders on the stage.

They stood on the stage, facing so many cameras, calm and composed. Several reporters saw Lan Qingyue and couldn't help but stand up, causing a stir in the audience.

How did she get here?

"Yes, what brings Lan Qingyue here?"

"Who knows? Let's wait and see."

Despite the many speculations, no one was foolish enough to voice them. Each person looked at the two people on the stage and then at Lan Qingyue at the door, hoping to uncover some juicy gossip.

What are you two trying to do?

Could it be that he's really willing to stand up for Chu Chu?

A few guesses flashed through Lan Qingyue's mind, but she was not sure. If it was really as she thought, that would be the best thing. She admitted that thinking this way was a bit selfish.

Chu Ying nudged Lan Qingyue and whispered, "Sister-in-law, Mom and Dad are waiting for you. Go quickly."

"Aren't you going?"

Lan Qingyue suddenly grabbed Chu Ying's hand timidly and asked nervously, "Aren't you coming along?"

“I don’t need to go.” Chu Ying patted Lan Qingyue’s shoulder. “Sister-in-law, don’t be nervous. It’s just a press conference. Don’t worry, Mom and Dad won’t make things difficult for you. Go ahead, I’ll watch over you from here.”

Lan Qingyue was pushed into the conference room by Chu Ying. Her face immediately burned, and her vision blurred as she saw a bright white light. She could only feel everyone's gaze burning at her, leaving her nowhere to hide.

"Qingyue, come here." It was the deep voice of Old Master Chu in her ear, carrying the authority of someone who had long held a high position. Lan Qingyue pursed her lips and slowly walked onto the stage.

This is the second time since she came into this world that she has faced so many cameras, cameras that she cannot avoid.

Lan Qingyue's appearance on stage completely ignited everyone's curiosity. The noise in the audience grew louder and louder, like waves crashing one after another. Some reporters who couldn't hold back even stood up, holding microphones and leaning forward, wishing they could instantly become long-armed apes, overtake their colleagues in front of them, and extend their microphones to the three people on stage.

"Chairman Chu, Madam Chairman, is there any connection between Miss Lan Qingyue's presence at today's press conference and your presence here?"

Mr. Chu frowned slightly, but quickly relaxed. He smiled like a kind old man and looked at the reporter who was further back. "Young man, you've just started working in this industry, haven't you?"

The reporter who was named paused for a few seconds, then, under the watchful eyes of his colleagues, his voice softened, "Yes."

Mr. Chu nodded, "Good, good, young man, you need to gain more experience."

After speaking, the young man sat down somewhat awkwardly under everyone's gaze, and no other reporter stood up to ask a question.

Lan Qingyue didn't quite understand why Mr. Chu had asked that question, nor did she quite understand why the frenzied reporters had suddenly fallen silent. She stood quietly to the side, acting as a beautiful vase.

With his weathered eyes sweeping over everyone present, Mr. Chu spoke in a loud voice, “I’m sure you’re all curious about what Chu’s Group is trying to tell you at this press conference today, right? I’m not one to keep things mysterious. There’s been some news on the internet lately that has made this old man very unhappy, so I’ve decided to come out and clarify things.”
