Chapter 6 contains gossip, let's chat about it.

The man raised an eyebrow slightly, his deep eyes sweeping over her briefly before quickly looking away, as if it were just her imagination. The misunderstanding popped into her mind again, and her ears started to burn.

The host had already taken the stage and delivered a passionate speech. Then it was the director's turn to give a speech. Lan Qingyue didn't hear a single word they said. Next, a man and a woman went on stage.

Actress Zeng Qianqian, sitting next to Lan Qingyue, pulled off her shawl, revealing a large expanse of her beautiful back, which drew gasps from the back seats. She then walked onto the stage arm in arm with actor Zhao Ganyu, exchanging loving glances every three steps.

Tsk tsk.

I don't know whether to say they're too immersed in their roles or if there's something going on.

Lan Qingyue loved being a bystander, her long legs elegantly crossed, elbows resting on her knees, chin propped up by the back of her hand, a faint smile spreading across her face as she watched the two people on stage politely deferring to each other with great interest.

No wonder she's an artist with over a million fans; her looks are practically a template for plastic surgery.

However… Lan Qingyue glanced sideways at Qi Yu, who was sitting upright. She seemed to prefer this kind of handsome yet masculine face. Even his profile was so charming, and the more she looked at him, the more she drooled.

A fragrant breeze filled the air, and in a fleeting moment, a graceful figure blocked Lan Qingyue's view. Then, the woman sat directly in Zeng Qianqian's seat, her delicate high heels brushing against Lan Qingyue's skirt. Lan Qingyue tugged at her hem, but the woman didn't let go. Lan Qingyue frowned almost imperceptibly, only to hear the woman exclaim with delight, "President Qi, it's been so long! Do you remember me?"

Qi Yu's voice was somewhat cold, "Do we know each other?"

The woman seemed a little embarrassed and remained silent for a few seconds before speaking, "Mr. Qi doesn't remember me, but I... I do remember Mr. Qi."

Qi Yu seemed unwilling to waste time with idle chatter. "Sorry, I prefer quiet."

The implication is that you're too noisy.

"Pfft~" Lan Qingyue couldn't help but laugh. The woman's face turned ugly, and she glared at her. Even Qi Yu's gaze fell on her again, his deep eyes seeming to see through everything. Lan Qingyue suddenly thought of one million, and her mood instantly soured. She scratched her hair to cover her face slightly, staring intently at the stage. When others clapped, she clapped too.

The woman's voice rang out again, "Mr. Qi, I'm Yu Ning's college classmate, and also your junior. My name is Ning Sisi. Three years ago, I even visited Yu Ning in the hospital. Do you remember me?"

Yu Ning?

Lan Qingyue's eyes flickered slightly; she had seen this name in the original owner's phone contacts.

There's something to it!

In real life, as an amateur writer of gossip, Lan Qingyue loves to listen to gossip. She immediately perked up her ears like a primary school student listening attentively in class.

"Excuse me, I don't know you. You've taken someone else's seat." Qi Yu replied in a normal tone. The woman, embarrassed, ran away with a flushed face.

With no more gossip to share, Lan Qingyue swung one of her long legs listlessly, comfortably leaning back in her chair as she listened to the two people on stage engaging in a heartfelt exchange with the host, automatically ignoring the seemingly indifferent gaze directed at her.

The interaction between Zeng Qianqian and Zhao Ganyu lasted for about fifteen minutes. They stepped off the stage amidst enthusiastic applause from the audience. The camera followed the host's gaze, moving from left to right and from right to left, finally settling on Qi Yu and Lan Qingyue's faces.
