There wasn't much food left on the table. Sisi quickly took the last bottle of sour drink, while Siming took three steamed buns, three sweet potatoes, and three eggs, enough for one serving each.
Lan Qingyue ordered an ear of corn, a fried dough stick, an egg, and a large bowl of porridge.
Siming leaned closer, looking at the food on his tray and then at the food Lan Qingyue had taken. The comparison made it seem like they ate quite a lot. "Teacher Lan, are you and Chuchu only eating this much?"
Lan Qingyue replied, "That's enough. Give the eggs to Chuchu, and we'll each have half of the rest."
Chu Chu is growing and needs to get enough nutrition. Eggs are a must, and if there's meat, vegetables, and milk, she'll definitely ask for those first. She doesn't really care about these things herself; usually, a bowl of porridge is enough for breakfast.
"Understood." Simin, a very easygoing person, picked up the tray and left.

“No way,” Lan Qingyue refused without even thinking. “Sisi, you’re still growing, you need to get enough nutrition.”
This bottle of sour drink can't replace milk, but it's better than nothing.

When they returned to Lu Yan's house, Lu Yan was already up and having breakfast with Chu Chu in the kitchen.
Chu Chu sat on a high round chair, her two chubby little legs dangling, eating the corn porridge that Xiao Yun fed her in big mouthfuls.
It was probably Chu Chu's first time eating corn porridge, and she really liked it. She nodded her head and squeezed out her double chin. Lu Yan finished one bowl of porridge and then stopped eating. She sat on a chair next to Chu Chu and waited for her.

After finishing a bowl of corn porridge, the little one wanted more. Lan Qingyue looked at the food she had brought back and was in a dilemma. Was it a waste for her to take so much?
"Mommy, DouDou, there's DouDou~~~" ChuChu ate stir-fried green beans with minced meat, her eyes squinting with satisfaction.
"So... are you still going to eat all of this for breakfast?"
Lan Qingyue asked Chu Chu, "She can finish a bowl of porridge by herself without any problem, but it would be difficult if you added an ear of corn, a fried dough stick, and an egg."
She had never eaten such a large portion for breakfast before.
