Lan Qingyue was jolted back to reality by a muffled thud, and looked at the chubby little figure in the corner, facepalming: "..."
You little fatty, it's you again! It's you again who disturbed my peaceful sleep! I'm so angry!
She used to have a terrible temper when she woke up, but after she started boarding school in junior high, her days were packed with activities. She would exercise, study, attend large gatherings, and do whatever she was supposed to do. In the morning, the whole dormitory had to get up early just to catch the school's commanding bell. She rarely got up on time, let alone linger in bed for even a few seconds. It was simply a sin.
After getting used to this tense campus life, Lan Qingyue's morning grumpiness gradually subsided, but it was hidden away somewhere, rather than disappearing.
Many senior students and teachers told them that if they worked hard now, they would be rewarded in the future. They said that once they got to university, they would be able to relax. They said that they had worked hard for more than ten years just for university, and so on and so forth. This successfully "brainwashed" Lan Qingyue. She longed for university life every few days, the kind of life where she would ride her bicycle to class on campus, read books and look at handsome guys in the library, chat with her roommates about gossip in the dormitory, and occasionally dress up and go out to play.
After enduring the hardships, I finally got into university and chose my favorite major. I thought things would be easier then, but I didn't expect my major to be so full of classes: four in the morning, two in the afternoon, and no classes in the evening.
In hot weather, it's alright; it gets light quickly, and the sun is already up before they're even awake. Getting up around 7 a.m. is definitely better than getting up between 5:30 and 6 a.m. But winter is different. They're dreaming in their warm beds when they're woken up by one alarm clock after another. They turn off the alarms and "struggle" for a few more minutes before reluctantly getting out of bed. They eat breakfast on the go. There are long queues at the elevators, so they have to climb the stairs instead. Her morning grumpiness is decreasing, but her obsessive-compulsive disorder is getting worse.
During this period of leisure, she was able to sleep until she naturally woke up, and her morning grumpiness quietly resurfaced.
Lan Qingyue scratched her hair in frustration, then poked Chu Chu's bouncy bottom and said, "Do you know how heavy you are? I thought there was a cow pressing down on me, it was terrifying."
Still completely bewildered, Chu Chu: "..."
What's with all this talk about being amazing? Is she really that heavy? Is she really that fat?
Besides, how can Niu Niu be as cute as her?
Chu Chu huddled in the corner, pinching the rolls of fat on her legs with both hands. She was feeling down, but despite her frustration, she felt she could still persevere a little longer. "Mommy~ Chu Chu isn't heavy, really! Chu Chu has eaten lots of vegetables~~~"
Eating both vegetables and meat ensures a balanced diet, preventing weight gain.
Lan Qingyue didn't want to argue with this three-year-old. She glanced at the sunlight outside the window, decided she could stay a little longer, and lay back down.
At this time, the school starts playing music. After a few songs, it's time for the students to go for their morning run.
A morning run?!
Director Cai didn't say whether or not to go see it, and he doesn't know if anyone else is going.
Lan Qingyue jumped out of bed with a tumble, slipped on her slippers, opened the door a crack, and peeked out with her messy head, looking left and right. The corridor was quiet. She wondered, why was no one there?
"What are you looking at so intently?"
