Lan Qingyue walked to the rooftop, where Lu Yan's mother and Lu Yan were indeed harvesting rice. They were both surprised to see her. "Miss Lan, you're back! You came back quite quickly tonight."

Lu Yan's mother asked with a smile, "Have you eaten? Hurry downstairs to take a shower and get some rest."
"No, no, no, I'll help you harvest the rice." Lan Qingyue brushed her hair aside and casually tied it into a simple ponytail with a hair tie. Looking at the rooftop, she saw only a shovel and a broom. She... didn't seem to have any tools to help.
"That won't do. You're a guest; you don't need to do this kind of work."
Lu Yan's mother refused, mainly because Lan Qingyue looked too fair and delicate, clearly someone who had never done farm work before. She figured if she tried it, she'd be exhausted by tomorrow.
Let alone people who don't do farm work, even she herself would feel sore back and tired legs if she didn't go to the fields for ten days or half a month and then suddenly went back.
Lan Qingyue waved her hand, answering casually and easily, "It's okay, I've done it before, I know how."
As a genuine country girl, she started helping her parents transplant rice seedlings when she was five or six years old, and spent her summer vacations at home watching the weather. For her, this was a piece of cake.

She changed Chu Chu into a small floral dress, which was a bit long, and when Chu Chu raised her arm, her armpits were exposed.
Chu Chu clutched at her limp collar, frowning as she said, "Mommy~~~"
Lan Qingyue was amused by her appearance and couldn't help but laugh. She pinched the straps on her shoulders and tied them into a small bow, instantly turning the dress into a high-waisted one, which covered her round belly.
Chuchu, clutching the hem of her little skirt, happily bounced around on the bed. Her chubby little feet slipped, and she fell onto the soft quilt. The little bundle of joy lay sprawled on the fluffy blanket, her tiny feet dangling nimbly, her body leaning back, her chubby arms outstretched. "Mommy, Chuchu wants to go downstairs~~~"
Lan Qingyue asked, "What are you going downstairs for?"
It's almost eight o'clock. Chu Chu, this three-year-old, should be asleep by now.
The little one was unusually excited today, nodding her head, "Chuchu wants to go play~~~"
"Chuchu, Sister Lan..." Lu Yan's voice came from outside the door, "Dinner is ready, let's eat together. I also bought some cream puffs and egg tarts today, they're delicious."
