Chapter 414 Buddha's Anxiety
At dusk, the sky was already covered with a layer of gold, and the setting sun slowly sank into the mountains.
A pure white truck is now gradually heading towards Shuntian Prefecture. At its current speed, it will arrive at Shuntian Prefecture in about four hours.
Inside the carriage, Li Chengming was still looking at the vermilion wooden coffin.
But Dao Ba had already left by then.
As an important figure among the Nirvana seekers, Dao Ba would not appear in this escort mission. Besides, no one had ever thought that someone would come to rob Dao Ba.
But sometimes the more you think something will never happen, the more likely it is to happen.
It is because not everything in this world is reasonable that this world becomes interesting.
"boom!"
The moving vehicle seemed to have hit something and the entire vehicle came to a standstill.
Li Chengming suddenly opened his eyes. He just felt the breath of a superhuman being. Even if it was only a flash, the breath of a superhuman being was the breath of a superhuman being. There was no mistake about it.
Did someone attack the Nirvana convoy?
Who has the courage to do that? But at this moment, the door of the truck suddenly exploded, and countless iron filings flew everywhere, just as powerful as bullets.
Li Chengming only saw a flash of black clothes, and a person had already walked into the carriage.
At this moment, the Nirvana in the carriage attacked fiercely.
At this time, no one could guess that this man was here to attack the convoy.
However, the moment the attack was launched, the countless figures of Nirvana were smashed back into the carriage at a speed faster than the speed at which the attack was launched.
The highway was now blocked by huge trees in front and behind. On the rear compartment of a pure white truck, accompanied by a "boom" sound, a human figure appeared.
Inside the carriage, Li Chengming was stepped on by someone with one foot.
Even at this moment, he couldn't see the appearance of the person who came, but he felt that the other party seemed to be a bald man.
"Who are you?"
Li Chengming said with difficulty: "Since you are here, you dare not show your face?"
Behind Li Chengming, the man who stepped on him in the carriage laughed and said:
"There are rules on the road. If you can't see my face, you can still live. If you see it, then everyone in this car will die."
"Are you sure you want to see me?"
When the man was talking about the rules, he seemed gentle and polite, but when he asked "Are you sure you want to meet?" his murderous intent was already revealed.
Li Chengming was almost certain that as long as he said he wanted to meet, he and everyone in the car would be dead.
After a long pause, Li Chengming spoke again:
"If you don't tell us, can't we guess it?"
"There is only one thing transported in this car, and that is this coffin. You are the Buddha, aren't you?"
The person behind the scenes neither admitted nor denied it, but simply said:
"Too much wisdom can lead to harm. People who are too smart will not live long."
"I don't want to mess with you, but you shouldn't take my things."
The sound of fingers knocking on the coffin was heard from the carriage. It seemed that this Buddhist had no intention of hiding his identity at all.
But his identity is indeed not important, after all, he has already been registered among those who have achieved Nirvana.
Buddha ran his fingers over the coffin, as if he was looking at a work of art. He looked at it for a long time before he slowly said:
"I took the things. I hope you will consider my words. I am a businessman with a peaceful mind. I just want to make friends, not enemies."
"As long as you don't mind, I will try to cause as little trouble as possible, so that it will be good for you, me, and everyone else."
Li Chengming sneered and said, "Those who reach Nirvana never compromise."
"You really won't compromise?"
After asking back, the Buddha said:
"There are too many powerful extraordinary people in the Ming Dynasty. You must have compromised."
"Don't do anything irrational because of momentary anger. Only children do that."
"That's all I can say. As for how much you take me to heart, that's up to you."
As he spoke, Li Chengming heard the sound of a coffin being slowly lifted up. He could clearly see the coffin placed in the center of the truck being slowly lifted up.
The next moment, the foot that was stepping on his back was also lifted up.
Li Chengming suddenly turned over, but at this time there was no trace of anyone else in the carriage except the unconscious Nirvana.
The vermilion coffin was also gone.
I don't know when the street lights outside went out. In the darkness, only a few sparse stars can be seen in the sky.
………
No one knows where Mr. Fo used to be, or perhaps it is a piece of history that has been forgotten.
At least no one under the Buddha knew about it anymore. Of course, maybe the old servant who had always followed the Buddha knew about it, but he never mentioned it.
Everyone only knew that the Buddha seemed to have come from a humble background, and later became a transcendent being and began to walk in various ancient tombs.
They are just the transportation channels for Master Buddha. Even though they are transportation channels, Master Buddha is generous. If they can make three or five trips a year, it is enough to earn the savings of an ordinary family for more than ten years.
Of course, this is not without danger.
The things that Buddha transports are dangerous in themselves.
And the Ming Nirvana is also a knife on their necks.
But even so, no one wants to offend Lord Buddha, because only those who truly understand Lord Buddha know how cruel he is.
Back then, the Buddha personally killed a living person to death in front of them, one cut after another. No one remembered how many times the Buddha had stabbed him, but everyone remembered the man's screams that day, and they still dare not forget them.
This time, after the Huangshi brothers got into trouble, everyone became even more frightened, fearing that they had offended Lord Buddha recently and would be used as a punching bag by him.
But for the next two days, the Buddha did not summon anyone.
It was not until the third day that the Buddha appeared before everyone, and a vermilion coffin appeared in the house.
Someone had already recognized that this was the coffin transported by the Huangshi brothers, but no one asked about it.
In this ancient house, only the Buddha asked questions, and no one else dared to ask questions.
"Master Buddha, the coffin has been placed here for a day. If it is to deter the villains, then it has achieved its effect. But why is the coffin still placed here at this time?"
After everyone left, the old servant slowly walked to the side of the Buddha and said.
The Buddha's eyes were deep, like an invisible abyss. He looked at the coffin quietly and said:
"Do you think I wanted to put the coffin here?"
The old servant seemed a little surprised when he heard this: "Isn't it?"
The Buddha walked to the vermilion coffin and ran his fingers across it.
"I can't open this coffin."
"From the day I got it back, I realized I couldn't open it."
"It seems that I was really lucky when I went to rob the coffin. I didn't meet the person who sealed the coffin at that time."
When he said this, there was a mixture of relief and reluctance in the Buddha's tone.
"But in this case, the business is not worth it. After all, I have already sold it, but I just got back something that cannot be sold."
The old servant frowned upon hearing this and said slowly: "It's good to be alive. At least you didn't meet that person."
"Yeah, at least I haven't encountered one."
The Buddha's bald head was somewhat reflective in the sunlight. He raised his head and said thoughtfully:
"But I don't know why, I've been feeling a little nervous lately, as if something big is about to happen."
Buddha is not a person who likes to procrastinate, so when he feels that something is wrong, he has already started preparing for how to deal with the troubles that will happen in the future.
This is his usual habit.
Because he knows that if trouble is about to happen, then procrastination is not a solution at all. Only facing it head-on is the best solution.
An hour later, the Buddha and the evil Taoist priest met again.
Although the evil Taoist priest was not the source of the Buddha's information, he was extremely well-informed about the news concerning those who had attained Nirvana.
This is also the reason why the Buddha looked for him.
"There shouldn't be any problem with the information I sold. So now you're looking for me. I'm curious why."
The evil Taoist priest was wearing a white shirt, and the tattoo on his neck was clearly visible, giving him a fierce and evil feeling.
"I've already got the stuff."
The Buddha walked to the center of the courtyard, stretched out his hand and knocked on the coffin, saying:
"But this thing has been sealed by someone... a terrifying and powerful person. I can't open it."
The evil Taoist sneered and said:
"You want me to open it?"
Buddha shook his bald head and said, "No, I want the information about that strong man."
The evil Taoist looked at him deeply, and after a long while he slowly said:
"Did you know?"
"An hour after I sold you the last piece of information, I regretted the deal."
Upon hearing this, the Buddha frowned deeply, but did not say anything. He just listened quietly.
"After you got the information, I got new information. The person who handled your coffin was not Nirvana's people, but a guest on the train."
The evil Taoist raised his head and looked at the Buddha in front of him and said:
"Afterwards, I checked the train passenger list and the information from the Nirvana."
"There is no information on the train passenger list, nor on the surveillance. There is no information on the Nirvana side either. It is only said that the extraordinary person is extremely powerful and is suspected to be above the fifth step."
"Even if it's for the second half of the "Cult Scripture", it's unwise to offend a transcendent who is suspected to be above the fifth step."
The evil Taoist priest revealed the information of that person bit by bit, and the Buddha's brows became more and more furrowed.
"Step five?"
The evil Taoist said coldly:
"At least the fifth step. Only people of this level among the Nirvana seekers have information that I can't find."
At this point, the evil Taoist priest looked up at the Buddha and said:
"It seems like you've been targeted."
The Buddha's eyes behind the sunglasses could not tell whether he was happy or angry. He just said coldly, "It's none of your business."
"May the best of luck to you. I'm sending you this information. I don't want that person to get involved in your case and implicate me."
After saying this, the evil man sneered and turned away, leaving the Buddha in Tang suit standing there thinking about something.
The cool breeze blew the treetops, and a leaf fell into the courtyard, landing on the vermilion coffin.
The Buddha looked at the coffin in silence for a long time and said:
"Old servant, it's time to move to another place. This place may be a little unsafe."
"Where are those people?"
The old servant asked, he was referring to those who carried the coffin for the Buddha.
Upon hearing this, Master Buddha paused and said, "We will cut off the communication for a short period of time. As for the coffin?"
"Just stay here."
………
Under the night sky, it was pitch black. Among the mountains, the departing Buddha and his old servant pushed open the door of an old house in the north of Jiangyin.
This old house is located deep in the mountains, in a truly remote place. If someone dies here, you won’t be able to find a hospital.
And this old house is located in one of the remote villages.
There are only three or five people in this village, and the rest have moved away.
This is the way of the times. Everyone is moving towards cities, and many rural areas have become deserted.
There was a damp smell in the old house, as if no one had cleaned it for a long time.
The cold starlight shines through the gaps in the old locust tree and falls onto the earth, looking eerie and terrifying.
The old servant reached out and turned on the light, and the orange light illuminated the courtyard.
"I bought this house three years ago. It's in a very remote place with almost no communication with the outside world."
“This is the best place for what you need.”
"It's just that the house hasn't been cleaned for a long time."
The Buddha, who was dressed in a Tang suit, did not dislike the shabby courtyard. He just said calmly, "It doesn't matter. It won't take much time to clean it."
As the Buddha said this, he made a discovery and countless dark shadows seemed to gather in the gloomy environment.
In reality, there is no trace of shadow, but under the lights, there are shadows of countless people.
"Five ghosts moving!"
As the Buddha's voice sounded, countless figures began to move, and someone quickly started to clean up the dilapidated places in the old house.
In just half an hour, the old house had been almost cleaned.
At this time, the Buddha took out three incense sticks, bowed to the heaven and earth, then inserted the incense on the gate, turned around and walked into the old house.
The old servant reached out and turned on the light in the room. When the light came on, he saw a man in black sitting on a bamboo chair in the old house.
"You're hiding in a really remote place."
The Buddha took a deep breath and said:
"Your Excellency?"
The bamboo chair was still shaking, making a slight swaying sound.
"You're hiding from me, but you don't know who I am?"
At this time, the old servant's voice rang out.
"Buddha, coffin!"
When the Buddha heard the sound, he looked and saw that the vermilion coffin had come here from the ancient house he had left at some point.
Buddha couldn't help but take a breath when looking at the coffin. If being able to find him was completely beyond his expectation, then moving the coffin here meant that he had been exposed since he walked out of the ancient house.
Thinking about it carefully, beads of sweat couldn't help but flow down the Buddha's shiny head.
"It seems you remembered who I am!"
The bamboo chair in the old house suddenly stopped at this moment.
"Then how dare you rob this coffin?"
