Final remarks!
There were originally thousands of words to say, but after finishing the book, it seems that there are not many words to say.
In recent years, I have been trying to write in a subtractive way and exploring new areas, so my last book was history, and this one was urban.
The creation went smoothly at the beginning, but when it reached 600,000 or 700,000 words, it seemed to become difficult. Because the emotional scenes seemed to be finished, and the new framework had not been built. It was very painful to write at that time. I called familiar authors almost every day and talked about the truths that I actually understood. At that time, I told myself again and again that I would try my best to write this book to 1 million words. Although I did not reach the predetermined goal, I had tried my best.
During that time, I suffered from insomnia and anxiety every day. It had nothing to do with Chinese medicine or money. I just felt that I had nothing to write. I felt that this new exploration would fail, and I was afraid of repeating the mistakes of "My Attic Leads to Another World".
In this mood, I gritted my teeth and persisted in thinking and writing every day. I adjusted my work and rest schedule, forced myself to go to bed at ten o'clock in the evening, and get up at seven or eight o'clock the next morning to sit in front of the computer to think. This is how I spent the entire Spring Festival.
It has been an extremely difficult month!
It was with this persistence and unknowingly that new content and a new framework were established, subscriptions began to recover and exceeded the previous peak, and the average subscription began to rise continuously.
Even three days before the book was finished, the average subscription was rising, and in the end the book's performance surpassed the previous one. Although the daily increase before the book was finished was good, the plot was finished, so I still chose to end it at 2 million words.
This book still has various problems. Although some of the writing difficulties I wanted to solve still have not been properly answered in this book, and although I encountered newer difficulties while writing this book, I also discovered new shortcomings of my own.
But at least, I learned something new while writing this book.
Never stop writing, never stop learning.
Thank you all for your company, and I apologize for any shortcomings in this book.
Never stop writing, never stop learning.
See you all in the new book!
