Chapter 29

Chapter 29

"This is amazing, truly amazing!" The doctor held the scanner and looked at the fluctuating data, his excitement evident in his eyes. "Look, the fluctuations in this area, and the orange-red gradient, mean she's responding to external stimuli again. This hasn't happened in the past few years!"

Only half an hour after the doctor left the terrace, Siqin's condition changed drastically.

She was now sitting on the sofa, holding Fu Fu in her arms, pinching his little fingers, and lowering her head to whisper something to the kitten.

Her voice was so soft that the others couldn't hear it, but Fufu seemed to find it very amusing and giggled from time to time.

The grandparents and grandchildren get along very well.

Although Si Qin still ignored everyone else including Si Yin, the appearance of Zhu Fu finally opened an exit in her originally completely closed world.

When a patient's condition improves, the happiest people, besides the family, are of course the doctors. And often, families leave the patient alone, unattended, while the medical staff become the ones they are closest to and most dependent on.

What's more, the fact that Siqin's chronic disease, which had not been cured for many years, had made a breakthrough really gratify all the doctors, nurses, and even other patients and their families who knew her.

"It would be best if you could stay on the home planet for a while longer. Let the children come and talk to her every day, take her for walks, etc. It would be very beneficial to her condition."

Si Yin and Zhu Xiyuan exchanged a glance. "Okay, we'll consider it. Is there anything else we need to do?"

The doctor thought for a moment and said, "Generally speaking, we'll provide some speech training to the person the patient trusts the most, and try to provide professional guidance. But your child is too young, and we haven't encountered such a case before. We're not sure if he can understand what we say to him."

Si Yin smiled and said, "Don't worry about adapting to this. My son is very smart."

The doctor also smiled: "Indeed, he is a little miracle. Then let him come over now and I will talk to him."

"Baby," Zhu Xiyuan said, "tell grandma you're leaving for two minutes."

For patients with brain injuries, each person forgets different things. Siqin studied music and had a very accurate grasp of the duration of a piece of music, so he did not forget the time even after he became ill.

Fufu told her grandmother what her father had said. Siqin seemed reluctant to let him go, but Fufu whispered, "I won't go far. I'll stay where grandma can see me, okay?"

The elderly, like children, often need to be coaxed. Fu Fu showed the patience of an adult towards a child.

"Then you must come back in two minutes, and don't go too far." Siqin reminded.

Fufu agreed obediently, jumped off her, and ran to the fathers: "What's wrong, Daddy?"

Zhu Xiyuan said, "Uncle Doctor has an important task for you."

The doctor looked like he wanted to pick up Fu Fu and give her a big kiss, but the kitten already had horny ears, and if he moved rashly, she might scratch him, so the doctor restrained himself.

"Sweetheart, are you willing to stay with grandma every day and help her get better soon?"

Fufu nodded.

This grandmother seemed to be very important to Si Yin, and he was willing to protect all the things that fathers cherished.

"Okay, then you must listen carefully and do what uncle says next, okay?"

The doctor told him the key points one by one, and the kitten took the initiative to learn new knowledge and memorized it in his mind.

While the adult and the child were talking, Zhu Xiyuan set a two-minute timer on his wristwatch and interrupted their conversation as soon as the time was up.

Sure enough, Siqin, who had been keeping her head down and silent, raised her head again and looked in the direction of Fu Fu.

She doesn't need a wristband display at all. People who study music already have the control of time deeply ingrained in their bones.

The doctor also realized this and patted the kitten: "Go back to grandma quickly. I will talk to your fathers about the rest."

Fu Fu jumped back.

Siqin saw him running towards her, gave a faint smile and opened her arms.

In order not to affect other patients' rest, visitors' daily visiting hours are limited. Even if they want to stay with Siqin for a while longer, they have to leave.

Parting is a very difficult thing, especially since Siqin has finally started to get better.

They had to let Fu Fu say goodbye and tell her that they would come again tomorrow at the agreed time.

The ward door closed. Siqin stared at her broken violin and fell into gray silence again. Her world seemed to be closed again with the departure of the kitten.

The doctor looked distressed and offered a solution: "Tonight, our medical staff will conduct a comprehensive assessment of your mother's condition. If she is suitable for discharge, we will complete the formalities and you can take her out for a while. We will then decide on a follow-up treatment plan based on her condition."

The nurse who was taking notes said, "I remember Mr. Si didn't seem to live on his home planet. Would that be very troublesome? Ms. Si's condition isn't suitable for transfer to another planet."

"Ah, you live in the Beta Quadrant?"

Si Yin shook his head: "We moved back last month and are now living in Bach 2. If necessary, we will live on the mother planet for a while."

"That's great. I'll contact you once the plan is out."

"Okay, thank you for your hard work."

After leaving the sanatorium, the heaviness on Si Yin's face disappeared, and he regained hope for his mother's recovery.

He lifted up Little Fuzi, spun him around several times, and then pecked his cheeks hard, completing what the doctor wanted to do but didn't dare to do: "You are truly our family's lucky star."

Xiao Fuxing herself loved this game of lifting things up high. She screamed excitedly and her laughter drifted far away.

He thought that all the efforts he made in living a new life would be meaningful just to see the smiles on his fathers' faces.

Zhu Xiyuan spoke to the Zhu family and told them about Si Yin's mother's illness. He decided to stay on the mother planet for a month to see how things develop.

Although Zhu Zhengde and Sally were reluctant to part with Fu Fu and had always looked down on Si Yin's background, they could not bear to stand by and watch her die, so they had to agree.

They settled down near Liyuan Bay and specially chose a sea view suite.

St. Helier didn't have such a beautiful sea. Fufu was over three years old and had never had a chance to play on the beach. When she came here by shuttle, she was filled with fantasy about the endless blue, but she was always busy visiting her grandmother in the sanatorium and had no time to really get close to the sea.

They had a seafood dinner that night. The kitten didn't like fish very much, but was very interested in shrimp and shellfish.

After dinner, they went to the beach.

This beach was contracted by the hotel they were staying in. It was semi-private, with no other tourists and was quite quiet.

There are fixed staff to maintain hygiene, and the quality of the sea water and the beach is very good.

Fu Fu changed into swimming trunks with a little yellow duck printed on them, put on a swimming ring with the same pattern around her waist, and carried a newly bought shovel, a bucket and a bunch of tools in her hands, and headed excitedly towards the sea.

In fact, there are more portable buoyancy markers that can be attached to the body, but Fu Fu fell in love with the large rubber duck at first sight.

It's exactly the same as what we always do in the bathtub.

Before hearing the fathers say it was okay to buy these toys, the evil spirit in the soul looked down on children's toys.

After seeing it, it smells so good.

Fuzai couldn't let go of every one of them. Si Yin, who doted on his son, bought all the toys he touched and had to buy an extra beach stroller to hold them.

A lighthouse stands at the end of the reef, emitting gentle white light to illuminate all directions.

Zhu Xiyuan played with Fu Fu in the sand. Instead of building a traditional castle, he professionally made a mini starship, which was the one they used to return to the Mother Quadrant from St. Helier.

Zhu Xiyuan doesn't like going into the water, so Si Yin is responsible for accompanying Fu Fu to swim in the sea.

The waves at night are nothing for adults, but they are still quite big for little cubs. Si Yin even bought a small surfboard and helped the cub experience it.

Normally, the kitten would be very afraid of water, but with his father around, he felt safe and had a blast playing.

When she got tired of swimming, he was carried ashore, wiped with a bath towel, and lay in Zhu Xiyuan's arms to drink juice.

The stars in the sky were blinking, and the kitten on the ground was getting more and more sleepy.

The fathers talked in low voices, their big hands protecting him warm and strong.

Before falling asleep, Fu Fu vaguely thought that all the childhood memories that she missed out on in her previous life had returned to her.

He seems to be the happiest child in the world.
