Chapter 64 Even You Abandoned Me Lin Xicai woke up in a bed...
Lin Xicai woke up and found herself in a bed.
She sat up, stunned, not understanding why she was back in this space again.
The layout of this room is almost identical to the one in the space...
But she immediately realized something was wrong.
There is no more space.
And why was she sleeping on the bed in the guest room?
The person sleeping on the bed in the guest room was clearly...
The hot breath was approaching from behind her, like a poisonous snake spitting out its tongue. Lin Xicai turned around suddenly and found Li Ci kneeling behind her.
Lin Xicai's heart stopped for a moment, and she instinctively wanted to step back. A hand reached out and easily grabbed the back of her neck. The man put his arm around her neck, pushed her close to him, and forced her to look at him face to face.
Lin Xicai frowned: "What are you going to do?"
Their faces were close together. Li Ci stared at her, his breath hitting her face, ruffling her bangs, damp, warm, and messy. He examined her inch by inch, forcing her to look at his face.
"Who am I?" he asked.
Such a distance made her uncomfortable. Lin Xicai struggled and tried to turn her head, but Li Ci forced her to turn it straight.
"Does it feel familiar?" Li Ci asked, "Me and this place."
"Time is still too short," Li Ci smiled, hatred surging in his eyes. "I didn't have time to prepare more carefully, but it's already very similar, right? Give me a little more time, and I'll make every inch of this place exactly like that place. Do you like it?"
Lin Xicai's face turned pale.
He remembered.
He finally remembered it.
The last bit of luck was shattered, and she couldn't even deceive herself.
Didn't they say that deep hypnosis would definitely make it impossible to remember? Why, why...why was it causing trouble for her at every turn! Why was there a pitfall at every step!
Lin Xicai's mind was a little confused. She had anticipated that Li Ci might not let her go easily, but she didn't expect the situation to be so bad.
Lin Xicai's absent-minded look suddenly angered Li Ci. Li Ci stared at her, and his eyes suddenly became a little terrifying.
Li Ci suddenly grabbed her collar and pulled her off the bed. Lin Xicai's neck was strangled and hurt, and she stumbled into the bathroom. Li Ci twisted her body roughly. He stood behind her, pinched her chin from behind with one hand, and forced her to look at the mirror.
Li Ci's eyes met hers in the mirror. He looked at the delicate and harmless face in the mirror with a dazed and sighing look. He seemed to be asking her, but also seemed to be talking to himself: "What kind of monster are you?"
Lin Xicai's eyes fell on the mirror, not looking at herself or him, "I don't know what you are talking about."
The hand that was pinching her chin suddenly exerted force. Li Ci's eyes turned red and a kind of rage rose in his eyes.
He suddenly let go of her hand and roughly pulled open her collar.
Two buttons on her shirt broke, and then the wound, or scar, caused by him on her left shoulder was revealed.
The scar was exposed to the air, like a drop of light red paint on a piece of white paper, so light, yet so obvious.
Li Ci stared at the scar blankly, and the rage in his eyes melted away in an instant, turning into something soft and obsessed.
"It's true," he murmured. "I know it's true."
Lin Xicai was frightened and struggled to avoid his touch, but he easily held her hands and put them behind her back.
His voice was a little soft, whispering in her ear, as if he was whispering something between lovers, "Anything else you want to say?"
Comparing strength with a man was foolish. Lin Xicai quickly realized that she had no chance of winning physically. She calmed down and stopped struggling. She pursed her lips and sneered, "It's just a wound. What can it prove?"
Her calmness, composure, and disdain were seen by him, turning into a stimulant that made him tremble. This was her, this was the real her beneath that well-behaved exterior.
Li Ci suddenly laughed, his tone curious and excited, "I didn't know I had provoked such a powerful person."
Li Ci stared at the wound he had inflicted with his own hands. He had felt guilty and regretful for who knows how long. But now, he was just grateful that this thing had become the only proof that those days had really happened.
He thought this person was too beautiful, every inch of her was too beautiful, including the wound on her shoulder.
He lowered his head and couldn't help but kiss the wound. The person he was holding noticed his intention and seemed to be greatly offended. He struggled like never before. The moment he broke free from his arms, he slapped him hard in the face as if by reflex.
Li Ci's head tilted due to the slap, and his face felt burning with pain.
He was stunned for a moment, then looked up with a fierce look in his eyes.
She hit him?
How dare she hit him?
Think this is still in there?
Do you think he is still that lowly and lowly dog?
Li Ci suddenly became very angry—he thought he should be angry, he must be angry!
As if to prove something to himself, Li Ci gritted his teeth and reached out to grab Lin Xicai's neck.
He held the slender and beautiful neck in his hand. With a slight force, the person under his hand began to struggle. The fair face began to turn red. She began to cough, and began to cough violently. The vibration of her throat was transmitted to his palm, making it numb.
Don't be fooled, Li Ci thought, this is a monster, a cruel monster.
The scenes of the past echoed in his mind, how she mocked him, how she humiliated him, how she teased him, how she designed illusions to scare him, how she locked him in the dark to punish him... Everything was vivid in his mind.
She made him eat leftovers and forced him to wear old clothes that others didn't want;
She made him write that damned review and read it to her like a fool;
She said she would go to the movies with him, and he was clearly so happy, but she deliberately found some stupid educational films with unclear meanings to humiliate him;
She forced him to learn how to cook, and he worked so hard to cook for her, cutting and burning his hands. He waited for her for so long, but in the end, she only said that she lost her appetite when she saw him.
She spared no effort to humiliate him and never missed any opportunity to humiliate or mock him.
…….
Any one of these things would be enough for him to kill her.
Li Ci's eyes were red. He looked at this monster who had trampled him to the ground, humiliated him and almost took half his life. He was clearly filled with hatred in his heart. His heart ached with hatred. No one could doubt his hatred for her, but... but his hands seemed to be completely out of his control and he could not really exert any strength.
Why? Why can't I do it?
He began to think of reasons, trying to find a decent explanation for his reluctance to do it.
Maybe……
Maybe it was because he hadn’t had enough fun yet. What’s the point of killing and eating the fish he had finally caught?
Maybe it was because she was too weak now, and he only needed to use a little force to break her neck. What sense of accomplishment would that bring?
Maybe it was because he hadn't waited for her to admit her mistakes. She had done so many wrong things to him, why should he die if she hadn't admitted her mistakes yet?
Maybe it’s because…
These reasons are all reasons.
Neither of them is a reason.
There is only one real reason.
It was so simple and straightforward that he was too embarrassed to admit it.
...I can't bear to do that.
He couldn't bear to do it.
He let go of her hand, and the guilt and heartache crept up on him and began to torture him.
It was like a morbid inertia that had been trained in him and that he was powerless to resist.
Li Ci's fingers gently touched the red spot where she was pinched by him, and she was at a loss for a moment.
He was stunned for a moment, and finally took her hand cautiously.
Lin Xicai subconsciously wanted to resist, but she held back and let him pull her to sit on the sofa in the living room outside.
The moment Lin Xicai came out of the guest room, her body stiffened for a moment - it turned out that not only the guest room, but even the outside of the living room was almost exactly the same as in the space.
This man recreated the place outside where he had been imprisoned.
He held her hand, his hands were warm, but Lin Xicai only felt a chill on her back.
Li Ci took her to the sofa and sat down, then operated and turned on the projector.
The curtain was drawn, and on top was the movie that they had not had time to finish watching in the space.
"Take a look," Li Ci stared at the movie screen, "after all, you didn't watch it seriously last time."
"Actually, I didn't really watch it," he said. "I was so happy at the time, so happy I was dizzy. Even though my eyes were fixed on the screen, I was thinking about how we were going to live together in the future. What about you?"
He suddenly looked over and asked, "What were you thinking about at that time? Thinking about how to throw me away later, right?"
Lin Xicai didn't say anything. She didn't even respond to his gaze. She just stared at the screen, pretending to watch the movie seriously, which she was not interested in at all.
After the movie, Li Ci suddenly picked her up and carried her to the bedroom. She struggled, but he held her tightly and threw her directly onto the bed in the bedroom.
She continued to struggle, and Li Ci pounced on her and pinned her hands to her sides.
He almost pressed on her, looking at her from a top-down angle, "Do you think you only owe me a movie?"
The two bodies were so close to each other, and the bodies between a teenager and a young man had a kind of immature oppressive feeling. Lin Xicai was really scared.
"Get lost!" She stared at him, her tricks exhausted, only some flimsy bluffs left. "Li Ci, if I can lock you up once, I can lock you up a second time."
As soon as he finished speaking, Li Ci's heart trembled.
He stared at her with wild, trembling eyes.
"You finally admitted it," he relaxed his grip on her, kneeling on one knee on the bed and looking at her, as if the dust had finally settled and he had received a result, a promise, and a proof. "You finally... admitted me."
Lin Xicai sat up, bent her legs and stepped back half a foot. She stared at him and continued to bluff, "Yes, you are absolutely right. I am a monster. I am indeed a monster. Since you know how terrible I am, let me go now. If you stop now, I can pretend that what happened today never happened. If you continue to provoke me, I don't mind locking you up again..."
Li Ci stared at her, and upon hearing that, he suddenly put his hands together and held out his wrist to her: "Okay."
Lin Xicai was stunned for a moment, then murmured, "Are you crazy?"
"Why do you abandon me too?" Li Ci took off all her disguises and suddenly became like a resentful woman. "Why do you abandon me too?"
Li Ci put his hands together and handed her his wrist, his eyes filled with strange desire. Lin Xicai stared at his unexpected behavior and stepped back stiffly.
Li Ci stared at her, his hands in that strange position, kneeling forward. "There's nothing good in this world," he said, his voice almost bewitching. "Let's go back to that place together and never come out again."
Lin Xicai was forced to the corner of the bed, her back pressed against the wooden board at the head of the bed. She stared at him, her body stiff, as if she had not expected this to happen at all.
She opened her mouth, but it took a long time before any sound came out.
"Wake up," she said, her voice hoarse and indifferent, "Everything I did to you was... punishment."
"Punishment?" Li Ci's eyes were fierce. "Then why don't you continue to punish me? Haven't I done enough bad things? Then I'll steal! Rob! Or bully others like before! Will you like it? Can we go back to the way we were before?"
Lin Xicai's mind exploded.
Completely dumbfounded.
Maybe she was destined to lose this game from the beginning.
Because she is a normal person.
Normal people cannot defeat madmen.
Normal people are afraid to act rashly, but madmen risk everything.
