Chapter 443 Punishment

Tie Kuang led the rest of the Red Turban Army assassins to the city wall. He felt a headache coming on as he looked at the patrolling soldiers coming and going.

We could kill some of the patrolling soldiers, but the problem was that while we could kill them, we would definitely be exposed afterward.

Just then, the soldiers patrolling the city wall suddenly heard a faint music reaching their ears, but they were not surprised at all, and instead became engrossed in it.

When Tie Kuang, who had been demoted, saw that the soldiers patrolling the city wall all seemed to be drunk, with glazed eyes and slow movements.

They didn't have time to investigate further and quickly climbed over the city wall while the soldiers were moving around, and the soldiers didn't even notice them.

The music stopped only after they entered the imperial city, and the soldiers patrolling the city walls immediately returned to normal.

But they had no recollection of the music or their previous state.

After entering the palace, Tie Kuang followed the information he had previously purchased and made his way to the main hall where the emperor was located.

Actually, you don't need a map. The Liang Kingdom's palace isn't very big. The emperor's main hall is in the very center at the back. You just need to walk around a few halls and be careful of the patrolling soldiers as you go.

But as Tie Kuang walked, he felt as if he were in a maze, seemingly going in a different direction even though he had circled around a main hall.

This bizarre scene left Tie Kuang somewhat bewildered, but given the circumstances, he had no choice but to continue moving forward.

What's even stranger is that he didn't see a single patrol of soldiers along the way; it was as if the soldiers had all vanished.

They walked for an unknown amount of time, until it was almost dawn, before realizing that they had somehow ended up in front of the Yixian Sect.

Tie Kuang was stunned. How did he end up here with Jin Ding Zhenren?

"Boss, should we go in?"

His subordinates inquired.

Tie Kuang was also conflicted.

I don't know how many times I've wandered around this palace tonight. This eerie place is like being trapped in a maze. I've only just managed to find my way to the Yixian Sect.

If I were to go around in circles again, it would probably be dawn by then.

He had also heard of the reputation of the Golden Cauldron Immortal.

The Protector of the Nation is incredibly powerful, said to be even more imposing than the emperor.

Anyway, the main purpose of my trip is not to assassinate the emperor, but to make a name for myself.

So Tie Kuang gritted his teeth and said, "Go! Who cares if he's the imperial advisor or the emperor? Let's kill one of them first!"

The eight people went directly into the Yixian Sect. A Taoist priest who was getting up to urinate saw them and immediately shouted, "Who are you...?"

Before he could finish speaking, the Taoist priest was slashed down by Tie Kuang.

"We are acting on the orders of Chu Yingfei, leader of the Red Turban Army, to kill the tyrannical Emperor Gao Ping and the sorcerer Jin Ding! Those who do not wish to die, get out of the way!"

The Taoists of the Yixian Sect were incredibly weak in combat; they were no match for the Red Turban rebels like Tie Kuang.

Tie Kuang and the other eight headed straight for the main hall of Jin Ding Zhenren, but before they could even get close to the hall's entrance, they were horrified to find that they seemed to have lost control of their bodies.

As an old sigh echoed from within the hall, Tie Kuang and the others began to float up, then were kneaded together by an invisible force.

Bones shattered, bodies twisted, flesh crushed, accompanied by screams of agony, the bodies of eight people were gathered into a ball of flesh. Although it was incredibly bloody, strangely, not a single drop of blood fell.

The eight people had already been completely turned into balls of flesh, but the squeezing still hadn't stopped and was still being compressed.

In the end, the bodies of the eight people were compressed into a fist-sized, blood-red sphere that fell to the ground with a crisp thud.

Outside the palace, Old Taoist Cui was using the Water Moon Mirror Flower formation to replay the scene of True Man Jin Ding's attack.

He had already tampered with the people when he set up a maze in the palace to lure Tie Kuang and the other eight to the Yixian Sect, so he could observe the scene when Jin Ding Zhenren made his move.

But after actually seeing it, the three of them looked at each other in bewilderment.

It's not a matter of strength or weakness, but rather that Master Jin Ding's actions were a bit too unpredictable.

He managed to compress eight living people into the size of a fist.

Even if Master Jinding casually slapped those eight people into mincemeat, it wouldn't give them this eerie feeling.

"Have you figured out the background of that Golden Cauldron Immortal?"

Old Master Cui looked at Han Yu and Yang Sheng.

Both of them shook their heads; they had never even heard of such a power attribute before.

Old Master Cui put away the formation, scratched his head and said, "Forget it, we'll definitely have to fight a fierce battle in the end anyway, so we'll just have to be on guard."

They dared not look too closely, for fear of being discovered by Master Jin Ding.

Yang Sheng waited for a while until the palace sounded the alarm before rushing to the palace.

When they arrived at the main hall of the Yixian Sect, Di Kui and the others also arrived, but Lu Panlong's face was filled with fear.

He was in charge of the defense of the capital and the palace, yet he failed to detect that someone had infiltrated the palace. This can be considered a huge dereliction of duty.

When the group arrived at the entrance of Jin Ding Zhenren's main hall and saw the scarlet ball, their expressions changed slightly.

The palace doors swung open, and Master Jin Ding said calmly, "Come in, all of you."

Jin Ding Zhenren looked at Yang Sheng and the other three and said calmly, "Over the years, I have encountered quite a few assassination attempts. There are countless people in Liang who want to kill me."

Gao Yuanlong even tried to kill me right there in court, but what happened? He was still killed by me.
