Chapter 507 God of Wishes

Tzu Chi Private Hospital has been associated with supernatural forces since its inception!

Hughes clenched his fists, cursing the West Side police department as a bunch of useless idiots!

The various strange occurrences and architectural structure within the hospital indicate that the hospital was problematic from the very beginning!

As a result, the hospital operated for several years, and even before the police station was closed, no problems were discovered. This is beyond incompetence; it's downright dereliction of duty!

Hughes looked at Yang Cheng and asked, "Mr. Yang, what do these runes mean?"

Yang Cheng shrugged and said, "Don't look at me, I don't know either. You should ask Master Morton about these things."

Of course, these things aren't important. Who cares what they are? We'll find out once we go in and take a look.

As Yang Cheng finished speaking, he threw a punch, and the stone door covered with runes shattered instantly.

Yang Cheng isn't very good at exorcising demons with technology, but he's very skilled at physics.

After Yang Cheng and Hughes stepped through the stone gate, what came into view was an enormous altar.

The altar was nearly a thousand meters in size, with the ground paved with cement in the shape of an array. In the middle was a ditch carved with huge runes, and flowing with blood.

At this moment, the altar had already begun to operate, and the black and red light it emitted even made Yang Cheng feel pressured.

Yang Cheng frowned. The thing in this altar was quite powerful. Even when facing the Goddess of Truth, Heatherville, Yang Cheng had not felt such strong pressure.

At this moment, a person was kneeling in the center of the altar. The person was hunched over and looked like an old man.

His surroundings were arranged in a regular pattern with various severed limbs, human organs, and other strange items.

"You guys are really slow."

The man turned around, revealing an incredibly terrifying face.

The other person's face looked like it had been severely burned; all the flesh and blood on the face seemed to have been torn off and then glued back together. One eye was even covered up, and only one nostril remained.

"Jerome!"

Hughes looked horrified.

Yang Cheng frowned and asked, "You recognize him?"

Hughes whispered, “Jerome Duke, he was the first person to go missing from the hospital, and I remember him well because of his appearance.”

He used to work at the Hutchins steel plant, and it seems he had some labor disputes with the plant, which led to his disfigurement.

Although Harkins Edgar, the owner of Harkins Steel, was not of noble birth, he was a multi-millionaire. After being reported to the police, he was sent home and disappeared without a trace, only returning to Scrap Iron Street a year ago.

Jerome's face twitched, and he let out a strange laugh.

"It seems you know me quite well."

Hughes pointed his gun at Jerome and said in a deep voice, "Jerome, you have caused the deaths of dozens of innocent civilians because of your evil god ritual. Stop what you are doing right now, or I will shoot!"

Jerome's terrifying face twisted into an even more grotesque smile: "Evil God Priest? I only killed a few dozen people, and you police came knocking on our door so quickly? That bastard Huggins killed tens of thousands of people, and you didn't do anything about it!"

My wife came to the hospital simply because of a headache, and they performed a craniotomy to remove her brain and offer it as a sacrifice to an evil god.

I went to argue with them, but I was forced into molten iron by Hagins' men!

If you can't give me justice, I'll take it myself!

Hughes took a deep breath: "The matter of Harkins is a dereliction of duty by the police. Stop now, and I promise to bring Harkins to justice!"

But I don't believe it!

Jerome's expression turned ferocious: "Now, bring Harkins to me immediately, I want to kill him myself!"

"Otherwise, I'll summon Gordon. Go ask Huggins; he knows what kind of being Gordon is, otherwise he wouldn't have sacrificed Gordon for so long."

Hughes took a deep breath, glanced at Yang Cheng, and Yang Cheng nodded in agreement.

The next moment, Hughes decisively pulled the trigger.

According to Jerome, he was also a victim.

But now the victim has become the perpetrator, and although Hughes sympathizes with him, he still chooses to take action.

However, before the bullet could reach Jerome, it was immediately blocked by a red light.

Yang Cheng took out the Soul-Severing Spear and said calmly, "Step back, let me handle this."

Jerome's face was contorted with rage: "So your police department really does have connections with superhumans! Then why didn't you come to my aid back then?"

Die! All of you, die!

As Jerome finished speaking, he suddenly uttered a series of incantations.

A smaller array rose up on the altar floor, from which a group of monsters crawled out.

These monsters were humanoid, about three meters tall, with pale, sticky skin all over their bodies. Apart from their eyes and a large mouth full of ferocious fangs, they had no other organs on their faces.

Moreover, these humanoid creatures had long limbs, thin bodies, and bulging bellies, resembling the hungry ghosts of the legendary hell realm.

Upon seeing these monsters, Yang Cheng's expression immediately changed.

These monsters were the same ones he had encountered in the space he entered through the rift in the Great Zhou World!

This was also the first time Yang Cheng had obtained a clue about that place in this world.

These monsters have extremely strong bodies; they can even survive being pierced through.

In the past, Yang Cheng even had difficulty killing these monsters, and there were countless of them in that place.
