Going from the supreme king of the West End to an ordinary superhuman is something that would be hard for anyone to accept.
Previously, Wood wanted to survive, but now he is probably worried about losing his power and thus his position.
Yang Cheng didn't bother with any of that and went straight into Wood's palace to find Andri, who was hiding in a corner trembling with fear.
"You're Andrew?"
Andrew was now pale with fright.
Even after summoning a deity, he still couldn't defeat Yang Cheng. Just what kind of monster is he?
"Your Honor, I am completely innocent! I truly have no idea how I have offended you!"
Yang Cheng looked at Andrew strangely: "When did I say you offended me?"
Andrew looked at Yang Cheng in disbelief: "You didn't come here to seek revenge on me?"
Yang Cheng retorted to Andrew, "You don't know me, and I don't know you, so why would I seek revenge on you?"
I just wanted to ask you for some information.
Upon hearing Yang Cheng's words, Andrew froze, revealing an expression that was both a cry and a laugh.
He fled in panic, even releasing the deity Wood had suppressed, only to find out that the deity hadn't come to seek revenge at all? It just wanted to ask him some questions?
"Then why didn't you say so sooner?!"
Andrew was filled with grief and indignation, but he dared not open his mouth to curse Yang Cheng.
Yang Cheng was even more confused: "I didn't know you before, how can I tell you?"
I just wanted to find out some information about you, but those guys insisted on fighting me, always trying to kill each other.
"I thought all the superhumans in your dungeon were reckless lunatics who only cared about strength, so I just fought my way through."
Andrew was so speechless after being cornered by Yang Cheng.
Yang Cheng seemed fine, but he still felt that something was off.
"Alright, I finally found you, so let's not waste any more time on nonsense."
I'm asking you, do you remember a guy named Jerome?
That guy's face was covered in burns; he probably bought the summoning monsters and the dark magic for worshipping Gordon, the god of wishes, from you.
Andrew actually has quite a few clients, but if he were to ask someone else, Andrew might not be able to recall them.
But Jerome Andrew remembered it clearly, after all, his appearance was so distinctive.
So Andrew thought about it for a moment and then quickly nodded.
"Where did you get those methods for summoning monsters from?"
Andrew thought for a moment and said, "I think I found it in a very ancient tomb. It was the tomb of an ancient priest, but strangely, many of the books buried with him contained methods for summoning various monsters, and they were all summoned from the same place."
What I gave Jerome was the method from that arcane art to summon the most basic monsters, and it was something he could control.
The other secret techniques are still with me; I didn't cheat him. Any other monsters he summons with his power would only be food.
"Bring out everything you found in that tomb."
Andrew quickly pulled out a large pile of books and various other odds and ends and started rummaging through them.
Finally, he took out a very old sheepskin scroll and handed it to Yang Cheng in a flattering manner: "Sir, this is it."
The tomb was in a terrible state; most of the contents had decayed, but for some reason, only this sheepskin scroll remained intact. It must have been protected by some extraordinary power.
Yang Cheng took the sheepskin scroll, flipped through it, and didn't recognize any of it.
He can understand the language of this world, but he doesn't recognize its written characters.
Besides the Assyrian Kingdom, there were other small kingdoms on the continent, and before the Assyrian Kingdom, there were more than a dozen countries that had unified the continent, as well as some ancient dynasties.
They left behind so many written and linguistic records that only an alchemist like Master Morton would be proficient in them.
After putting away the sheepskin scroll, Yang Cheng got up and left.
Andrew hesitated for a moment and asked, "Sir, is that all?"
He seemed somewhat incredulous.
Yang Cheng went through so much trouble, fighting his way through half of the underground city, and even forcing a god to retreat, just to ask him this little bit of information.
"Otherwise what? What else do you want?"
I've gotten what I wanted; good luck to you now.
After Yang Cheng finished speaking, he turned around and left. At this moment, Wood, who had recovered his senses, came over with the remaining knights under his command.
Andrew shuddered; he finally understood what Yang Cheng meant by "hope for the best."
Having released the cherubim, the god of wisdom, and destroyed Wood's foundation and power, how could Wood possibly let him off easily?
Ignoring the screams coming from behind, Yang Cheng went directly to Haji, who was far from Wood Palace, and asked him to take him away from the underground city.
Haji has been in a daze ever since Yang Cheng defeated Noynes. He has no idea who he is, where he is, or what he is supposed to do.
Even when a deity appeared and was forced back by Yang Cheng, Haji wasn't surprised at all.
In a daze, Haji led Yang Cheng back to the surface and to the West District Police Station. Haji's first words to Grace were, "Chief, I'm not going to be an informant anymore, I want to be a cop!"
Grace looked at Haji as if he were crazy: "Putting aside the fact that you can become a policeman whenever you want, what's with that expression? Did Mr. Yang get what he wanted?"
Haji said with an expression that was half-crying and half-laughing, "I got it, but I can't go back to the dungeon anymore."
