Chapter Forty-Six Dumplings

As the blood seeped into the talisman, Yang Sheng could clearly sense that a portion of his spiritual power had been drawn out, but at the same time, the surrounding wood-attribute spiritual energy involuntarily surged into the talisman.

As the talisman burst forth with a burst of light, Yang Sheng slapped it onto Mrs. Pan's face.

Mrs. Pan let out a shrill scream, and the black mist on the ten bone spurs in her hand instantly dissipated.

As Yang Sheng's Imperial Guard sword fell from the sky, Madam Pan hastily stretched out her hands to intercept it, but the bone spurs were directly shattered by the Imperial Guard sword.

She let out another scream, her hands already covered in blood.

Mrs. Pan had lost all will to fight. Her movements were incredibly agile. She leaped onto the roof, her limbs twisted and hanging there in a bizarre way, while her head rotated 180 degrees, looking down at Yang Sheng as he tried to escape.

Five Rampaging Soldiers!

Golden light instantly condensed, and the spirit of the soldier appeared behind Yang Sheng, slashing across the sky with a golden imperial guard saber!

In an instant, the golden blade light illuminated the entire corridor.

Mrs. Pan was slashed back to Yang Sheng by the knife. The next moment, Yang Sheng thrust the knife through Mrs. Pan's chest!

Having learned his lesson from the unkillable ghost infant, Yang Sheng twirled the Imperial Guard's sword in his hand for a moment before finally pulling it out.

Mrs. Pan's body twitched twice as she fell to the ground. Her once charming appearance had aged considerably, making her look like a woman in her seventies.

But before Yang Sheng could get closer to check, the corpse quickly turned to ashes and scattered all over the ground.

"Obtained the Spirit Seal of Borrowing Law - Water".

With Mrs. Pan's death, Yang Sheng's spiritual power was able to clearly perceive the surrounding water-attribute spiritual energy.

Looking at the ashes on the ground, Yang Sheng remembered that Chen You had said that the bodies left behind by these ghosts should not be left like this, otherwise they would gather yin energy.

So Yang Sheng searched around and found a plastic bag, put all the ashes in it, and handed it over to Chen You to handle the next day.

While sorting through the ashes, Yang Sheng also saw the handbag left by Mrs. Pan, which contained a room key with the number 344 written on it.

Yang Sheng thought for a moment, took the key and carefully opened room 344. This time, the room was normal, except for a lot of cosmetics and clothes.

Just as Yang Sheng was about to leave, he suddenly smelled something.

When I opened the refrigerator, it was full of pre-made dumplings.

Yang Sheng frowned slightly, tore open the dumpling filling, and a strange smell wafted out.

The dumpling filling was incredibly fragrant, but it was so fragrant that it was cloying, even nauseating.

Suddenly, Yang Sheng's pupils contracted; he realized there seemed to be something in the dumpling filling.

Upon closer inspection, it turned out to be half of a baby's thumb!

He guessed what kind of filling the dumplings had.

Yang Sheng slammed the refrigerator door shut, then turned and locked it before leaving.

After glancing at his patrol progress, which had changed from 1/7 to 2/7, Yang Sheng didn't hesitate at all and turned back to his guardhouse.

The task involves patrolling seven times over seven days and slaying seven ghosts to complete the mission.

Yang Sheng had initially thought the ghosts would grow stronger, but it seemed that Mrs. Pan's strength was far inferior to that of the ghost infant.

Even without the talisman to suppress the opponent's power, Yang Sheng felt he could handle the situation.

If every ghost is this weak, then Yang Sheng thinks it should be easy for him to complete the mission smoothly.

Of course, this was just a thought; Yang Sheng would not let his guard down.
