Chapter 404 Surfing Freedom
On the shallows, the thin girl was surrounded by several half-grown children and was fighting for a basket with a little boy who was a head taller than her.
But the little girl was young and weak and was no match for these children. She cut her hand while trying to grab the basket.
"Once we get it, it's ours. Go away, you little monster." The boy reached out and pushed the little girl, who stumbled and fell into the water.
But even so, when she saw the boy trying to take the fish from the basket, she still climbed up and tried to grab it despite the pain.
The boys became annoyed at how stubborn the girl was, so they threw away their baskets, pushed her into the water and started to attack her.
But before their fists could land, someone grabbed their wrists.
The boy turned around and saw Su Ying's face, which was backed by the light and hidden in the shadows of her eyes.
"Boy, has anyone ever taught you not to be so arrogant?"
The boy was annoyed and tried to break free from Su Ying's hand. "Who are you? I have never seen you before. You are not from the island."
Su Ying gave the boy a gentle push and he fell to the ground. “You don’t need to know who I am. If I see you stealing other people’s things again, this stone will be your fate.” As soon as she finished speaking, she stepped on a rock beside her, and it shattered!
When the half-grown children saw this, they were so frightened that they turned around and ran away.
"Monster, there is a monster coming to the island."
"Thank you, sister, for saving me."
A mosquito-like voice sounded behind her. Su Ying turned around and met the timid eyes of the little girl.
"No need to thank me. After all, you saved me yesterday." Su Ying picked up her small basket and put the fish and crabs in the water back.
"Take it."
"Thank you, sister. Brother was wrong. You are a good person."
Su Ying laughed, she also felt that she was a good person.
"I'll help you pick up the fish."
"good."
Queque said that they, the brother and sister, would set some small traps on the shallows every two days so that they could catch some stranded fish, shrimps and crabs.
"The fishing net is broken and hasn't been repaired yet, so my brother didn't come with me to pick up crabs today." Queque skillfully put a crab into the basket.
"Have you all been fishing for generations? Don't you have rice or flour besides fish?"
"Yes, but there are none on the island. They are brought to us by merchant ships from outside. The merchant ships come every six months, and we exchange fish and shrimp for food with them."
"You guys never left the island?"
Que Que shook her head. "I never left. Sister, where did you come from? Is it dangerous outside? My brother said it's very dangerous outside, and there are only bad people there."
Su Ying took the fish out of the basket and put it into her bamboo basket. "There are good people and bad people everywhere in this world. Take the boy who bullied you just now. Do you think they are bad?"
Que Que nodded, "They say brother is a monster and bullies us all the time, but brother is very strong and won't let them bully me. They only dared to steal my fish because they saw brother was not here today."
While picking up fish, Su Ying chatted with the little girl and got some information about the island from her.
Most of the islanders have never left the island in their entire lives. They are self-sufficient in their daily necessities, or rely on merchant ships that come once every six months to buy some.
That merchant ship must know the direction to the mainland, but Queque said that the merchant ship had just come here last month, and it would have to wait until December to come again, and she couldn't wait that long.
The entire island has no chance of contact with the outside world except for that merchant ship.
Su Ying frowned slightly, and felt a headache looking at the boundless sea.
"Sister, please come to my house. I will cook fish for you. My brother said that the fish I cook is the most delicious."
Su Ying shook her head when she thought of the way he was on guard against her. She decided to try to leave here as soon as possible.
Queque felt a little disappointed when she saw Su Ying rejected her, "Where are you going, sister?"
"Find a way to leave here, go back quickly, and don't let your brother worry."
The birds left reluctantly.
Just now, when she was helping Queque collect fish, she gave some to Su Ying, and Su Ying accepted them without hesitation.
She cleaned the fish, roasted it in her tent, ate it, and then went to the beach.
She took out a board that was closest to a surfboard from the space and got the flying eagle out again.
The eagle was held by Su Ying's wings and stood beside her, about half as tall as her body. She took out a long steel rope and tied it to the eagle's two claws, then tested the firmness and released the eagle.
The eagle screamed and wanted to soar into the sky, but unfortunately it was shackled by Su Ying and was tugged by Su Ying as soon as it took off.
But Su Ying controlled the force well and would not let the eagle fail to fly, but would prevent it from flying any further after reaching a certain height.
Driven by the flying eagle, Su Ying stepped on the board and started flying towards the seaside. It was really exciting to feel the surging sea water splashing on her face.
There are no satellites in this world so she can't do long-distance positioning. The tracker can only sense the existence of the other party through electromagnetics at a relatively short distance, so she can't use the tracker to find the direction of Chu.
She saw this flying eagle when she entered the space yesterday. The eagle has a strong sense of direction, especially a trained eagle. It should be able to return to the place it was familiar with in the past.
Su Ying wasn't sure whether she could succeed, so she could only give it a try.
At the beginning, the eagle tried hard to break free from the restraints on its claws and dragged Su Ying into the sea several times.
After a few times, Su Ying discovered that the bastard did it on purpose, so she simply pulled it off and gave it a humane education.
"Good fellow, you are still playing tricks on me. Be honest, or I will pluck out all your hair!"
After being taught a lesson by Su Ying several times, Feiying finally became obedient.
Su Ying grabbed the steel rope and achieved freedom in surfing on the sea.
She didn't know how long she had been rushing. When she felt her body was about to be numbed by the wind, she suddenly saw a ship coming towards her.
There was a big ship, so Su Ying directly pulled the flying eagle and let it fly towards the big ship, but the flying eagle obviously could not understand what Su Ying meant.
Su Ying simply pulled it down and threw it into the space, then got out a small boat and quickly chased in the direction the big ship left.
But after chasing for a while, she discovered that the big ship was actually heading towards the island.
Could it be that Queque lied to her? Didn’t she say that no one would go to the island except in the middle of the year and the end of the year?
Su Ying followed curiously and saw the big ship getting closer and closer to the island.
Having a boat on board is much better than surfing on the sea.
Su Ying took out a telescope and clearly saw that after those people got off the boat, the islanders on the beach were so scared that they turned around and ran away.
