Chapter 62: Showing Attention for No Reason

Chapter 62: Showing Attention for No Reason

"That's weird. Where is the person? I clearly saw someone here just now."

When those people approached, they couldn't see Su Ying.

"Don't tell me he ran away? The wind and sand are so strong that we can't see him."

"Fuck you, hurry up and chase after me."

When Su Ying came out of the space, the sandstorm had passed, and she continued to climb onto her horse and look for someone.

Just as it was getting dark, the sensor finally responded.

After Su Ying determined the direction, she rode her horse in the direction where the sensor's reaction was becoming increasingly stronger.

As for the team, it was almost midnight when Li Da ordered his men to stop the team.

Seeing that the children were asleep, Mother Zhao did not take them down from the carriage.

"I'll make some dried meat porridge in the evening, and you can just eat it with the dry food." Everyone was very tired after traveling so long, so they had to eat early and have a rest.

Aunt Sun got off the carriage and found that Su Ying seemed to be gone at noon. After getting off the carriage, she looked around and did not see Su Ying.

She squeezed next to Zhang Cui Niang and said, "Hey widow, where is the yaksha? Why can't I see her?"

Zhang Cuiniang's face looked a little ugly, but she didn't show it. "If you don't know how to speak, don't speak." After that, she ignored her and turned to help He Shouyi.

Aunt Sun spat at her, "What's the point of a widow pretending to be so important?"

Xiao Jin sat in the carriage, looking around with a vigilant expression.

"Master, have dinner."

A mosquito-like sound came from under the car. Xiao Jin lowered his eyes and saw Wang Furong standing there with a shy face, holding a bowl of porridge.

Xiao Jin did not reach out to take it, but just asked: "How is your father?"

Hearing this, Wang Furong tightened her grip around the bowl and said, "It's better now, thanks to the master."

"It's all thanks to my wife." Xiao Jin corrected calmly, "Just take good care of your father, don't worry about anything else."

Wang Furong stood there in a daze holding the bowl of porridge. "I brought the porridge to the master and served it to father."

"Just put the porridge down."

After hearing what she said, Wang Furong happily put the bowl aside and said with a shy smile, "It's cold at night, master, you should eat it while it's hot." After that, she left happily.

As soon as Wang Furong left, Lin Zhuyu came over and picked up the bowl, "Master, this porridge has not enough meat. I'll change it for you with more." Before he finished speaking, he ran away with the bowl.

She ran to the fire and almost bumped into Bai Shuang, "What are you doing? How reckless?" During this period of time together, Bai Shuang has slowly accepted Lin Zhuyu, but because of her previous identity, she is still a little wary of her.

Lin Zhuyu curled her lips and took a sip of the porridge in her hand. "Nothing. I just came to tell you that the master doesn't have any porridge yet." As for Wang Furong's porridge, she should drink it. She must be trying to be too attentive without any reason.

"I was just about to take it to the master." Bai Shuang served the porridge and brought it to Xiao Jin.

"Master, let's have dinner."

Xiao Jin nodded and motioned for her to put the porridge aside first.

Bai Shuang didn't leave in a hurry after putting down the porridge. Instead, she hesitated for a moment before asking, "Master, when will the Madam be back?"

Xiao Jin pursed his lips slightly, looked at his crippled legs with a dark look in his eyes and said, "If it's fast, we can get there tomorrow."

"Well, Madam is so amazing, she will definitely come back safely."

Xiao Jin’s brows furrowed even tighter.

On the other side, Su Ying looked at the increasingly powerful sensor and ran forward faster.

From a distance, she saw a group of wild wolves surrounding a large rock.

“Ouch~”

Perhaps sensing the presence of the wolves, the horse under him stopped anxiously, stomping its feet back and forth in place and no longer moving forward.

Su Ying reached out and touched the horse's neck to comfort it, "What are you afraid of? I'm here."

She looked at the wolf pack not far away with shining eyes and squeezed the horse's belly. The horse seemed to feel the comfort coming from her, and gradually calmed down and walked slowly over there.

“Ouch!”

When Su Ying got closer, she found that the wolves were besieging the people under the rock.

At this time, Jiang Yang was already covered in blood. He held a wooden stick in his hand and gritted his teeth to support himself as he stood behind a figure. The wolves did not attack him in groups, but instead pounced on him and bit him from time to time.

What wolves are good at is protracted warfare. Their numbers are enough to wear down the enemy to death. Once besieged by wolves, few people can escape.

Su Ying quickly jumped off the horse and slowly approached the wolf pack from behind.

The wild wolf sensed Su Ying's presence and slowly turned its head to look at her, its pair of green pupils flashing a cold light in the dim light.

“Ouch!”

Su Ying took out the electric baton and threw it away, then rushed directly to the wolf pack.

The wild wolves stared at her warily the whole time, and when they saw her rushing towards them, they bent their bodies and pounced on her to bite her.

The long stick in Su Ying's hand danced like a sword flower in the wind and sand, and the electric baton was swung at the wild wolves, shocking them so much that their whole bodies twitched.

In the blink of an eye, several wolves fell under the electric baton.

The leader wolf found Su Ying more difficult to deal with, so he led the wild wolves that were besieging Jiang Yang to surround Su Ying.

Su Ying stretched out the electric baton, and when the wolves attacked again, she waved the electric baton in her hand faster. The wild wolves fell one after another, but even so, the remaining wolves showed no intention of retreating. They pounced on Su Ying again and again, until the last wolf was knocked down, and the remaining wolves became a little panicked.

Su Ying looked at them coldly, "It's still not too late to run now."

The remaining wolves looked at the leader wolf who fell to the ground and couldn't get up. They all retreated, took several steps back, then turned around and ran away.

Su Ying put away the electric baton and walked quickly to Jiang Yang. The moment he saw Su Ying coming, Jiang Yang's body collapsed with a bang.

Su Ying stepped forward and supported him. His body was covered with scars of varying sizes from being bitten by wolves. Fortunately, although his pulse was weak, it was still stable. His fall was most likely caused by exhaustion.

Su Ying looked behind Jiang Yang, where there was a person lying. It should be Chu Yun whom he was looking for.

She walked forward to check on Chu Yun's condition. As soon as she touched his pulse, she found that his body was terribly hot and his breathing was very weak. It seemed that he was seriously ill.

After examination, it was found that Chu Yun had a lung infection which caused her high fever. If she had come a little later, he could have explained it here.

The conditions of both of them were not very good, so Su Ying could only enter the space and take out the corresponding medicines to treat them.

After injecting Chu Yun with medicine and treating Jiang Yang's injuries, Su Ying turned around and looked at the wolves that were stunned by the electric shock.

She originally wanted to deal with these wolves and put them in the space, but after thinking about it, she had other plans.

She took out a collar from the space and put it around the wolves' necks, then took out a rope and tied all the wolves to one rope.

After doing all this, she glanced at the two unconscious people behind her and carried them directly to the horse's back. She then found Jiang Yang's tied horse nearby, climbed on it, and immediately pressed the switch in her hand. After hearing the lock collar making a dripping sound, the unconscious wolves woke up slowly.
