Chapter 403 Island
The moment she broke out of the water, Su Ying saw a white-haired man.
The white-haired man was frightened when he saw Su Ying, and the net in his hand loosened immediately.
"Brother, what's wrong with you? Why did you loosen the fishing net? Pull it up quickly. It's so heavy, there must be a lot of fish in it."
The white-haired man then came to his senses and pulled up the fishing net with force, but all the fish in the net had escaped.
Su Ying didn't want to move, so she just lay in the fishing net and pretended to be dead.
The brother and sister put on the clothes and took great effort to pull the fishing net up.
"Oh, why is there a person in this fishing net? Is she dead?" Su Ying heard the little girl on the boat speaking, and her voice sounded quite nice.
The next moment, Su Ying felt someone approaching her, and she suddenly opened her eyes.
"ah!"
"ah!"
Plop!
Water splashed everywhere, and both figures were frightened and fell into the sea.
The corner of Su Ying's eyes twitched. He couldn't be so timid, right?
She looked at the brother and sister struggling in the water and reached out to rescue them, but they stared at her warily.
The white-haired man protected the little girl behind him. They were fishermen and were good at swimming. Su Ying saw that they were fine and did not rush to speak.
"Who are you and why are you here?"
The little girl hid behind the boy and stuck half of her head out to look curiously in the direction of Su Ying.
"I was washed here by the water. Thank you for saving me."
Perhaps because they did not sense any ill will towards Su Ying, the brother and sister gradually relaxed their vigilance.
"Are you really not a bad person?"
Su Ying thought the brother and sister were a little funny. "Since you ask me that, of course I will tell you that I am not."
This statement successfully made the brother and sister alert.
Su Ying shrugged helplessly and stretched out her hand to them, "Come up, I'm not a bad person."
Perhaps Su Ying's appearance made the two men uneasy. After returning to the boat, they did not continue fishing but drove the boat back to the shore.
Su Ying discovered that they were on a small island in the sea. The island seemed to be independent of the sea. At least there were no other continents around the island. It was really far away.
"Sister, where are you from?" The little girl looked to be about eight or nine years old. There was a clear light in her big watery eyes. What a beautiful pair of eyes.
As if he didn't like Su Ying looking at the little girl like that, the white-haired man stepped forward and stood between the two of them.
Su Ying retracted her gaze and said, "I was washed here by the flood."
The white-haired man said coldly, "We have saved you. We have done our best. Please don't follow us."
Su Ying had no intention of pestering the other party, "Can you tell me where this place is? Are there other countries outside the island?"
Motu pulled the little girl and said without looking back: "Yes, but it's very far, and we have never left here, so if you want to ask me how to get there, I don't know."
Su Ying was not a shameless person. Since the other party was so unwelcome to her, she had no intention of going forward with a flattering attitude.
The island is not small, and there are many small fishing boats parked on the coast.
As it was getting dark, Su Ying didn't want to scare the fishermen so late at night, so she planned to spend the night at the beach and go to the island tomorrow to inquire about the situation.
She found a sheltered place, cut some large leaves and branches to make a tent and lay down in it.
Because she had been in the water and space all the time and had hardly seen the light during this period, her joints were feeling uncomfortable due to calcium deficiency.
Su Ying was lying on the beach. Many small crabs crawled out from the sand and crawled onto her feet. She turned over and sat up, pinching the small crabs. The first person she thought of was Xiao Jin and the two children.
After falling from that damn place, they probably all thought she was dead.
If it weren't for the space and the equipment, she really wouldn't have survived.
As night fell, the fishermen who went out to sea to fish returned to the island one after another.
Su Ying got up and found a shallow beach, wanting to see if there were any stranded fish or shrimps there.
These fish were stranded on the shallows after the tide went out, and there are quite a lot of them.
Su Ying pulled out a dagger from her body and quickly caught a fish as big as half her arm. She then caught a few crabs, touched a conch, picked some seaweed, and then returned to her small tent.
After cleaning the fish and crabs, she went to pick up some dry branches.
Although this place is an island and very humid, it has plenty of sunshine and the branches are very dry and can be easily ignited.
Su Ying put the fish on skewers and roasted them on the fire, and threw the crabs directly into the fire and burned them.
Soon, some fishy smell wafted out.
Su Ying used a branch to pull out the crabs. The two big crabs were burnt black, but when she cracked open the hard shells with a stone, the meat inside was fresh and tender.
Su Ying didn't expect that this thing could be so delicious just by simply cooking it without adding anything else.
After eating, the sky gradually darkened, but Su Ying did not plan to rest there. Instead, she planned to take advantage of the night to walk around the island and get to know the environment on the island. This was her habit.
Su Ying walked into the island in the night.
She had not been walking for long when she saw a number of wooden houses. Some were dark inside, while others had a single lamp hanging under the porch.
When she reached a corner, Su Ying saw the little girl from the daytime sitting in a small yard with the white-haired man. They seemed to be repairing a broken fishing net.
"Brother, do you think that sister was sent by some bad guys?"
The white-haired man shook his head when he heard this, "I don't know."
"Then why doesn't brother help sister? She is outside alone and she must be afraid of the dark."
The white-haired man stopped what he was doing and looked at the little girl seriously, "Queque, what if she is a bad person?"
Queque lowered her head and said, "I don't think my sister is a bad person."
The white-haired man patted her head and said, "Of course not. She scared away our fish, didn't she? Well, go back to sleep first. I will take you out to sea to fish tomorrow."
Queque nodded obediently, stood up and walked into the house.
The white-haired man suddenly looked up outside the yard, but it was pitch black and there was nothing there. He frowned slightly, stood up, walked over and looked around. After making sure that there was no one there, he turned around, put away the fishing net and went back into the house.
Su Ying came out from the darkness only after the man closed the door.
It took her a long time to figure out the situation of the entire island. There was a large forest in the middle of the island, and the islanders' fresh water resources all came from that forest.
After figuring out the basic situation, Su Ying returned to her tent and meditated.
When I opened my eyes again, it was already daybreak.
Su Ying stood up and planned to go back to the shallow beach where she had been yesterday to have her breakfast.
"What are you doing? That's the cage my brother and I put in yesterday. The fish in it are ours. Don't steal it!"
