Chapter 158: Peace in the North District

Qiao Yang grinned. He was so happy that Madam Su praised him!

Hu Wei turned around and went into the house without watching.

"Where are you going, Madam Su? I'll take you there."

"To the North District."

"I'll lead the way for Madam Su." Qiao Yang patted the lime off his body and coughed. "Madam Su, wait for me. I'll go change my clothes and be back soon."

Seeing that he looked so positive, Su Ying didn't mind waiting for another half a minute.

Soon, Qiao Yang changed into a brand new light blue robe. With his delicate face, he looked like a scholar at first glance.

Qiao Yang asked Su Ying to get on the carriage, and he drove the young men to another carriage.

"How much do you know about the North District?" Su Ying asked.

"Everyone knows that the place is managed by Chief Meng Yu. Well... the people there live a very comfortable life."

comfortable?

Su Ying felt that it was extremely rare to use this adjective in the Northern Wilderness, and she was full of curiosity about the Northern District.

She originally thought that the North District was around them, but the carriage drove for a long time before stopping in front of a row of wooden houses.

Su Ying looked at the neat row of wooden houses and her eyes lit up. This was definitely a salvation for her obsessive-compulsive disorder. The wooden houses were lined up in a row, and they were exactly the same in size and height.

At the front of the wooden house there is a large wooden sign with the words "North District" written in black paint.

“Wangwangwangwang!”

There was no one guarding the entrance to the north area, but more than a dozen large black dogs rushed towards their carriage.

However, the dogs did not attack them, but only surrounded their carriage and barked fiercely.

"Go away, go away, you watchdogs." Seeing the dogs rushing towards him, Qiao Yang shrank into the car.

Suddenly, a whistle sounded, and the black dogs immediately stopped barking and walked towards the entrance. Then they squatted in an orderly manner at the door and wagged their tails vigorously at the man who was walking towards them.

"Who?"

The man was wearing a grey cloth shorts, he was tall and straight, his sleeves rolled up revealing his muscular arms. He walked steadily but very lightly, he was obviously a martial artist.

Zhou Xing came over holding a long stick and stared at the carriage vigilantly.

Only after Qiao Yang saw that all the dogs had left did he poke his head out of the carriage.

"Zhou Xing, it's me, Qiao Yang."

When Zhou Xing saw that it was Qiao Yang, his grip on the stick loosened a little.

"How did you get here?"

Qiao Yang jumped off the carriage and saw the dogs looking at him. He quickly took a step back and said, "I'll bring Madam Su over to take a look."

Zhou Xing turned around and saw a woman in a cotton dress jumping down from the carriage. He looked at her warily, "Madam Su?"

Su Ying said calmly: "Su Ying, I'm here to ask to see your domain leader."

Hearing this, a look of surprise flashed across Zhou Xing's face, but he quickly returned to normal.

"Since you are here, please come in."

"Thank you."

Zhou Xing led the way and took them into the north district.

As soon as I entered, I saw a large bamboo forest in front of me, and the row of neatly arranged houses outside turned out to be for dogs to live in. No wonder she said that the houses were too short and not suitable for ordinary people to live in.

The autumn wind blows, and the bamboo forest rustles.

After walking for about a quarter of an hour, Su Ying's eyes suddenly became bright and farmhouses appeared before her.

As she approached, she could hear the sounds of roosters crowing and dogs barking. It was noon now, and smoke was curling up everywhere. Wherever the trees touched, there was a peaceful atmosphere.

Su Ying finally understood why Qiao Yang described it this way, because this place really looked comfortable.

"Zhou Xing, where are we going?"

When someone saw Zhou Xing, they greeted him in a familiar manner.

"A friend wants to see the domain leader. I'll take them there."

Hearing this, the other party's eyes fell on Su Ying.

Qiao Yang and the others knew him, but Su Ying and the others had never seen him.

Su Ying looked at them and found that there was a contented and peaceful look between their brows, without any hostility from other people.

Zhou Xing took them to a farmhouse surrounded by bamboo.

"Master, is the Master here?" Zhou Xing shouted towards the yard a few times.

Not long after, a figure walked out from the main room, "Here I come."

The gate was opened and a middle-aged woman in a blue cloth dress came out.

"It's Zhou Xing, how come you have time to come to your domain leader's house?" The woman said, but her eyes fell on Qiao Yang and Su Ying. When her eyes fell on Su Ying, a look of scrutiny and vigilance flashed across her eyes.

"Qiao Yang said he wanted to see the domain chief for something."

"Auntie Tian, long time no see." Qiao Yang took the initiative to greet her.

"It's Qiao Yang. Is this your wife?" The woman looked at Su Ying and smiled.

Qiao Yang actually wanted to!

"No, no, it's a fairy... not Su Ying, Madam Su, my friend."

Su Ying nodded politely to the woman, "Excuse me."

The woman looked away and smiled again, "Don't bother me, come in if you want. We are just about to have lunch. Come in quickly, I will go cook two more dishes."

The woman Tian Niu stepped aside to let them enter the yard.

"Is Zhou Xing here?" A lean figure walked out from the main room. He had narrow shoulders and looked a little thin, with a pair of thick and bushy eyebrows. However, under the right eyebrow, there was a piece of black cloth covering his right eye, leaving only the left eye exposed.

As a martial artist, Su Ying felt a strong sense of righteousness from the man when she looked at him.

"Captain, Qiao Yang said he had something to talk to you about, so I brought him here." Zhou Xingdao.

"Uncle Meng, long time no see." Qiao Yang is a very outgoing person. He greeted Meng Zi warmly as soon as he saw him.

Mengzi smiled, and his hard edges seemed to be softened. "You look much stronger now, I haven't seen you for a long time. Come inside, and let's talk if you have anything to say."

Qiao Yang raised his chin proudly, "This is all thanks to Madam Su. Madam Su, this is Uncle Meng Zimeng, the governor of the North District. Don't be fooled by his fierce appearance, but he is a good person."

Mengzi looked at Su Ying, and was slightly stunned when he met those bright eyes. "You are quite young. Come in and sit down."

The tables and chairs in the main room are all made of bamboo. Even after being used for a long time, there is still a faint bamboo fragrance when you sit on them.

Tian Niu came in with some water.

"We don't have anything good here. This is honey water. They dug it up in the mountains and brought some here for you to taste and see if it's sweet."

Su Ying is indeed not polite when it comes to food and drink.

She picked up the bamboo cup and took a sip. A sweet taste instantly spread between her lips and teeth.

“It tastes good.”

"Wait for me, I'll go cook." Tian Niu laughed when she saw Su Ying drinking the sugar water, then turned around and went out of the house to busy herself.

"Uncle Meng, I know you must have known what happened in the Tiger Camp recently."

Meng Zien said, but his eyes looked at Su Ying with a rather oppressive force, "Madam Su, are you also interested in our North District?"
