Ape Attack

Ape Attack

The three people in the room looked out the door at the same time. It was the leading man.

"Let's go downstairs and have dinner." The man changed into black clothes and took off the mask on his face. It was an ordinary face. Li Ping'an looked at it several times and always felt that something was wrong.

A few people just went upstairs to put their things and chatted for a while. When they came down, it was already dark. I don’t know what kind of candles were lit downstairs, but the light was so clear, as if it were daytime.

Li Ping'an stretched his head and looked for a long time before finally finding the source of the light. It was not a candle, but a few palm-sized pearls, from which the light came.

Li Ping'an had never seen such big pearls, let alone pearls that could glow. He looked up frequently while walking.

"Ouch, I'm sorry." Li Ping'an rubbed his nose and apologized quickly.

The leading man stopped for some reason, and Li Ping'an didn't brake and bumped into him directly.

The man glanced at Li Ping'an and said nothing, but gestured for everyone to sit down.

It was a rare opportunity to have a meal in another world, so Li Pingan looked at the menu excitedly, but regretfully found that he didn't recognize a single word. He could only ask Zhao Jingyan beside him to read the names of the dishes for him.

After reading the names of the dishes, Li Ping'an had no idea what they were made of. Words like "Clusters of Flowers", "Under the Penglai Mountains", "One Family Under the World"... Li Ping'an was overwhelmed after hearing them.

Never mind, she'll just eat whatever they order.

"What do you want to order?" Zhao Jingyan asked after the other three had finished ordering and Li Pingan was the only one left.

"Let's have a cluster of flowers." Li Ping'an didn't know what this thing was, but it sounded like a pastry, and there wouldn't be any big mistakes with pastries.

Li Ping'an had this mentality before the dish was served, until a plate of sliced and exquisitely presented tongue was placed in front of Li Ping'an. Her usual expression collapsed a little. No matter how beautiful the dish was presented, it could not cover up the fact that it was a plate of tongue.

"What is this?" Li Ping'an still found it difficult to look directly at the dish.

"This is the flower cluster you ordered." Zhao Jingyan considerately moved the dish back to Li Ping'an.

Li Ping'an dodged backwards, hoping to stay away from the dish. She discovered that the tongue in the dish was still half-cooked.

"I don't like it." Li Ping'an was afraid that Zhao Jingyan would push the dish to him again, so he whispered in her ear.

"Then why did you order it?" Zhao Jingyan was a little confused. She thought Li Ping'an liked this dish very much.

"I thought it was a pastry." Li Ping'an continued in a low voice.

Upon hearing this, Zhao Jingyan said nothing more. He stood up, placed the plate of tongue in front of the man opposite, and then brought the plate of pastries in front of him to Li Pingan.

After all this hard work, he finally had a hot meal. Li Pingan started eating.

"What kind of meat is this?" Li Ping'an picked up a piece of meat. It was white and tender, melted in the mouth, and tasted extremely delicious.

Zhao Jingyan took a look and said, "Oh, this is ground rat meat."

Li Pingan stuffed the meat into her mouth after hearing this. She decided to just eat it and not ask what the meat was.

The meal was devoured in no time, mainly by Li Ping'an and the other two. Since the man opposite sat down, he took a quick bite of each dish and then put down his chopsticks.

"Don't go out tonight." The man suddenly said this before Li Ping'an entered the house.

Li Pingan scratched his head, yawned, and nodded.

Even though it was the middle of the night, the city was still brightly lit and people were coming and going. Li Ping'an was sleeping soundly as the faint sounds of hawkers came from afar.

On the Ape Mountain, fifty miles outside the city, a man wearing a veiled hat was standing on a rock, looking into the city. Behind him, monkeys of all sizes were beating their chests and howling.

A man was standing at the window on the third floor of the "Zuijiu Lou" in the city, looking at the Yuanshan Mountain outside the city.

Li Ping'an was sleeping when he suddenly heard someone screaming. Then, the scream disappeared without a trace, and even the faint hawking sounds disappeared.

Countless ape-men emerged from the four corners of the city, burning and killing along the way, roaring and rushing towards the "Drunken Wine House".

"How could this happen? How could this happen?" Looking at the ape-man in front of him who was two people tall, a man fell to the ground and crawled backwards helplessly.

The ape-man punched down with both fists, and the man's voice disappeared, leaving only a pool of mud-like substance.

There were wailing sounds everywhere, and by the time the cultivators in the city arrived, two-tenths of the city had been destroyed.

The visitors did not dare to take it lightly and were all on high alert.

The leader was knocked to the ground with just two moves, spitting out a mouthful of blood. "Why, why?" Before he could finish his words, he was lifted up by the ape-man and torn into two.

Seeing that this group of ape-men was more ferocious and more powerful than the previous ones, everyone present retreated a little.

I don't know who ran first, but the result was that everyone scattered.

Whether they were cultivators or ordinary people, they were all hiding everywhere in the city. Those who were lucky enough to reach the city gate were disappointed to find that it was tightly closed. The endless city wall became the biggest obstacle to their escape.

Li Ping'an sat up from the bed and shook her head. She didn't know why, but she had been sleeping very uneasily since the second half of the night.

After getting out of bed and pouring a glass of water from the table, Li Ping'an took it to the window and pushed it, but it wouldn't open.

What happened? It was clearly openable before. Li Ping'an didn't believe it. He drank the cold water in the cup in one breath and raised his hands.

But until Li Ping'an was exhausted and gasping for breath, the window remained motionless.

There was always a voice in his mind saying, "Go to sleep, go back to sleep." Li Ping'an felt really sleepy because of this voice.

Noticing Li Ping'an walking towards the bed, the man on the roof smiled.

Just when Li Ping'an was about to touch the bed, a sharp horse neighing sounded, and Li Ping'an immediately woke up. She recognized that it was Xiao Pu Tao's voice.

What happened?!

Li Ping'an opened the door and ran downstairs quickly, all the way to the backyard.

The man on the roof frowned and flew down.

Li Ping'an was hugging Little Grape's head and stroking it soothingly at this time. The other three groups of Pegasus horses under the same stable were pacing around anxiously. Some even wanted to rush into the sky, but were pulled back by the chains on their feet.

"Did you hear the horse neighing too?" Li Ping'an heard footsteps coming from behind and looked back vigilantly. When he found that it was the man in the same team, he let down his guard.

The man nodded, "What happened?"

Li Ping'an shook his head and said, "Maybe something scared them." Otherwise, the four horses wouldn't have become so angry at the same time.

"You watch here, I'll go out and take a look." After the man said this, he flew out from the wall.

If it were any other time, Li Ping'an would probably still be in the mood to praise the other person's skills, but for some reason tonight, she felt so nervous.

The little grape in Li Ping'an's hand gradually calmed down, and was in the mood to lick Li Ping'an's hand. After seeing that the other three horses in the shed had also calmed down, Li Ping'an breathed a sigh of relief.

Just at this moment, the man jumped in from outside and said, "Nothing, just a stray dog. I've chased it away."

This statement matched the horses' reactions, but Li Ping'an always felt something was wrong. Why didn't she hear any movement from the stray dogs?

"Let's go, I'll take you home." The man walked in front.

Li Pingan stopped where he was and did not move. The man turned around and asked, "What's wrong?"

Li Ping'an always felt that the man's ordinary face gradually melted like cream under the hazy moonlight.

"There's blood on the hem of your clothes." Li Ping'an remembered that the man had changed his clothes before dinner that night, so there shouldn't be blood on them.

The man looked at the blood on the hem of his clothes, the smile on his face gradually disappeared, and he looked at Li Ping'an fixedly with an unclear expression.

"Come on, I'll take you home." The man said again.

Li Ping'an stepped back. This man was too weird. She felt that if she went back with him, she would become a headless female corpse on the street in the next second.

The man pressed on step by step, as if he was determined to take Li Ping'an back.

Li Ping'an gripped the dagger tightly in his hand, and while the man was not paying attention, he jumped to the small door on the side, swung the knife and slashed, then pushed the door open.

Li Ping'an was stunned. Everything in front of him seemed to collapse and rebuild in an instant. The knife seemed to have broken through the false quiet and peace, pushing Li Ping'an straight into the reality of hell on earth. The bloody scene mixed with wailing everywhere shocked Li Ping'an.

Before Li Ping'an could react, a man who was only five meters in front of her smashed a three-person-tall ape to pieces. One of its eyeballs rolled and rolled to Li Ping'an's feet, looking straight at her.

Li Pingan now can't tell what is real, inside or outside the door.

When Li Ping'an was in a trance, an ape-man ran over, raised his hand and was about to hit him. Li Ping'an didn't react for a moment.

By the time she wanted to hide, it was too late.

At this moment, someone behind her dragged her into the yard. Before Li Ping'an could react, the ape-man in front of the door turned into a pool of blood.

The man closed the door of the courtyard again and looked at the dazed Li Pingan. "Let's go. I'll take you home."

As he said this, he was about to pull Li Pingan up.

Li Pingan didn't struggle, but just asked, "How long?"

"Hmm" The man seemed not to understand Li Ping'an's question.

"I ask you, how long will this killing last?"

"It started at three quarters past midnight." That was the time when the first person died.

"What time is it now?"

"Three quarters past three in the morning."

"Is it because of you that I can't open the window?" Li Ping'an didn't know how to describe his current mood.

The man nodded and said, "I want you to have a good sleep." This was a bit ambiguous.

At this time, the two had already arrived in front of Li Ping'an's house. Li Ping'an stopped and looked at the man, "Are you in disguise or wearing a mask?"

"Guess." Then he forced a smile.

Li Ping'an looked at the man's curved mouth corners, his eyes darkened, they were so similar.
