Deworming

Deworming

The moment the knife pierced his calf, the intense pain made Li Ping'an's hand tremble, and he almost couldn't hold the knife firmly.

Enduring the pain, Li Ping'an took a few deep breaths, clenched his teeth, and gripped the knife handle tightly with both hands, intending to continue digging down, but his hands were shaking more and more.

Zhao Jingyan turned his head away and didn't dare to look again.

Zhao Ziyu, who was standing by, frowned and watched for a while. When he realized that Li Ping'an really wanted to dig the insect out alive, he squatted down.

Li Ping'an's hand shook and the knife almost fell to the ground, but was caught by Zhao Ziyu.

Li Pingan looked up at Zhao Ziyu and was about to ask her to return the knife, but she said, "I'll help you."

As he spoke, he took a piece of cloth with his other hand, crumpled it into a ball, and stuffed it into Li Ping'an's mouth, signaling her to bite it tightly.

Li Ping'an bit the cloth tightly in his mouth, but his eyes were fixed on the knife on his leg. Blood flowed out and dripped onto the ground, forming a small blood pit in a short while.

The worm was tightly clinging to the bone. After the flesh on it was dug out, the worm was frightened and struggled slightly, trying to move to a deeper place.

Zhao Ziyu threw the knife into the fire, and after burning it red, he quickly pressed the insect. The insect immediately squeaked and scratched Li Ping'an's shin bone with its claws.

The red-hot knife was pressed against the insect, inevitably touching the surrounding flesh. Li Ping'an grabbed the mud under him in pain, and his fingertips were bleeding.

The smell of burnt insects mixed with the smell of burnt meat made Zhao Jingyan and Zhao Ziyu frown. Zhao Jingyan came to Li Ping'an, took out a handkerchief to wipe her face, and looked at her with heartache.

After feeling the insect under the knife stopped struggling, Zhao Ziyu picked the insect out with the knife, sprinkled medicine and bandaged it. Li Pingan moved his left leg slightly. Although he felt excruciating pain, at least he could move his leg.

"Do you want to do the other leg now?" Although Zhao Ziyu was ruthless and quick, she herself was not sure whether Li Ping'an could hold on and die.

Now one of his legs is healed, but in the eyes of the two sisters, Li Ping'an Ye must have reached his limit. His face is pale, his lips are white, his face is covered with cold sweat, and his hands are shaking unconsciously.

Li Pingan struggled to sit up a little from Zhao Jingyan's arms and nodded, "Let's do it now."

Li Ping'an felt much better. After all, she had experience. When the pain reached a certain level, the pain seemed to be pulled away, as if separated by a layer of gauze, and was hazy.

Seeing that Li Ping'an insisted on doing so, Zhao Ziyu had nothing to say.

As usual, she roasted the knife in the fire. It must be said that Zhao Ziyu's mentality was really good. Li Ping'an glanced at her bloody leg and just looked at this scene. Her expression did not change and her hands did not tremble.

Seeing the small scars on Zhao Ziyu's hands, Li Pingan sighed and said, it's not easy for anyone.

Zhao Ziyu felt that Li Ping'an had a good attitude. Even in this situation, he still had the mood to pay attention to his own performance. If Li Ping'an had not been in so much pain at the beginning, she would have suspected that Li Ping'an had no sense of pain.

After her two legs were bandaged, it was almost dawn. Li Ping'an had lost a lot of blood, her limbs were cold, her face was pale, and she was gasping for breath so hard that Zhao Jingyan and the others were afraid that she would die in the next second.

Li Pingan's consciousness was a little fuzzy now. She seemed to see herself and Annie eating hot pot and watching TV together in the small house. The scene was warm and familiar.

The scene changed, and everyone disappeared. Li Pingan found herself standing alone in the darkness, surrounded by invisible walls. The moment the light came on, she saw a bell.

The bells with intricate and colorful patterns moved without wind, and along with the crisp sound, three familiar people stood in front of Li Pingan. Their eye sockets were dark, without eyeballs, and they crawled towards Li Pingan like puppets with extremely uncoordinated limbs.

Li Pingan was so frightened by this scene that he woke up and found himself still lying next to the bonfire by the river.

"Are you awake?" Zhao Jingyan was grilling a fish in his hand.

"Having a nightmare?" Seeing Li Pingan looking frightened.

Li Pingan breathed a sigh of relief and forced a smile, "Yes, I had a nightmare."

As he said that, Li Ping'an wanted to move his body.

"Don't move for now. It will take a hundred days to heal a broken bone. I'll serve the fish soup to you when it's ready." Zhao Jingyan quickly stopped Li Ping'an from standing up.

Li Ping'an didn't have to stand up right away. After hearing what Zhao Jingyan said, he moved his body slightly, leaned against the stone, and looked around. "Where is Zi Yu?" Li Ping'an was a little confused. Why was there no sign of her?

Li Ping'an's question fell on deaf ears, not causing a single ripple. A ghostly voice rang out, "Who is Tzuyu?"

When Li Ping'an heard the voice, he turned around and looked at Zhao Jingyan, but found that Zhao Jingyan, who was originally sitting and grilling fish, had turned into a man in white clothes. Li Ping'an's eyes slowly widened. How could Jiu Qi appear here?

"Why are you injured so badly?" Jiu Qi seemed to be extremely distressed, with a hint of heartache in his tone.

Li Ping'an was not sure whether he was dreaming or in reality. He reached into his pocket and gripped the dagger tightly. He looked at Jiu Qi warily without answering.

"Now that you're awake, eat something to replenish your energy." Jiu Qi reached out and took the pot off the fire, then walked towards Li Ping'an step by step.

Li Ping'an was lying on the ground. His sight was too low to see clearly. He could only hear the gurgling sound inside the pot.

Jiu Qi sat next to Li Ping'an and said, "Come, I'll feed you."

As he said this, he was about to stuff a spoonful of boiling hot soup into Li Ping'an's mouth. Li Ping'an didn't dare to eat what he gave him. He turned his face away and closed his mouth tightly.

Seeing that Li Ping'an was so stubborn, Jiu Qi put the pot on the ground, pinched her chin with one hand, and tried to force soup into it with the other hand.

Li Ping'an struggled to see what was in the pot. It was a thick soup like blood with unknown objects rolling around in it. From his angle, Li Ping'an could only see a hand covered with small scars and a pair of bright eyes.

A nauseous feeling prompted Li Ping'an to spill the soup in Jiuqi's hand. Li Ping'an lay on the ground, reached for the pot with his hands, and shouted hoarsely: "What's in the pot?! Tell me!"

Jiu Qi suddenly realized, "So you want to know what the ingredients of the soup are?"

Jiu Qi held Li Ping'an's hands with one hand and raised the pot with the other hand. "These eyes are my elder sister's, and this hand is my younger sister's."

Seeing Li Ping'an struggling even harder, Jiu Qi lowered his head and asked in her ear, "Guess where your brothers and sisters are?" After that, Jiu Qi looked at the pot of soup with a smile. The answer to the question was self-evident.

Li Pingan couldn't stand this madman anymore. She just wanted to kill him, kill this beast. "I'm going to kill you."

She struggled to free Jiuqi's hand, took out a dagger from her pocket and stabbed him, but Jiuqi dodged it easily. Jiuqi stretched the pot in front of Li Pingan and said, "Knock it over, knock it over!"

Li Pingan waved his hand and wanted to overturn it, but suddenly thought of what was inside, "Go to hell!"

Li Ping'an felt a shake, then opened his eyes and found himself lying next to a campfire by a stream. His chest was heaving violently. Li Ping'an had not yet come out of the illusion just now, and he looked at everything around him with a vigilant face.

Zhao Jingyan noticed the movement here and hurried over. She reached out to help Li Pingan up, but Li Pingan dodged her. She was still scared and she was not sure whether this was reality or another illusion.

Zhao Jingyan didn't care, thinking that Li Ping'an was just being stubborn. After watching her sit up by herself, he said, "You finally woke up! You scared us to death!"

"You don't know, after both legs were bandaged, you fell into my arms and I couldn't wake you up no matter how hard I tried."

"My limbs are extremely cold, but my face is sweating,"

"Your breathing is getting weaker and weaker. We thought..." Zhao Jingyan realized that he had almost said something he shouldn't have said, and quickly stopped talking. "I'm glad you woke up, I'm glad you woke up."

"But why do you look so bad? Did you have a nightmare?" Zhao Jingyan asked, looking into Li Ping'an's eyes.

Hearing the familiar question and looking into Zhao Jingyan's eyes, Li Pingan felt for a moment that he had not yet woken up from the illusion. He touched the dagger in his pocket and almost stabbed Zhao Jingyan.

At this time, a figure came over from a distance, holding a chicken in his hand.

"Oh my, Tzuyu, you are really amazing."

When Zhao Jingyan saw that Zhao Ziyu had really brought the chicken back, his eyes lit up immediately.

"It's safe. Just wait. I'll let Tzuyu make chicken soup for us later."

Zhao Ziyu saw her and said nothing. She picked up the chicken and went to the river to deal with it. Ever since she followed her sister out at the age of eleven, she gradually formed the habit of taking care of herself and her unreliable sister.

"Jing Yan, will you have hallucinations after being parasitized by this insect?" Li Pingan finally calmed down.

Hearing Li Pingan's question, Zhao Jingyan was puzzled. "Hallucinations are impossible. I haven't heard of them."

"What's wrong? You must be having a nightmare."

Li Pingan shook his head, lay on the stone, looked at the blue sky, and thought about the illusion just now.

Is it really a nightmare?

still,

Did Annie and the other two really fall into Jiuqi's hands?

"It's safe. You rest for a while. I'll go help Zi Yu." After saying that, Zhao Jingyan jumped away.

Li Ping'an nodded and looked up in thought.

As she was thinking, she suddenly realized that one person was missing. Li Ping'an quickly propped herself up and looked back. Sure enough, the strong man who rushed down with them was gone.

"Jing Yan, where is the strong man who rushed down with us?" Li Ping'an asked loudly.

"Him? Shouldn't he be lying by the river?" Zhao Jingyan remembered the person when he heard Li Ping'an say that.

"Why is he gone? Ziyu, did you see when he left?" Zhao Jingyan's surprised voice sounded.

Zhao Ziyu shook his head and continued to deal with the chicken in his hand.

The leading man stood on the waterfall, looking at Li Pingan and others who formed three dots in the distance, shook the small bell in his hand, and laughed.
