Past 9

Past 9

Hearing the crowing of chickens in the distance, Sun Wuya was still a little confused when she woke up. When she saw her elder sister beside her, she realized what she had done last night.

There was no regret, only full of pleasure. If her ability allowed it, she would even want to torture these people to death.

During the day, Sun Wuya did not go anywhere and stayed by her elder sister's side to take care of her.

Looking at her elder sister's pale face, Sun Wuya's hatred for that group of people grew even stronger.

The tranquility was broken by several intruders. Sun Wuya took a closer look at the people standing in the yard and found them familiar.

The short man in the lead asked sternly, "Where were you last night?"

Sun Wuya lowered her eyes and replied calmly, "I'm taking care of my sister."

"You really didn't go anywhere?"

Sun Wuya shook her head, but the others were not giving up. They searched everywhere in the yard, even the eldest sister lying on the bed was not spared. After questioning her, they seemed a little unconvinced when they got the answer that Sun Wuya did not go out last night.

Sun Wuya stood in the yard, watching the group of people searching everywhere, wondering if anyone else saw her when she went out and came back yesterday.

After thinking carefully for a long time and not seeing any figure, Sun Wuya felt relieved.

The group of people couldn't find anything and were about to leave when the short man suddenly looked at the clothes hanging on the rope in the yard. He turned to look at Sun Wuya and asked, "Why did you wash the clothes you were wearing yesterday?"

"Yesterday when I was feeding my sister porridge, it spilled on me, so I washed it."

"If porridge spills on you, you have to wash your clothes." The man looked unconvinced.

Regardless of whether he believed it or not, Sun Wuya gave her own explanation, "It was too sticky and uncomfortable to wear. Plus, it was a little dirty to begin with, so I washed it."

"Did something happen?" Sun Wuya asked.

The man turned his nose up and snorted coldly, "This is none of your business."

Having said that, he took his men away.

Watching this group of people walk out of the yard, Sun Wuya immediately closed the door, pulled down the clothes drying in the yard, and went into the house.

The eldest sister was already confused about what had happened, and now seeing Sun Wuya's actions, she became even more confused.

Sun Wuya did not explain to her elder sister, but picked up her clothes and looked through them. She had washed them last night and the lighting was not good. If someone saw the bloodstains, it would be over.

Seeing Sun Wuya looking through her clothes with a serious expression, the eldest sister did not interrupt her, but just stared at her from the side.

After checking that there was no blood, Sun Wuya breathed a sigh of relief and raised her head to find that her elder sister was staring at her with eyes full of love. "Elder sister didn't even look carefully, and our Wuya has grown up so much."

Hearing this, Sun Wuya felt a little embarrassed and lowered her head.

"Can you tell me what happened?" The eldest sister keenly felt that the group of people who came today were related to Sun Wuya.

Sun Wuya originally didn't want to tell this to her elder sister, but seeing her elder sister's worried eyes, she compromised and told her what happened last night. Then, she lowered her head and waited for her elder sister to say that she was reckless.

The eldest sister touched Sun Wuya's head with a complicated expression, "Wuya is much braver than you, it's you who got you into trouble."

Sun Wuya was about to retort when she heard her elder sister continue, "Wuya, hurry up and leave. Pack up your things and leave. Don't stay here any longer."

Sun Wuya was stunned when she heard this, and then she started to explain, "It's okay, big sister, I handled it well, no one saw it."

After hearing what Sun Wuya said, the eldest sister shook her head and said with a mixture of tears and laughter: "This is just the beginning. If you still can't find the person later, even if there is no evidence, you will not be able to escape."

Haven't these people done enough to force confessions under torture?

"Then big sister, let's go together." Even if she left, Sun Wuya would not go alone. She wanted to take her big sister with her.

The eldest sister shook her head and said, "If you take me with you, it will be too conspicuous. I'm afraid we'll be caught before we even leave the city. You better leave quickly."

Sun Wuya didn't listen, shook her head, and made up her mind to stay with her elder sister.

Seeing that she was angry again, the eldest sister quickly explained: "I can't even get out of bed now. They won't do anything to me. But you, if they react, you will be in danger."

"What if they take their anger out on you?" Sun Wuya would not leave her elder sister alone to face that group of people.

"Don't worry, I've been here for almost ten years. When the time comes, I'll say you were scared by what happened before and ran back home. They won't do anything to me."

Sun Wuya wanted to say something else, but her elder sister's face turned stern. "Don't you want to listen to me? If you leave, I can say whatever I want, but if you stay here, things will be troublesome."

Seeing that her elder sister seemed to be really angry, Sun Wuya had no choice but to start packing up her things slowly.

Seeing Sun Wuya standing in front of her carrying a small package, the eldest sister's eyes were full of reluctance. She pulled her in front of her and touched her face, "Let me take a good look at you again."

Feeling her elder sister's reluctance to leave, Sun Wuya climbed up the pole and said, "Sister, I won't leave then. I'll stay with you and let you see enough."

Hearing this, the elder sister put her hand down and gently pushed her. "Go, go, go. Don't come back unless I ask someone to pass on a message to you."

Sun Wuya had walked to the door, but then she thought of something and turned back. She put all the money in her hand on the bedside, and then, without waiting for her elder sister to refuse, she ran away with a giggle, "Eldest sister, wait for me to come back."

"Wait for me to take you to Jiangnan."

"I shouldn't have left," Sun Wuya looked at Li Ping'an, her eyes full of regret. How could she believe her elder sister's words?

At this point, Li Pingan calculated the time and realized that the story was almost coming to an end. "Is your eldest sister dead?"

Sun Wuya closed her eyes, pursed her lips, and nodded.

She didn't expect that she just went to the next city for a walk and took a look around, but when she came back she couldn't find her elder sister.

After Sun Wuya came back during the day, she found a dark alley to hide in and did not dare to go back until night, for fear that others would see her and bring trouble to her elder sister.

As a result, she climbed over the wall and found the room eerily quiet. She thought her elder sister was asleep, but when she pushed the door open, the bed was empty.

Not only was the bed empty, but all of my eldest sister's things were gone from the room.

Since her elder sister was missing, Sun Wuya didn't bother to hide her whereabouts and knocked on her neighbor's door in the middle of the night.

A strong man came to open the door. He glanced at Sun Wuya. Just as Sun Wuya was about to ask a question, the door was closed.

Sun Wuya didn't insist too much and continued to knock on the next door, from the end of the alley to the beginning, but she didn't get an answer.

Sun Wuya collapsed. She thought of that group of people. Just when she was about to rush over to find them, someone pulled her back. Sun Wuya turned around and looked at the man. He looked familiar. He seemed to be the man who accompanied her elder sister to buy her last time.

When the man saw that it was really Sun Wuya, his eyes lit up immediately. He quickly looked around and found that there was no one else. Then he whispered to her, "Your eldest sister is by the river in the suburbs."

The man spoke very vaguely, and Sun Wuya didn't hear it. She just thought that her elder sister had moved to live by the river in the suburbs, so she thanked the man and left.

Seeing that Sun Wuya didn't react, the man looked around for a while, and finally sighed and left.

Sun Wuya ran excitedly to the river, looking for traces of houses, but the riverside was visible under the moonlight and there was no house.

Sun Wuya recalled what that person said and the attitudes of the people around her, and her heart suddenly skipped a beat. However, she comforted herself that she was overthinking it and that her elder sister might be waiting for her somewhere.

Sun Wuya began to search along the river.

"I found my elder sister." Sun Wuya stared into Li Ping'an's eyes. "She was thrown naked on the shore, her body covered with bruises and scars, mosquitoes crawling all over her, and her hair was pulled out piece by piece."

"My eldest sister is such a beautiful person, why, why!"

Sun Wuya started to shout, and in her excitement, she looked at the black shadow that was getting closer and closer, and suddenly floated over at an extremely fast speed, "Big sister, big sister."

The dark shadow in the distance still maintained its original speed and floated towards this side.

After Sun Wuya floated away for a long distance, she came back and murmured, "I can't disturb my elder sister while she's eating. I can't disturb my elder sister while she's eating."

"So all this was done by your elder sister? For revenge?" Li Pingan asked this question out of curiosity, without any malicious intent.

Sun Wuya seemed to be provoked. She suddenly rushed to Li Ping'an and pretended to strangle her neck. "Don't talk about my elder sister like that, don't!"

Li Pingan saw that she suddenly went crazy, so he quickly dodged and handcuffed her hands behind her back, "Hey, calm down."

Li Ping'an had to admire her superb ability to catch ghosts with her bare hands, although she didn't know why she could touch Sun Wuya.

Sun Wuya seemed to be very angry about her words. She twisted her body like a madman, trying to attack Li Pingan.

Li Ping'an had no choice but to slap her to wake her up.

Sun Wuya was stunned by the beating. She lowered her head and became quiet, as if she had come to her senses.

Li Ping'an let her go, but he still stared at her, afraid that she would suddenly have another seizure.

Sun Wuya suddenly looked up at Li Pingan, "My elder sister is very kind, it wasn't her who did it, it couldn't be her."

"She has suffered a lot in this life and done many good things. She deserves to be reborn cleanly, into a good family, and live a peaceful, prosperous and wealthy life."

"She didn't do it. This wasn't her doing."

Li Ping'an frowned as he listened, and after a moment's thought he understood what Sun Wuya was thinking. She was brainwashing herself. Even though she knew that the female ghost devouring souls in the distance was her elder sister, she was still brainwashing herself, believing that her sister could be reincarnated cleanly and have a beautiful next life.

"Look, I poisoned everyone here. I poisoned them all. It has nothing to do with my eldest sister."

Sun Wuya pointed at the people in the city and tried her best to make Li Ping'an believe it.

"They deserve to die, all of them."
