Saving Annie
Li Pingan was very puzzled. After the group of little zombies entered the high-rise building, the zombies downstairs suddenly dispersed spontaneously, hiding in various corners and dark places. Li Pingan just stayed there for a while, and the zombies around him had almost dispersed.
For fear of being exposed, Li Ping'an lowered his head and mixed in with the tail of the zombie group, hiding behind a tall building. He lowered his body and pushed one window after another. Finally, he found an unlocked window.
Li Ping'an quietly pushed open the window and jumped in. He then realized that this was actually a toilet. Judging from the accumulation of dust, no one had been here for a long time.
It was quiet all around. Li Ping'an tiptoed, slowed his breathing, and slipped out.
The surroundings were pitch black as far as the eye could see. Li Ping'an stuck to the wall and groped his way up the stairs.
Seeing the green escape sign, Li Ping'an's eyes lit up. He slowly opened the door and went in.
For some reason, there was no light in the entire building except the sunlight coming through the windows. Li Pingan could only grope his way forward while staring at his feet, afraid of bumping into anything.
Li Ping'an didn't know which floor Annie was taken to, so he could only climb the stairs by feeling.
When Li Ping'an was exhausted and wanted to sit down to rest for a while, a scream came from not far away. Li Ping'an immediately sat up with a serious expression and a worried look on her face. She recognized it was Annie's voice.
After realizing that Annie was just a few floors away, Li Ping'an covered his chest and swallowed the blood that was rising in his mouth, almost choking himself and making him cough.
After looking up and down several floors, Li Ping'an finally found the place where Annie was imprisoned, but there were two tall and strong zombies standing in front of the door. Li Ping'an shrank back into the shadows, thinking about how to rescue Annie.
Li Ping'an thought of his old job again and climbed over the window. But when he looked down through the window, he felt dizzy. There looked to be at least twenty floors. If he slipped and fell, Li Ping'an felt a dull pain in his heart, liver, spleen, lungs and kidneys.
But when he heard Annie's weak cry coming from the room, Li Ping'an clenched his hands. Let it hurt, otherwise if he delayed any longer, Annie would be in danger.
Li Ping'an walked down one floor and planned to climb up along the air conditioner outdoor unit. However, just as he leaned out, he saw a black gas crashing into the upstairs, and the inside instantly became crackling and chaotic.
No matter who came, this was a good opportunity. Li Ping'an quickly retracted his outstretched foot and came to the front of the room.
Sure enough, the two zombies guarding the door were gone and the door was wide open.
Li Ping'an walked over, stretched his head to take a look, and his eyes suddenly widened. He didn't expect that the black energy just now was actually Anding.
The huge floor-to-ceiling windows were tightly covered with curtains, not letting in a single ray of light. Only some light could seep in through the glass where the black air had broken through. Anding was standing in the light at this time, confronting the little zombie, and a subtle atmosphere was surging between the two sides.
"You actually came out?!" Li Ping'an found it difficult to describe the little zombie's tone. It was a mixture of surprise, excitement and hatred, which seemed a bit weird and a bit harsh.
Anding didn't know what he was talking about and frowned, "Who are you? Give her to me." Annie in the zombie's hands was hanging her head at this time, and her life or death was unknown.
Hearing Anding's words, the little zombie suddenly laughed, "You forgot, you actually forgot everything, how dare you forget!"
As he spoke, the ferocious look of the little zombie was revealed. The two fangs that were originally hidden in his mouth were now growing at an alarming speed. At the same time, he flew towards the place where An Ding was, and the two of them wrestled with each other in an instant.
It's rare to see a battle between ghosts and zombies. If Annie wasn't standing by and her life or death was uncertain, Li Ping'an really wanted to hide aside and watch the battle, and never get involved.
The two sides fought back and forth, the cabinets and tables in the house were shattered, and the strong wind made it impossible for Li Ping'an to open his eyes.
Li Ping'an couldn't tell who was stronger between Anding and the little zombie, but after the little zombie roared, the surrounding zombies all pounced on Anding, leaving only the zombie that was holding Annie.
It was a good opportunity. Li Ping'an took advantage of everyone's unpreparedness, tightly grasped the knife he had just picked up on the way, and followed the shadows to where Annie was.
Although this zombie was assigned to watch Annie, his mind was completely focused on the fight nearby. He kept leaning his body forward and roaring, looking as if he was about to join the battle.
Seeing this opportunity, Li Ping'an took a dagger and cut his throat from behind. However, he didn't have enough strength and the knife got stuck in the middle of his neck. After being attacked, the zombie roared, threw Annie aside, and was about to grab Li Ping'an.
Li Ping'an took a look at Annie who was thrown to the ground, kicked the zombie's knee, and regardless of the pain of his arm being torn off, he pressed his knee against his back, and with his other hand, he grabbed his short hair and pulled it back, and cut off his head with the knife in his hand.
The noise here startled the little zombie. Li Ping'an took a look and saw that Anding seemed to be no match for this group of people. His eyes were red from the fight and his white robe was torn into many holes. Dark black blood was splattered on it. No one knew whose it was. The evil energy was also uncontrollably emitting outwards. Li Ping'an's teeth were chattering from the cold.
Hearing the noises and roars outside the door, Li Pingan rushed into the battlefield holding Annie in his arms, braving the cold air. After blocking an attack from a small zombie for Anding, he put Annie in his arms and shouted, "Let's go, let's go quickly, don't worry about me."
Seeing Anding standing there in shock, Li Pingan quickly pushed him and said, "Let's go." He couldn't help but curse in his heart, "Fuck, this hurts so much."
After saying that, Li Pingan spat out another mouthful of blood. Anding looked at Annie who was unconscious in his arms and said, "Wait for me."
Then, he flew out holding Annie, and Li Pingan's words "Don't come to me" were stuck in his throat.
The little zombie followed closely behind, also trying to take off, but Li Pingan grabbed his leg and said, "Are you kidding me? How can he catch up with me here?"
Seeing the ghost he had been thinking about disappear before his eyes, the little zombie was furious. He turned around and looked at Li Pingan who was holding his leg tightly, with nowhere to vent his anger, "You are not dead!"
Li Pingan sometimes felt that not being able to die was also a punishment for her. After being beaten against the wall and then thrown to the ground by gravity, Li Pingan felt that her internal organs were completely displaced, and blood gushed out of her throat, unable to swallow it. Li Pingan spat out a mouthful of blood and said, "Do you know him?"
The little zombie didn't answer, but was immersed in his own thoughts. "You actually let him go. I will cut you into pieces."
As he spoke, he grabbed Li Ping'an's collar and dragged her towards the window, his tone sinister, "I'm curious, can you survive this time?"
It was not until she was thrown down from the building that Li Ping'an breathed a sigh of relief. She could finally take a break, even though all four of her limbs were broken and she couldn't move.
In extreme pain, Li Ping'an felt that his eyes went dark for a moment, and his whole body seemed to be broken and reshaped. He was in so much pain that cold sweat broke out. Li Ping'an bit his lips tightly, forcing himself not to make a sound.
As the saying goes, destruction leads to construction. After the extreme pain, Li Ping'an felt that his hand seemed to be able to move. Li Ping'an tried his best to ignore the "crunching" sound coming from his arm, and took out his mobile phone with trembling hands. While pressing the phone, he was thankful that the phone had its own protection, otherwise it would have been shattered into pieces under this critical blow.
After opening "Travel a Thousand Miles a Day" and entering the destination, Li Ping'an closed his eyes and waited peacefully to be teleported to Annie's side. He closed his eyes too early, so Li Ping'an did not see the shock and deep thought in the eyes of the little zombie when he saw her disappear from his sight.
When Li Ping'an opened his eyes again, he found himself lying in a pile of straw. He tilted his head and saw Annie lying next to him. He immediately breathed a sigh of relief.
Anding is not here, he won’t come back to find me, Li Pingan comforted himself, it’s okay, he is very capable, no need to worry about him.
Looking at the surrounding environment, Li Pingan thought that she should worry about herself. The two of them should be lying in a wasteland, with an unobstructed view of the surroundings. Although there were no zombies in sight, if a zombie came, she and Annie would be a complete buffet.
Looking at the sun hanging in the sky, Li Ping'an realized that this place should be very far away, after all, the city of Dongba was covered with dark clouds.
Although only less than a day had passed, Li Ping'an felt physically and mentally exhausted. Staring at the sun as it set in the west, the pain in Li Ping'an's body finally subsided a little, and he would spit out blood if he didn't move.
I have to say that the place Anding found was quite safe. At least during this period of time, Li Pingan did not see any trace of zombies.
After she recovered a little, Li Ping'an turned her body and looked at Annie beside her. She had been calling Annie's name, trying to wake her up, but there was no response.
Annie's face was pale and she looked very abnormal. Li Ping'an ignored the dull pain in his body, held her in his arms, and whispered, "Annie, Annie." As he called out, he gently shook her body.
Annie finally woke up after a while. When she saw Li Pingan, she thought she was dead and threw herself into his arms.
"Safe, safe." He cried while calling her name.
Li Pingan touched her head distressedly and said, "Don't cry, don't cry, it's okay."
Annie cried for a while before she realized that she was not dead, and Li Pingan was not dead either. She shouted excitedly: "Pingan, Pingan, we are not dead."
Li Ping'an quickly held her down, fearing that she would fall because of being too excited.
"Ping'an, it hurts so much," Annie cried to Li Ping'an aggrievedly, "They pulled my arm so hard that it hurts, and they also..." At this point, Annie's face, which had finally regained some color, suddenly turned pale again.
"Safety,"
Annie's face was lowered, and Li Ping'an didn't see her expression. He thought she was still scared, so he said "um" to indicate that he was here.
It wasn't until water dripped onto his hand that Li Pingan realized Annie was crying. "What's wrong?"
