Chapter 12
The world of truth was taken away by the pharmacist.
The queen stood in the room, with Araki's bed behind her. There was a window behind the bed. It was hard to tell whether it was too dark or too bright. The queen stood in that position, and the pharmacist and the world of truth looked at her vaguely. They could only see the outline of the queen, as if even her shadow was not clear.
The queen said to the world of truth, "This is all for his own good. He is my son. How could I want to harm him? I love him more than you do. If he knew that you died for him, he would be very sad. I know him. He will not be willing to accept reality. Instead of making him sad, it is better to let him forget it now. As long as he forgets it, he does not need to make a choice."
Not having to make a choice means not being sad.
The world of truth withdrew his gaze.
The pharmacist brought the World of Truth to his residence, which was a temporary pharmacy.
The servants stood guard at the door to prevent the World of Truth from flying out or the pharmacist from leaving when no one was paying attention.
The pharmacist placed the World of Truth on the table in front of him: "To be honest, I do have a way to make the unconscious prince open his eyes, but have you really decided to die now?"
The World of Truth nodded, and by the way, he tidied his feathers, plucked off a feather and handed it to him.
The pharmacist asked: "Is this for me?"
The World of Truth nodded and shook his head.
The pharmacist asked: "Is this entrusted to me to pass on to the prince?"
The World of Truth nodded.
The pharmacist said, "If nothing unexpected happens, the queen will let the prince drink the amnesia potion before he wakes up. When the time comes, the prince will not remember you when he wakes up. Even if he sees this feather, he will not remember that it is yours, nor will it remind him of the forgotten part of your memory. I advise you not to hold out hope."
The World of Truth nodded.
The pharmacist suddenly became curious and moved forward a little. He looked at the World of Truth and asked, "Can you only nod?"
The World of Truth shook his head.
The pharmacist nodded, "Okay."
He asked, "Is there anything else you want to do?"
The World of Truth thought about it, looked around, and shook his head when he didn't find what he wanted.
The pharmacist asked, "Do you need paper and pen?"
The World of Truth nodded.
The pharmacist opened the door and asked the servant outside to bring him paper and pen. The servant handed the things over, and the pharmacist took the things and closed the door.
The things were placed on the table in the room.
The pharmacist looked at the world of truth and asked, "Do you want to use it?"
The world of truth nodded, walked around the paper and pen for two steps, and found that his body was not suitable for using paper and pen, and shook his head.
The pharmacist picked up the paper and pen, looked at the world of truth and asked, "What do you need to write? I can do it for you."
The world of truth thought about it, hesitated, and shook his head.
The pharmacist put down the things and asked, "Have you changed your mind now?"
The world of truth nodded.
The pharmacist put the things aside, made a space, sat down facing the table, looked at the world of truth and asked: "I'll ask again, are you sure you've changed your mind? You don't need these things and don't need to leave anything for the prince? If you think so, just nod your head."
The world of truth nodded.
The pharmacist asked: "Then what else do you need me to do?"
The world of truth thought for a while and shook his head.
The pharmacist said: "Well, you have nothing else to do and nothing to say. I will start preparing the potion. Do you regret it?"
The world of truth shook his head.
The pharmacist smiled and whispered: "I think you don't know, but you really don't regret it."
The world of truth snorted coldly.
The pharmacist didn't mind that the world of truth was angry. He took out his own things, put them on the table, prepared a big pot, lit it, added water, and started to boil. The room quickly became hot, and the temperature was much higher than before. The world of truth felt a little uncomfortable. The pharmacist looked at the world of truth with sweat on his forehead and said, "Close your eyes, lie on the table like you are asleep."
He stared at the world of truth with burning eyes and said, "I want to tell you that this process may be very painful. Once it starts, you will never have a chance to interrupt. Do you understand?" The
world of truth nodded, closed his eyes, and lay on the table.
The servants outside heard a scream, but they didn't know whose voice it was. The room quickly became as hot as a big fireball, and even they felt uncomfortable.
This high temperature continued for a while. The temperature in the house was higher than outside and it felt hotter. No one opened the window or door. The servants who were guarding outside gradually retreated away from the house, trying to stand in the shadow to feel cooler. However, the high temperature was like a shadow.
Just when the queen could no longer bear it because of the passage of time and felt that she might have been deceived, the pharmacist's voice came from the house. The servant listened and felt that someone shouted "OK" from inside. He was very happy and hurried to find the queen.
The queen was originally walking around in the prince's room, wondering if she had made a mistake in visiting the pharmacist. When she heard the servant's message, she hurried over. The servant was in front, leading the queen to the door of the pharmacist's room. The door was not open yet. The queen looked at the servant, extremely angry, slapped him and asked, "What's the matter? You deceived me!"
The servant covered his face, knelt on the ground, shook his head, not knowing how things could be like this, glanced at the room, kowtowed to the queen and admitted his mistakes, begging, "I don't know! I didn't! It's not like this! Please don't You're going to kill me! I know I was wrong! I will definitely correct it!"
The door creaked open, and the pharmacist came out staggeringly with a red face, holding a green bottle in his hand. He stretched out his arms high with a smile, turned around to everyone, and said with a chuckle, "This is mine!"
He touched the bottle curiously, as if he felt the coolness of the ice in the hot summer. He hissed and said with a grin, "This is what the queen wanted me to make. It's done, it's done! Ahahaha! I thought it wouldn't work. It's really special, so special. I almost died in there. It was so dangerous."
When the queen saw the pharmacist's expression, she felt cheated and strode over angrily, almost slapping the pharmacist in the face. However, considering that the pharmacist was not a servant in the palace, nor was he one of her descendants or a particularly close acquaintance, she gritted her teeth, held back her anger, glared at the pharmacist and asked, "You didn't drink any alcohol before you went in, so how did you become like this?"
The pharmacist smiled and shook the medicine bottle in front of the queen and said, "I didn't drink any alcohol, but my medicine must be added with wine! Otherwise, the medicine will not be effective enough. Otherwise, if you take it out, people will think it is a counterfeit, because everyone who has seen my medicine knows that if there is no wine, it is not my medicine. The pharmacist took the medicine from the prince and said, "I have given you the medicine! I told you clearly. Didn't you listen?"
He snorted, "Then you can't blame me. How can it be my fault? Isn't it all your fault?"
The queen reached out to snatch the medicine from him and take it away. The pharmacist dodged and took several steps back. He stared at the queen, protecting the medicine bottle and said, "I can't give you this now. Although you are the employer, I don't know what you are going to do with it. I can't guarantee your character. So, take me with you. I will feed the patient the medicine and I guarantee that there will be no problem.
Otherwise, you will bear the consequences yourself. What do you think?"
The queen turned around and said, "Then come with me!"
The pharmacist was almost carried into the prince's room.
The prince was looking for the world of truth everywhere: "Where are you? Green, Green, where are you? Don't scare me! I can't find you. I don't know where you are. Don't hide, come out! I won't do anything to you! Please, come out! Green, Green?"
He covered his face and cried: "What should I do without you? Green..."
The queen asked the pharmacist: "Why is he like this? He is usually in a stable mood!"
The pharmacist was not surprised: "This is normal. The patient's mood is not very stable. He just shouted a few words and cried a few times, which is already very good. If You are in physical pain, mentally irritable, and there are people around you who keep asking you to do this and that, and won't let you rest quietly. You will also feel that everyone around you is annoying, and wish that everyone in the world would die. If it were you, you might not be much better than him."
The queen was impatient and waved her hand: "Then let him drink the medicine quickly!"
The pharmacist walked in front of Araki, but before he could say anything, Araki stood up and glared at him and drove him out: "Get out! Get out of here! Get out of my room! I know you have bad intentions."
The pharmacist blinked and quickly retreated.
The queen was stunned for a moment and then became furious: "Why are you running? You are a pharmacist! Your job is to treat patients! Not be afraid of seeing people! Do you have such a little courage?"
Araki picked up the stick next to him and shouted to the other servants in the room: "You get out too! Hurry up! Get out now! Don't come in again! No one is allowed to come in without my permission!"
The servants all stepped back, looking at the queen as they stepped back.
The queen felt embarrassed and exhausted, and looked at Araki and asked, "Can't you be quiet? Don't you know that your physical condition is very bad? Don't you know--"
The pharmacist shouted at the door of the room, "It's better not to talk too much to him, it will only irritate him, he can't listen, in my opinion, he can't understand a word in his current state, just go along with him!"
The queen didn't believe it and stared at Araki.
Araki hit her with a stick.
