Chapter 141
From an outsider’s perspective, if the housekeeper knew about this, he would be angry.
“Can we go in and talk?”
Ayers asked with a smile.
“Well…”
Green hesitated.
Ayers came at an inopportune time, because the housekeeper happened to be in Green’s room. They were planning to discuss Ayers’ affairs, but Ayers came and knocked on the door.
When he opened the door and saw Ayers, Green was shocked.
No matter who is discussing others behind their backs, they will be nervous when they suddenly find this person in front of them.
Green’s hesitation made Ayers realize that something was wrong. He took a look into the room, and Green subconsciously wanted to close the door.
The housekeeper felt that he could not hide anymore, so he simply stood up, walked behind Green, pressed Green's shoulder and said to Ayers with a smile: "Excuse me, please tell me later if you have anything to say."
As he spoke, Chris closed the door and locked it.
Because Green was really worried that Ayers would sneak in and eavesdrop when he was not paying attention.
If Ayers really heard their discussion, then the fact that they were perverts might be confirmed.
And being regarded as a pervert is not the most important thing.
If Ayers thinks it is unsafe to stay here and wants to leave because of this, then finding someone again later is like scooping a drop of water from the ocean, which is too difficult.
Green has been waiting for Ayers to come here for a long time. He has looked for him before, but he didn't find him.
Maybe it was because it was too early, Ayers hadn't shown up once, so it was normal that he couldn't find him. But after Ayers showed up, Green hadn't figured out how to contact him.
This was very troublesome.
If he wanted to find a detective, there might be people who were more famous and capable than Ayers. Green was the richest man in the area, and it would be strange for anyone to go find a small detective for no reason.
If he wanted to move suddenly and become Ayers' neighbor, it was not impossible, but Green didn't lack money to buy the house next to Ayers, but he lacked a reason to move inexplicably.
He had such a big house, lived in it for a long time, and lived well. Who wouldn't find it strange if he suddenly had to move to a new place?
Even if he disguised himself as a bandit to rob himself, and then moved with this reason, there is no way to explain why he didn't live in a big house but squeezed into a small one.
So Green has been silent for a long time.
It's not that he doesn't want to, but he hasn't thought it through.
This can't be blamed on him. The root cause is that the system picked the wrong time. The system said that it became like this because of the impact of the impending destruction of the world.
Green didn't know, and Green didn't ask. Green didn't want to care about those things. Green just wanted to solve the problem as soon as possible and then take revenge.
In the silence of Green and the system, things became like this.
Ayers finally came to the door, how could he let him go so easily?
Closing the door was also a last resort.
"He didn't lose his temper with me."
Ayers was shocked.
He touched his face and he really wasn't beaten.
He was very happy, as if nothing happened, and turned around to leave, but halfway through he suddenly remembered that he was supposed to do something, so he walked back.
Green and Chris discussed him in a low voice in the room.
"Will he be disgusted if we give him money directly?"
Green asked Chris.
"I don't know, I haven't tried it. Although he seems to be really short of money, if we give him money for no reason, he might think it's a trap, so he won't be willing to accept it."
Chris shook his head.
"Send a servant out, find someone to get the money, and then ask him to approach us and agree to the task we ask for? Anyway, as long as he agrees, his things will be ours."
Green whispered.
"Then why does it seem like stealing? And he may not agree. That problem is a bit perverted no matter how you hide it."
Chris also whispered.
"That's true."
Green nodded and fell silent.
"I seemed to hear a series of footsteps."
Chris said suddenly.
He stood up and opened the door.
Outside the door was Ayers who was trying to eavesdrop.
"Excuse me, what are you doing? I'm just a little curious. Just pretend I didn't do anything and I'll leave right away."
Ayers waved his hand, turned around and ran.
Green stood up, walked to Chris, and looked left and right to see if there was anyone else in the corridor.
"Why don't you catch him? Maybe this is a good opportunity."
Green said.
"Even though I can catch him, I don't think this is a good opportunity, because he will only think that I want to threaten him."
Chris said to Green.
"I don't think I have done anything to him?"
Green asked.
"No, how could I?"
Chris said.
"Yeah, we haven't met before, and we have been in this house for the past few days, but this house is so big that he may not meet even if he takes an hour's walk."
Green laughed and said.
"Then why? What have you done to him?"
Green stared at Chris and asked.
"I tortured him for no reason, and he would not agree to my conditions even if I tortured him."
Chris pulled the corner of his mouth.
"Then what did you do to him? Think about it carefully."
Green said.
"Meet him and talk to him, and invite you down to meet him. Send him a maid to take care of his daily life, and send him a carriage and a driver. If it were someone else, he would have been happy."
Chris spread his hands.
"There's nothing I can do about it."
Green shook his head.
"Since he came to knock on your door, he must be looking for you. It's not convenient for me to be here. You go to the room and wait for him first. I'll go somewhere else and come back after you finish talking. How about that?"
Chris asked.
"That's the thing, but why are you talking as if I'm having an affair with him."
Green was stunned.
"If you don't want to, just don't meet him. Besides, I know you won't do that. Even if you do, I own half of the house."
Chris touched the purse on Green's waist and smiled at him. It was a dangerous smile.
Ayers looked around the corner of the corridor and saw the smile. It was a very subtle angle, so he squinted his eyes.
Ayers felt that he saw it clearly, and immediately hid and ran away, thinking: I don't know whether it is better to say that the rumor is wrong or that the rumor is actually right.
They seem to be very close, I wonder if I can provoke them.
No, no, there is no reason for me to provoke them.
But they really look like the kind of relationship that will break if you hit it with a stick.
The last time I saw that kind of smile was when a king in poverty was extremely angry and a little crazy when facing his imprisoned young, beautiful lover who wanted to escape with a child.
It must be fun if I succeed in provoking the relationship between the two of them. It's
exciting to think about it. I really want to do it.
Ayers hugged himself and was in a dilemma.
Green touched Chris's face and said, "No matter what time, I think this face is pretty."
"Of course."
Chris was proud.
"Okay, you go, I'll wait for him in the room. If he doesn't come, try again tomorrow. Maybe he will come the day after tomorrow. It's hard to say."
Green pushed Chris and said.
Chris nodded, turned around and left. Green looked around and closed the door of the room.
After a while, it got dark and the lights were on in the corridor.
Ayers walked to Green's room and knocked.
"Hello, what can I do for you?"
Green asked as he opened the door.
"I'm here to bring you milk and fried chicken. I think you didn't eat dinner. I didn't see you when I was at the table."
Ayers showed Green what he had in his arms.
Green thought about what he was doing tonight, but he didn't remember, but he did not eat anything.
He didn't really want to put Ayers in his room, as he felt that Ayers's smile was a bit malicious.
Although he was sure that Ayers couldn't do anything to him, if Ayers knew some secrets that he shouldn't know, then Green didn't know what he should do to Ayers.
"The butler isn't in there, let me in."
Ayers pulled Green's sleeve and shook it gently.
Green nodded after hesitating, opened the door and let him into the room. He
was going to let him in anyway, but since he wanted to come in so much, he could stay here.
Green closed the door and looked at Ayers, who had his back to him, with a gentle smile.
"Are you looking for me just to have dinner?"
Green asked.
"I also want to chat with you about something. I've been here for some time, but I always chat with the servants and haven't seen you. So I'm more curious about you and really want to find you.
You won't blame me for disturbing you for nothing, right?"
Ayers sat down and looked at Green and asked.
"I don't have anything to do on weekdays. If you want to come, just come."
Green nodded.
"I came here before to bring you milk, but it didn't reach you, so I drank it myself."
Ayers smiled at Green and explained his previous behavior.
"So that's how it is."
Green nodded .
"Are you really on such a good terms with the butler?"
Ayers was curious.
It was really rude of him to ask this right out of the blue.
"It's indeed quite good."
Green nodded.
"If something happens to either of you one day, will the other follow?"
Ayers asked.
"Maybe."
Green replied.
"Don't you have any objection to the butler holding most of the power here? I always thought that the nobles always cared more about their rights."
Ayers asked.
"No objection, he does things for me and I don't pay him, I'm very happy."
Green replied.
"I also have a question for you, how about you answer it for me?"
Green asked.
