Chapter 147
"Since you have done me this favor, I will tell you a piece of news for free."
The little boy said while chewing his lollipop.
"What is it?"
Green asked.
"Come over here quietly, I will tell you."
The little boy looked around, hid in the corner of a house, and waved to the two people.
"When pretending to be a ghost, it is best to cover your mouth and nose and don't breathe, otherwise you will be noticed. Once you are noticed, someone will accuse you of being a vandal and then throw you into the fire."
The little boy ran away after saying this.
"Should I write this down or find a loudspeaker?"
Green asked.
"Neither will be used, and it won't be used now anyway. I feel that this is not what he wanted to say before, but it doesn't matter. Let's go back, it's getting dark."
Craigie yawned and said.
Green nodded.
They slowly returned to the hotel.
It was already dusk, but they hadn't had lunch yet.
However, as soon as they entered the room, the boss prepared lunch for them.
"You can take it to your room or eat here, but the same thing applies: don't eat after 8 o'clock, or you'll disturb other people's sleep,"
the boss said.
The two nodded.
"Where are the other two?"
Green looked around the restaurant and didn't see the two people who were nervous during breakfast, so he asked the boss.
"They went back to their room, ate breakfast and left. One said he had a stomachache, and the other said he needed to be taken care of. He even asked for a pot of hot water and told me not to disturb them unless it was okay."
The boss said, spreading his hands.
"It sounds like bad luck,"
Craigie said.
"Why not?"
The boss laughed with an exaggerated expression.
"Is there anything special that needs attention today?"
Green asked.
"A couple is getting married tonight, probably at 9pm. You must not look out the window, or they will invite you to dinner.
If you leave the room at night, you will disturb others' rest, and the guests in other rooms will dislike you, and you may not be able to get used to the wedding banquet here.
But I can give you two wedding candies. You
can eat them when you are hungry and about to faint.
If you have anything, you can call me, but I usually won't come to your door in person."
The boss said.
The two nodded and returned to their rooms.
The dusk had disappeared and it was dark.
Green opened the lunch box. The box was full of color, fragrance and taste, and contained a portion of curry egg fried rice with broccoli and potatoes and fried chicken fillet.
He finished it in five minutes.
He picked up the tableware and walked to the bathroom in the room to rinse the food residue.
But the sink was suddenly blocked.
He took a step back, and some black tea residue suddenly spit out from the gap in the sink, as if someone had poured these things into the room while in the room.
But who would do this? Who would take tea residues out when going out? And not throw them into the trash can, but pour them into the water in the sink.
Who is so free?
Green glanced at the unrinsed tableware in his hands.
He turned on the shower next to him and rinsed the tableware with the shower. When he felt it was almost done, he tore a piece of toilet paper next to the toilet and wiped the water from the lunch box.
Afterwards, he placed the lunch box next to the phone on the bedside table.
Originally, he should have called his boss to ask the waiter to come and collect the dishes.
However, because of the previous experience with the middle-aged woman, he felt that it was not safe, so he decided to take the things away and hand them to his boss when he went out tomorrow morning.
Although he hadn't done anything, the sky was darker than before.
It was very late.
After washing up, he lay on the bed to rest, but he couldn't sleep, so he had to sit up and stare blankly.
While he was in a daze, he felt the shadows in the room getting heavier and heavier. Although he didn't turn on the lights, the cold and heavy feeling was as if a bunch of white bugs were crawling on his body.
He frowned and felt a little uncomfortable.
Not sure if it was the time, he suddenly heard a very sharp suona sound, as if the boss had said the wedding had begun.
He covered his ears, but the sound was very sharp and still penetrated into his ears through the gaps between his fingers, and then penetrated into his brain, flashing and dancing in his brain.
He felt dizzy and was about to lose consciousness.
But he didn't want to feel that way at all.
He took out the wedding candy that the boss had given him from his clothes and put it in his mouth. His head suddenly became clear, but the color in front of his eyes suddenly turned blue-green.
The head of a child with a pale and green face floated in front of him like a balloon, and the body was only as big as a fist. At first glance, it looked like a rag doll, but it was actually blinking.
There was only a fingernail's distance between him and the child's head.
He felt that he was about to faint from fright, but he felt that he couldn't let the child know that he could see.
Otherwise, there might be terrible consequences, because he had already eaten the candy that might have saved him, and it was better not to make things complicated at this time.
He lay back in bed, and at this time, the shrill horns outside the window had stopped sounding, as if the cars had passed by, or those people noticed him.
Whatever the case, things had changed.
He wanted to close his eyes, but just as he closed his eyes, there was a sudden burst of hurried footsteps outside the door, followed by a knock on the door, which was extremely tense and loud.
He was stunned for a moment. He wanted to open his eyes but felt it would be dangerous, so there was no need and he just closed them. It seemed that he fell asleep all of a sudden.
"Please, please save me. I am the young girl you saw during the day. As long as you save me, I will do anything you want. As long as you open the door, I can go in."
The young girl's voice came from outside the door along with the knocks.
But when she spoke, there was a faint shrill sound of a trumpet, as if Green's brain was still inside the trumpet.
Green did not answer.
After knocking on the door for a while, it became quiet.
Green gradually fell asleep.
This night finally passed, and time came to the third day.
The body lying in the corridor belonged to the young woman.
Green vaguely remembered that the boss told him yesterday that the young woman and the young girl lived in the same room. Since the young woman had been in trouble and was lying here, what about the young girl?
Green looked at the rooms where the two people might live.
One room had its door open, and it was empty, with no one inside.
The door of the other room was closed.
Green walked over and knocked on the door.
"Who is it? Who's outside?"
the young girl asked in a panicked and shrill voice.
"A man who lives next door to you and came with you."
Green answered.
"Open the door yourself, it's not locked."
The young girl answered.
"Can you tell me what happened last night?"
Green asked, pushing open the door.
The young girl was curled up in bed, covered with two quilts and a pillow, shivering, not taking off her clothes, with messy hair, pale face, and dry lips.
She looked very ferocious and terrified.
The moment Green pushed open the door, he saw a hint of surprise on her face, as if she thought that the person outside must not open the door.
Could it be that something similar happened last night?
"I had a stomachache last night and fell asleep early, but I heard someone get up and rustle in the middle of the night. I thought it was the young woman sleeping next to me.
I didn't open my eyes, but just mumbled, it's late, go to bed.
The voice paused for a moment, and quickly pushed open the door and ran out. I was awakened by the shock. At first I thought I was having a nightmare, but it felt wrong because the window was open and wind blew in.
I remember that I closed the window before I fell asleep, and it was the young woman who closed it herself. She told me not to blow the wind when I was feeling uncomfortable, otherwise it would easily aggravate the condition.
What she said, what she did, and my memory all proved that the window should not be open, but I actually felt that there was wind. How could there be wind in a closed room?
Either there was a ghost in the room, or someone opened the window.
If there was a ghost in the room, how did the ghost get in? I was lying in bed and not dead yet, so the ghost must be restricted by the rules and could not kill me for the time being. I don’t have to worry too much about this.
But, if someone opened the window, why would they open the window at night? There is nothing to see outside at night. Even if there is, it is very dangerous.
What beautiful things are worth risking your life to see? And no one had told me yet. I felt very strange and secretly opened my eyes.
I saw a dark figure standing at the window, facing outside, with a pale face and long hair. I only took a glance and the person turned his head.
I was afraid of being discovered and dared not look again, so I quickly closed my eyes and pretended to be asleep.
The person walked over, but there was no sound, but I felt that the cold wind was blocked, and then the person disappeared, as if he was not someone in the room.
After the person disappeared, I had time to think of the young woman, who should have been in the same bed with me, but how come... Why haven't you responded yet?
I secretly opened my eyes and found that I was the only one left on the bed. It was not an illusion that I heard someone open the door before.
I stood up and looked outside the door. I could actually see the corridor. I quickly got out of bed and closed the door.
But because I was too anxious and had no idea, the door lock was broken.
The door only looked locked, but it actually opened with a push.
Then someone knocked on the door, the sound was very loud, as if they were knocking very hard.
Then it was the voice of a young woman.
The voice was outside, asking me to open the door.
I didn't dare to open it and covered my head until daytime.
Then you pushed the door open and came to ask me. "Then you asked me to open the door."
The young girl said.
"So that's how it is."
Green nodded in response.
