Chapter 75
"Why don't you change your birthday present?"
Green asked as tactfully as possible with some embarrassment.
"It doesn't matter, I'll just turn into a child again."
Qingyun replied.
Before he finished speaking and before Green could stop him, he saw a puff of smoke in front of him. Qingyun made hand gestures and chanted a spell, and he actually turned into a child.
He threw himself into Green's arms.
"Let's go out and play."
Qingyun said excitedly.
"Okay then."
Green sighed and hugged him.
They went down the mountain. Qingyun wanted to eat candied haws and watch others draw candy paintings. Green stood beside him and felt a little bored.
Qingyun pulled him to play hopscotch, but he shook his head and refused.
"No, no, if someone sees me, they will say I am disrespectful. Play by yourself."
Green said softly.
"Okay then."
Qingyun nodded and started playing by himself.
Soon he attracted many children to play with him.
When it was almost dark, the parents of those children came out to look for people, calling the children's names, and then came to find the children and took the children away.
When the mother of a child came to look for the child, she walked and shouted: "Baby, baby. Where are you? It's time to go home for dinner."
Qingyun suddenly felt envious.
He pulled Green and said: "I want that too."
"Are you torturing me?"
Green asked him.
"If my master doesn't like it, forget it. I'll find someone else."
Qingyun shook her head, and ran to the young woman who called her baby. She pulled the corner of the woman's clothes and asked carefully, "Sister, can you call me baby too?" The young woman was very soft-hearted, probably because she was a mother for the first time .
She put her child on the ground, bent down with a smile, held her child with one hand, and pinched Qingyun's face with the other hand .
"Okay, little baby. Who did you come out with?" the young woman asked. "With my master, that's it." Qingyun pointed back. The young woman looked up, and only had time to see a dodgy white corner of clothes. "Is your master wearing white clothes?" the young woman asked. "Yes, yes." Qingyun nodded. "Then what did he do?" the young woman asked. "My master is very busy, maybe he has something to do. I'll just wait for him to come back here." Qingyun answered. "Does your master not want you? Actually, he is your father, but he doesn't want to recognize you or your mother, so he wants you to be his apprentice, right?" The child in the young lady's hand made a face at Qingyun and said with a smile. Qingyun smiled and replied, "No, I am an orphan. I don't have parents at all. My master will not abandon me. Even if my master really doesn't want me, I will find him back. I know where he is. You just played with me, and you saw what my master looks like. How could a person like my master abandon a child casually? Are you jealous that my master is more handsome than you? Shame on you, shame on you." The young woman hurriedly pulled her child, afraid that the child would talk nonsense again, and wanted to take the child home. But the woman looked around and didn't see the master that Qingyun mentioned. She was worried that Qingyun would get into trouble here alone, so she wanted to take him home with her. "Little baby, do you want to go home with your sister? My sister's house is very big, with a lot of delicious food and beautiful clothes to entertain you. Would you like to go home with us and play together?" the young woman asked. "What if my master comes to find me?" Qingyun asked. "If your master comes to find you, we will send you back to see your master, okay?" the young woman asked. Qingyun nodded. "Okay, I'll play with you." Qingyun replied. As soon as the voice fell, the child in the young lady's hand reached out to hold Qingyun. "Then you have to make a promise, and you are not allowed to regret it. My house is really big. We can play together until very late, but we still have to rest at night." The child said to Qingyun. "Okay, I'll listen to you." Qingyun replied with a smile. The young woman sighed with emotion: "What an obedient child. Much less troublesome than the one in my family." Qingyun was even happier and said with a smile: "My sister's child is smart and pretty. I envy her so much." Everyone was very happy. Qingyun followed the two of them back to their home. He played at their house until very late, until someone knocked on the door to remind them to go to bed early. The child insisted that he sleep in a bed, so he had to agree reluctantly. The child didn't stop until the second half of the night when it was almost dawn. He talked about how good his home was and gradually fell asleep. Qingyun tiptoed, got up from the child's bed and patted his clothes. A flash of white light passed by, and a sound transmission talisman floated in front of him. He touched the talisman, and Green's voice came out from it. "Remember to come back when you've had enough fun," Green said.
"I'm very happy that they have taken me in for all this time. I think maybe I should leave something to thank them."
Qingyun whispered.
After the sound transmission spell burned out, the telekinetic spell flashed beside him, and he reached out to catch a heavy object wrapped in yellow cloth.
He opened the package and saw a golden toad the size of a fist. There were
a few lines of words on the yellow cloth wrapped around the golden toad: ward off disasters, stay healthy, have a harmonious family, and have many children and grandchildren.
Qingyun took out a piece of paper and wrote a line of words, then pressed the golden toad on the note, took away the yellow cloth, disappeared from the room, and returned to the sect.
The next morning, when the child got up, he didn't see Qingyun, but saw a golden toad on the table.
The child thought it was fake gold, so he picked up the golden toad to play with it. He saw a note underneath it, so he picked it up.
"Thank you for taking me in and taking care of me. This is a thank you gift. Please accept it."
The child thought it was a joke and laughed.
The laughter attracted the owner. The young woman followed the laughter to find the child. When she saw the golden toad in the child's hand, she was surprised and looked at the note in the child's hand.
After reading the note, the young woman muttered to herself, "This is really a stroke of luck."
They checked the golden toad, and it was indeed made of real gold.
Qingyun returned to the sect and began to prepare for the sect competition.
"They all said that the master would take special care of me. How does the master plan to take care of me?"
Qingyun asked.
"You are talking strangely."
Green was stunned.
"Master, can you say I'm number one in front of the judges?"
Qingyun asked.
"If you want to cheat, you'd better find a way yourself. I won't help you openly."
Green refused.
"You can't help me openly, does that mean that Master can actually help me secretly? That would be great."
Qingyun flew over and hugged Green like a big dog.
Green had the illusion that Qingyun was using him for training.
"Have you been getting close to physical practitioners recently? They are really strong. If you learn from them and then come back to get close to me like this, I will definitely be killed by you."
Green pushed him away.
"I just felt after I went out that Master is still the best to me."
Qingyun said with a smile.
"I've never seen you like this before. Did you do something behind my back? If you did something bad, I advise you to tell me now, otherwise I can't save you."
Green became alert.
"No, no. I'm happy to see my master every day. I believe that even if I'm a waste, my master will definitely treat me well. Isn't that right?"
Qingyun asked.
"No."
Green was shocked by his words, his eyes widened, and he denied it.
"If you are a waste, I will throw you out right now and find someone else to train you.
I cannot accept that my disciple is a waste, and you obviously have talent, why do you treat me like this?
If you want everyone to look down on me, then you might really achieve your goal by doing this.
That's terrible, it's terrible to think about it, okay?
You might as well say that you want to cut me into pieces and feed my body to some dogs. At least I can imagine that situation.
But if you really dare to turn yourself into a waste, I will turn you into millions of pieces and then put you back into the furnace to be remade. I don't believe that you can really be a waste."
Green walked back and forth and said.
"I see, it turns out that Master cares about this. I will work hard to practice."
Qingyun suddenly became curious.
"As long as you have talent, Master can do anything?"
Qingyun asked.
"What do you want to do for me? There are so many things I can't do. Don't let your imagination run wild."
Green was shocked.
"Then why did the master choose me as his apprentice? Is it because I was an orphan and I have talent? Does the master hate children?
When I was in school with my peers, the master never went to pick me up. Everyone said it was because the master didn't like me.
But I don't believe it.
If he really didn't like me, the master wouldn't have to pick me up. If he just let me stay in the wilderness, I would starve to death or be killed by other beasts sooner or later.
Is there any special reason?"
Qingyun asked.
It has to be said that his question touched the core.
Of course, Green couldn't tell him the truth, at least not now.
If he told the truth, would Green say to him, I found you out after learning the method of snatching?
Green didn't want to bet that Qingyun would think that Green picked Qingyun up just to snatch him after hearing this answer.
That would be too scary.
If Qingyun really thought so after telling the truth, no matter how powerful Qingyun was, he would not give Green an ounce of power.
Green would simply give up all his previous efforts.
This situation was so scary that he didn't even dare to think about it.
"Because you are the man of destiny."
Green said.
"What is the man of destiny?"
"Someone who can help me."
Green replied.
